Beschreibung
Nature-Based Routines, Rituals, & Ceremonies is a five-week live online course for people who want to bring the sacred into everyday life through nature-based spirituality. Led by meditation teacher Julia Frodahl over Zoom, it is a spiritual workshop in building simple morning and evening rituals and nature-based ceremonies, open to anyone drawn to ritual and a closer relationship with the living world.
The course begins from a plain observation: the modern world is skilled at capturing attention and keeping us moving too fast to hear quieter sources of wisdom. Here, structure is offered as something that can create freedom. The approach is attention, experimentation, play and practice, not dogma or rigid routines.
What to Expect
The group meets for five live Zoom calls on Sundays, from 9 to 10:30am Pacific. On each call Julia shares practices and ideas for the steady building of new rituals, routines and ceremonies. Afterward you have the week to weave the next piece into your own life, then return to share and refine.
The arc is gradual:
- Week one: you build a sacred evening routine.
- Week two: you build a morning routine.
- Weeks three to five: once those are established, Julia guides you in creating nature-based ceremonies, a way of collaborating with the more-than-human world on the building of your life. The final session closes the course.
Along the way you reconnect with the natural rhythms your body evolved alongside, and begin to relate to nature not as something "out there" but as what you are and as family. The aim is practices you are drawn to return to, rather than another set of routines you have to make yourself follow.
Participants are added to a private community network, where they can share thoughts, insights and challenges with classmates as the course unfolds. Julia notes that past participants often describe her communities as kind, safe and supportive.
About Julia Frodahl
Julia Frodahl is a meditation teacher and inner-work guide who offers what she calls a garden of teachings for people drawn to deep inner work that restores self-love, presence and belonging, for the individual and the collective. She describes her work as slow and honest, work that heals at the roots and changes how a person thinks, feels and lives.
She did not come to this path as a planned career. She came looking for her own way out of pain and for an understanding of the world. She describes a childhood marked by aggressive cancer treatment and an unsafe home, where she found belonging in nature and imagination. As a young adult she studied philosophy, spent time in Buddhist circles, taught herself to write music and lived an artist's life. After a loss that upended that life, she sat with her emptiness in the desert and studied psychology.
Before You Go
No prior experience is required. The course is taught in English and takes place entirely online, so you can join from wherever you are, though the live calls follow Pacific time.
Included are the five live Zoom calls with Julia, weekly guidance for building evening, morning and ceremonial practices, membership in the private community network, and access to the course materials for 160 days from the course start. Extensions beyond that period are not available.
