Accessing Past Life Memories Through Meditation Practice

Saqib Rizvi, a meditation teacher, opens his talk "Accessing Past Life Memories" with a claim most people would call far-fetched: that remembering past lives is not only possible but achievable through a method you can practice yourself. He says he personally remembers "about 11 or 12" of his own past lives, and that the memories came to him first in dreams before he reached them in deep meditation. His central argument is that these memories are not stored on the surface of the mind but in the deepest layer of consciousness, and that the route down there is a matter of regular practice rather than a therapist's hour. What follows is an explanation of the ideas behind his six-step approach, including the parts of the talk that are easy to skim past and the parts that carry the most weight.

Read · 9 sections

Is it really possible to remember your past lives?

Rizvi's opening move is to ask the reader to consider the question before worrying about technique. "If you are hearing this talk today I'm sure that deep down you know that maybe it is possible," he says at the start of the video, and he frames the rest of the talk around people who already sense that something in them is older than this life. His point is not that you need to be convinced first. It is that the sense of recognition many people report is the starting material.

He also points to a broader pattern. In the talk he notes that "a lot of yogis monks" and shamans recall past lives with ease, some even claiming memories reaching back to birth, and that "there are many many cases of children remembering past lives." He does not walk through specific cases or sources in this talk, so treat those remarks as his observations rather than established findings. What he is building toward is a claim about access: the more you practice going inward, the more of this material becomes available to you.

Why does past-life regression usually take hours?

Rizvi is clear that his method is not a substitute for past-life regression, which he describes as the traditional route. In regression, "you usually have a past life regressionist or a therapist or a hypnotherapist who works with you" and guides you through the process. The sessions are long. He says it can take "an hour or more" to reach the right state, "sometimes two hours three hours."

His alternative is framed as shorter and quicker, with a caveat that matters: it "does require us to meditate regularly." The logic is that the skill is not in a single session but in the cumulative depth of your practice. "The more we meditate it becomes easier for us to access these past lives," he says. Read this way, the six steps are less a recipe than a training sequence, each one preparing the ground for the next.

Where do past-life memories actually live?

The conceptual heart of the talk is a layered model of the mind that Rizvi illustrates with the image of an ocean. The surface, with its waves, is the conscious mind: the layer where you notice your body and the world around you, "this waking world," as he puts it. Go a little deeper and you reach the subconscious, where the automatic processes live. Your heartbeat, your digestion and breathing run without your attention, and so do habits. He gives the examples of nail-biting and driving, which becomes so automatic that you can arrive at the office without remembering the drive.

The unconscious is the next layer down, and it is the one Rizvi finds most personally instructive. He calls it the place of "your Deeper Self," which he also describes as "that part of you" you may not know is there, and he links it to patterns that shape relationships. His example is revealing. If a parent was controlling but also comforting, a child may come to associate control with safety, and in adulthood keep attracting controlling people while feeling oddly at home with them. He says this is how "a lot of people attract narcissists," though he adds that "we don't even realize that we are doing that." He describes living this pattern himself after being controlled in childhood.

Past-life memories, in his model, sit beneath even that. "The past life memories lie even deeper than the unconscious," he says, comparing them to "that Bedrock of the ocean which is very difficult to access." The difficulty, he suggests, is cultural as much as personal: because we are "very much focused on the outer world," we rarely do the inner journey that would let us reach that floor.

What is super consciousness, and why start there?

Step one, in Rizvi's sequence, is what he calls super consciousness. He defines it as "that deepest awareness of yours which is beyond the body which is beyond your" thinking, the layer that is aware of the other layers. The question he poses is almost Socratic: who is observing the thoughts, the feelings, the body? That observer is the point from which the rest of the method operates. If you cannot yet sense the observer, the past-life material remains out of reach, because you are still identified with the surface waves.

What role does the pineal gland play in this method?

Step two is pineal gland activation, and this is where the talk moves into claims that will need a reader's own judgment. Rizvi describes the gland as "very small," about "the size of a rice grain," and he argues that it can be activated and that activation "helps us access past life memories." His explanation uses an analogy to conductors: when pressure is applied to a substance that conducts, it becomes electrified. Applied to the gland, he says, this lets it tune into frequencies in the way a television tunes into channels. He presents this as his own understanding, not as a settled physiological fact, and the video does not cite a source for the mechanism.

What he is more concrete about is the practice. He suggests that you need not apply physical pressure. Instead, you can channel your breath toward the gland. "Your breath it is also known" as a route inward, and holding attention there for longer periods is how he expects the gland to respond. This matters because it keeps the method inside meditation rather than turning it into a bodily procedure.

Why does Rizvi insist on setting an intention first?

Before the practice goes deep, Rizvi emphasizes a clear intention, because the mind goes where it is pointed. His reasoning comes from his own history. He describes past lives he has recalled that were far from comfortable, including one in which he "was like a demon or a monster" in a "Dark Realm which was like a hell Realm." If you go in without direction, he warns, you may meet whatever is closest to the surface, and some of it may be painful.

His remedy is simple. Name the kind of experience you want before you begin, and say it to yourself or write it on paper. He pairs this with a note about vibration. The experience you encounter, he suggests, "can be a vibration of fear," but if you raise your vibration by "bringing love into my body," the material that arrives tends to be different. He recommends heart-centered meditations for this, and extends the sentiment outward: to loved ones, neighbors, animals, insects, the whole earth, "all existence." Intention, in this framing, is both a guide and a form of care.

What is active sensing, and how is it different from visualization?

The step Rizvi calls "the most critical" is active sensing, and it is the one most worth slowing down for. He begins with the familiar technique of looking at the inner side of closed eyelids. In the dark field you may see colors, shapes, or fractals. He links this to active imagination, a method he associates with a founding figure of modern psychology. But he argues that active imagination is not enough. In it, "you are intentionally bringing some visuals into your mind," and the images are yours to construct.

Active sensing goes further. You stop trying to produce pictures and instead attend to what arrives on its own: images, sounds, and especially "feelings and emotions which you can notice which might have a connection with those past lives." He is candid that early results may be thin. You might see a tree and think you are seeing a past life when you are simply seeing a tree from your memory of this one. His correction is that the process is about clearing thought, because "if you are having thoughts in your mind you will see" the thoughts instead. Patience and quiet are the real instruments here.

What does "connecting the dots" ask you to do?

The final step, which Rizvi calls connecting the dots, is about integration. Fragments rarely arrive as a story. He describes an image of "a swing," then a sound of laughter, then a feeling, and says the work is to notice how these pieces relate. A single moment can seem trivial alone and meaningful when linked to the others. He recommends keeping a diary to record each session, because memory of the experience fades quickly and the pattern only becomes visible across several entries.

This is also where the talk's emphasis on the unconscious becomes practical. The fragments you recover may connect to habits and attractions you already have in this life, which is why Rizvi's earlier discussion of relationship patterns is not a digression. The past-life material and the present-life patterns are, in his model, drawn from the same deep layer.

Where to go from here

If Rizvi's talk has done its job, you now have a map and a sequence: start at the surface, locate the observer of super consciousness, prepare the body and breath around the pineal gland, set a clear and caring intention, practice active sensing rather than forced imagery, and then record and connect what emerges. Reading the outline is not the same as doing it, and Rizvi himself frames the method as something that improves with regular meditation. Begin with short sessions, keep a journal from the first day, and be honest with yourself about the difference between what you observe and what you conclude.

For the complete instruction, Rizvi points viewers to his course on accessing past lives, linked in the video description on Insight Timer, along with his other offerings. The talk itself was published in November 2022 and runs about twenty-seven minutes. Watch it through once for the structure, then return to the sections on intention and active sensing when you are ready to practice.

[0:01] hello Namaste and welcome to this talk  which is called accessing past life memories

[0:07] before we learn how to access past life  Memories the first question to ask is whether

[0:14] it is possible or not and if you are hearing this  talk today I'm sure that deep down you know that

[0:22] maybe it is possible or maybe you have already  experienced your past lives maybe you remember

[0:28] your past lives the way I do as of now I remember  about 11 or 12 of my past lives and these have

[0:38] been profound life-changing experiences and today  I want to share with you how to do that because

[0:47] there are various ways one of the most popular  ways to do that is called past life regression

[0:55] and this talk is not about past life regression  because past life regression mostly requires

[1:04] someone to work with you know you usually have  a past life regressionist or a therapist or a

[1:11] hypnotherapist who works with you who guides  you through that process and usually it's a

[1:16] long process so even if you're doing a past life  regression meditation it will take you about

[1:21] you know an hour or more than that to  at least an hour to get into that state

[1:27] sometimes two hours three hours but the  method that I want to propose today is

[1:34] is a much shorter method it's a much quicker  method although it does require practice it

[1:41] does require us to meditate regularly because  the more we meditate it becomes easier for us

[1:48] to access these past lives and accessing past  lives and remembering past lives has become

[1:55] a very common phenomena especially with people  getting into meditation because the thing as you

[2:01] will see in these six steps about accessing  past lives is that they lie deep into your

[2:08] deep into your Consciousness the more you go  deeper and deeper into your Consciousness the

[2:13] more you start accessing them and this is the  reason that a lot of yogis monks they remember

[2:20] their past lives very easily you know many of  them even remember their past lives from their

[2:26] birth a lot of uh yogis monks and shamans in fact  a lot of General people as well not necessarily

[2:34] meditators or shamans but there are many many  cases of children remembering past lives so

[2:45] how to do that

[2:48] I will propose a method in this talk and  it's a six step method and what happened

[2:55] with me was that initially first I went for a  past life regression session and that's when

[3:01] I remembered my past life but even before that I  have been remembering my past life through dreams

[3:08] also um you know then as I got deeper  into meditation as some of you would

[3:15] know I'm a meditation teacher and as I  got deeper into my meditation practice

[3:21] I started accessing those past life memories  in those deeper states of meditation

[3:27] so how to do that so here are the six steps to  access past lives number one super consciousness

[3:40] now what is super consciousness

[3:45] super Consciousness is a deeper level of  Consciousness as I said that we have to go

[3:51] deeper into Consciousness into our Consciousness  to access those past life memories now the first

[4:01] level of Consciousness we have is the conscious  mind you know if you look at if you take the

[4:06] analogy of an ocean for example the surface of the  ocean where the waves are it's like the conscious

[4:12] mind and in your conscious mind you are awake you  you can see this waking world right you can see

[4:20] what's happening you you can easily notice what's  happening all around you this external world

[4:27] you can notice your body you can notice everything  around you so that's your conscious mind but as

[4:32] you go deeper in the in the ocean you start  accessing the subconscious mind now the

[4:38] subconscious mind has our habits our automatic  processes for example the beating of our heart

[4:46] is something which is subconscious right you  don't have to consciously beat your heart or

[4:53] consciously think about beating your heart it  happens automatically similarly goes for all the

[4:59] systems in our battery body our digestive system  our respiratory system all these are automatic

[5:05] subconscious processes now our habits are also  subconscious our patterns are regular habits

[5:14] um for example

[5:17] if I have a nail biting habit and I  sometimes I won't even realize that

[5:21] I'm doing that it's just a habit and it has  become subconscious it has become automatic

[5:27] similarly goes for smoking or similarly goes for  um you know even useful things like driving is

[5:34] a habit you don't have to consciously think of  driving your car while you are driving it right

[5:40] if you are an experienced driver it has become an  automatic process for you sometimes you will go to

[5:46] the office you won't even realize when you you  know when you turn the steering when you change

[5:52] the gear or when you uh press the accelerator it  you are you it's happening automatically sometimes

[6:00] you would just be in your thought process  thinking about something and you will reach

[6:04] your office and you won't even know how did you  do that you won't even you know remember how when

[6:11] did you do all those things so it has become an  automatic process so this is the subconscious mind

[6:17] now as we go much deeper into the ocean we  start accessing those slightly dark areas

[6:23] you know which is the unconscious  mind now the unconscious mind is

[6:30] where your Deeper Self exists  which is also called Your Shadow

[6:38] you know that is that part of you which you  sometimes you don't even know that it is inside

[6:42] you there are some habits of hours which even  don't we don't realize that we have those habits

[6:50] those deeper habits we have certain patterns that  even we don't realize that we have those patents

[6:58] for example these unconscious pattern  can be something like let's say you are

[7:06] attracted to certain kind of people the question  is why are you attracted to those certain kinds

[7:13] of people now something your childhood  would have would have shaped that right

[7:19] for example if someone was controlling in  my childhood used to control me and if if

[7:25] that was a parent figure then I will become I  will feel comfortable by being controlled you

[7:32] know I will make that Association that my parent  although they are controlling but they are also

[7:38] comforting now what will happen is that we will  develop a habit or a pattern of attracting people

[7:43] in our Lives who are controlling because whenever  I meet a controlling person I I start I have that

[7:51] Association of comfort from my parent so I make  that Association and I start feeling comfortable

[7:57] and this is how a lot of people attract  narcissists in their life but we don't even

[8:02] realize that we are doing that they have become  such an unconscious process and this happened

[8:07] with me you know I was controlled by someone  in my childhood and then I started attracting

[8:13] similar kind of people in my life because I feel  started feeling comfortable with them so many of

[8:18] our habits patterns we we don't we don't know we  don't even realize that they exist and they are

[8:24] the part of that you know that deeper unconscious  mind now the thing you notice about as you go

[8:32] deeper into Consciousness your Consciousness it  becomes more and more difficult to access our

[8:38] you know deeper levels of consciousness for  example it is very difficult to know about

[8:44] these deep habits and patterns that we have the  reason is that the way our society is conditioned

[8:51] we are very much focused on the outer world we  haven't done an inner Journey we are not focused

[8:59] on going inwards rather we are just focused on  you know noticing what are things outside of us

[9:04] that's how we are conditioned so the past life  memories lie even deeper than the unconscious

[9:13] they lie much much deeper you know it's like  that Bedrock of the ocean which is very difficult

[9:20] to access and that's why it requires good  meditation practice to access those deeper levels

[9:28] and if you are a regular meditation practitioner  then it will become much easier for you

[9:33] so that's where you know the those past  life memories lie that in that deep layer

[9:39] of Consciousness near almost that bed of the ocean  so this is super this level is super Consciousness

[9:48] this deeper deepest level of yours where your  past life memories lie is your super consciousness

[9:55] you know this is the level of much deeper you  know the deepest level inside you you can also

[10:01] call it people call it by different names uh  you know you can call it the soul you can call

[10:06] it the spirit you can call it your astral body  but it is that deepest level of your awareness

[10:13] you know it is that deepest awareness of yours  which is beyond the body which is beyond your

[10:20] emotions which is beyond which is beyond your  thoughts which is beyond this Persona that we

[10:25] have created in the world this is it is that  Observer if you are if you are observing the

[10:32] body if you can observe your emotions if you are  if you can observe your thoughts the question is

[10:37] who is observing that right so there is this  deepest level of your awareness Consciousness

[10:43] where those past life memories lie and that is  super Consciousness the super Consciousness can

[10:51] mostly be accessed through deeper and deeper  meditation practices the more you meditate uh

[10:58] if you are if you meditate regularly it will be  much easier for you to access super consciousness

[11:07] now moving on to the next step  which is pineal gland activation

[11:14] pineal gland activation pineal gland activation  is also called as Third Eye Activation

[11:21] now you might have heard about this term but  what is this what is the pineal gland pineal

[11:29] gland is a small gland it's actually  a physically gland inside our brain

[11:34] and it is very small it is almost  you know the size of a rice grain

[11:41] and the it is also called third eye activation  because you know it represents the Third Eye

[11:49] chakra if you know about the chakras then it  represents represents the Third Eye chakra

[11:56] so this what is the significance of this pineal  gland our pineal gland is that Center which which

[12:03] if activated helps us access past life memories  how does it do that let me explain that a bit

[12:11] so your pineal gland has you know if you  if you study about the pineal gland you

[12:16] will find out that the pineal gland has a  crystalline structure it has small crystals

[12:22] and it has something which is known in physics as  piezoelectric properties piezoelectric properties

[12:32] now what happens is that when pressure is applied  you know any substance or any conductor which has

[12:39] piezoelectric properties when pressure is  when mechanical pressure is applied on it

[12:45] it starts generating electricity that's what  piezoelectric properties means that if mechanical

[12:51] if you are applying mechanical pressure on  it it will start generating electricity now

[12:56] what this means is that if I apply pressure on  my pineal gland it will get electrified and it

[13:03] will start it will start conducting if it will  start connecting to some frequencies you know

[13:11] we this whole universe works on frequencies its  whole universe is a vibration We Now understand

[13:17] that with quantum physics so this Dimension  that we are accessing you know this world

[13:23] this three-dimensional world it is resonating  it's vibrating at a certain frequency but there

[13:31] might be other dimensions which might be uh which  might be resonating or vibrating at a different

[13:38] frequency so when I activate my pineal gland my  pineal gland gets electrified and it connects to

[13:45] different frequencies or different dimensions and  so I start accessing those deeper dimensions of my

[13:51] being where my past life you know past lives  are happening or my past life memories exist

[14:00] it's you know the spiney gland is something  like uh like a transducer it's something like

[14:05] a TV antenna for example what does your TV  antenna do what it does is it will connect

[14:11] to different frequencies and it will display those  frequencies in the form of images onto the screen

[14:17] of your television right so similarly our Pioneer  gland connects to these different frequencies of

[14:24] different dimensions and it displays those images  of these different dimensions onto the screen

[14:29] of our mind this is what it does so activating  the pineal gland is a very helpful activity for

[14:36] accessing past lives it enhances your capability  to access past lives so to activate your pineal

[14:43] gland what we do is as I said we apply pressure  on it so how to apply pressure on it there are

[14:49] various practices um one of the popular practices  is known as Kundalini Awakening which I will not

[14:56] go into much detail because uh you know it's not  it will require require another entire session on

[15:02] that but kundali in Kundalini Awakening basically  you kind of raise your energy through the chakras

[15:08] and you apply that energy here but I will tell you  simpler methods to activate your pineal gland the

[15:14] simpler methods are that you can you can first  make a practice do a practice of concentration

[15:22] concentrating your focus on on this part of your  head you know just right between your eyebrows

[15:29] at the center of your forehead if you if you do  concentration there if you focus your awareness

[15:36] there for longer durations you will activate  your finely land because there is a saying

[15:41] that where your awareness goes the energy flows  so basically when you're placing your awareness

[15:46] there the energy flows there and automatically  your pineal gland starts getting activated

[15:53] another practice you can do is to breathe in  and out of it to channel your breath as you're

[15:58] breathing it breathing in Channel your breath to  this part because your breath it is also known

[16:04] as Prana Prana means life force and you are  actually applying your life first onto your

[16:11] pineal gland when you breathe in and out of it  and that's how your pineal gland gets activated

[16:17] the third step is intention now intention is  very important intention is like that Arrow

[16:26] which gives Direction to where you are going  it's a good idea to have a clear intention

[16:34] of why you want to access your past lives or you  know what kind of a past life you want to access

[16:42] because there can be different kinds of past  lives we don't only have human lives we have

[16:48] other kinds of past lives as well we have  been through a lot we have been through many

[16:53] lifetimes we have not only been human we have been  animal we have been maybe you know something like

[17:00] an extraterrestrial species we have maybe some  been something like an extra dimensional species

[17:06] so it's not necessary you have only accessed  uh you have only experienced human life you you

[17:12] might have experienced life in various forms also  it's a good idea to have an intention so that you

[17:20] can mention that what kind of an experience you  want to have because if we go without intention

[17:28] there is a possibility that we might also  experience some past lives which are pretty dark

[17:34] I have had many uh you know past life experiences  which were very very dark in fact I remember one

[17:40] of my past lives in which I was you know I was  almost like a uh like a six uh I had six Limbs

[17:49] and I was like a demon or a monster and I was  in this Dark Realm which was like a hell Realm

[17:58] and uh I was standing on a bridge and it was a  world of molten lava all around me as if I was

[18:05] inside the Earth or underground somewhere and I  I realized that I was a very fearful being and

[18:11] I used to kill other beings because of my own  fear so you might have experiences which are

[18:17] dark experiences if you don't want to have  dark experiences in your intention you can

[18:22] also state that you want to have you know  experiences which are Pleasant experiences

[18:28] so how I put how I do my intention is I would  state that you know my intention is to access my

[18:36] past lives in higher dimensions and only Pleasant  experiences I I mentioned that specifically you

[18:44] can write down your intention maybe on a paper or  repeat that intention in your mind whatever it is

[18:51] the fourth step the fourth step is  Raising vibration raising vibration

[18:58] what does it mean to raise vibration it means  that if you want to have pleasant experiences

[19:05] rather than dark experiences then it's a good  idea to raise your vibration whatever vibration

[19:13] we are having you know and that vibration can be  different vibration it can be a vibration of fear

[19:19] which is a low vibration or it can be a vibration  of love joy happiness which is a higher vibration

[19:26] so if I am having a low vibration if I am having  a vibration of fear then by law of attraction

[19:33] that's what I will attract in my experience I  will have a you know fearful unpleasant dark

[19:39] past life experience but if I am raising my  vibration if I'm bringing love into my body

[19:45] if I'm bringing joy happiness peace into my  body then automatically uh I will have I will

[19:52] attract Pleasant experiences and I will have  pleasant past life experiences I will remember

[19:57] the pleasant part past life experiences so how  to raise your vibration again do a meditation

[20:05] um you know most of the meditations help you to  raise your vibration especially heart centered

[20:10] meditations because your heart is the center for  love and you know a simple practice that I do to

[20:17] access past lives is to raise my vibration  first is to I place my hand on my heart

[20:23] and then I breathe in and out of my heart and  then I send out some loving energy to to others

[20:30] to my loved ones to my neighbors to animals  to insects to all Earth to all existence as

[20:37] I send out this loving energy I my vibration  raises because when you when you give love

[20:42] to others automatically your vibration will  also be erased you will be loving right so

[20:49] these are some practices which can help you to  to raise your vibration now comes the fifth step

[20:57] which is active sensing and this is the most  critical step and it is important I would ask

[21:03] you to have your concentration now because this  is something which is important to understand

[21:09] active sensing is based on and I created this  method of active sensing which is based on

[21:17] Carl Jung's method of active imagination it is  influenced by that Carl Jung as some of you would

[21:24] know he was you know one of the founding fathers  of modern psychology a great Mystic and he created

[21:31] a method for therapy uh which is called active  imagination so what happens in active imagination

[21:37] is that you close your eyes and as you close  your eyes you allow anything to come up so this

[21:48] is different from visualization because when you  visualize what you do is you intentionally bring

[21:53] some visuals into your mind right but in this you  are not intentionally bringing some visuals into

[21:59] your mind you are allowing anything to come up  so what Kalyan would do with his patients is he

[22:06] would tell them to close their eyes and to see  as if they are looking outside but their eyes

[22:12] are closed so if you are looking with your eyes  closed what happens is that you will be kind of

[22:18] looking at the inner side of your eyelid right but  it is dark totally dark now in this Darkness what

[22:25] will happen is maybe initially you will not see  anything but gradually things will start to appear

[22:31] first you might see some you know some patterns  some light patterns they will not make sense

[22:38] but gradually you will as you keep looking keep  looking you will start seeing that those patterns

[22:44] have turned into shapes you know or fractals uh  and then you can then as you keep looking and keep

[22:52] looking at one point of time you will start seeing  visuals and images as you keep doing this practice

[22:59] and then those visuals and images you know these  are the visuals and images if you if you keep

[23:05] noticing them there will come a point of time  that you will start seeing those visuals from

[23:11] your past lives initially you might not see those  visuals from your past lives initially you might

[23:17] see images which are from this lifetime which you  know for example um you you just notice something

[23:26] a while ago maybe you were looking at a tree you  know some moments ago and as you close your eyes

[23:32] you what you see is a tree right so that doesn't  mean that you are seeing a past life necessarily

[23:38] because you just saw a tree and you're seeing  that see Tree in your visual but it means that

[23:46] initially those images will come  from this life but as you keep

[23:51] keep going deeper and deeper if you stay longer  in this process and if you clear your thoughts

[23:59] there will come a point of time when you will  start noticing visuals from other lives as well

[24:05] so it's all about clearing the thoughts if you  are having thoughts in your mind you will see

[24:10] visuals from this lifetime but if your mind is  clear and that's why it's a good idea to do a

[24:15] mind clearing meditation before doing this if  your mind is clear then you will start noticing

[24:21] visuals from your deeper levels of consciousness  and those visuals from past lives will come up

[24:28] so this was active imagination but active  sensing goes beyond that in which you don't only

[24:37] notice visuals but you also notice how you  are feeling you also notice uh you know what

[24:44] what sounds are you listening to you also  notice smells and you might start having

[24:49] sounds which are Beyond from this word which are  share Beyond this world you might start having

[24:55] feelings and emotions which you can notice which  might have a connection with those past lives

[25:01] so in active sensing you are also involving your  other senses and not only your visuals but all

[25:09] of your senses and you're noticing everything  about how you feel how what are you listening to

[25:13] what are you smelling what are you seeing what are  the sensations in your body you notice everything

[25:20] the final step is called connecting  the dots now what does this mean

[25:28] connecting the dots means that you are connecting  all those experiences that you have had

[25:37] so when you do active sensing whatever experiences  you have it's a good idea to write them down

[25:44] and if you are writing down for example let's  say that you saw a tree right and then you saw

[25:52] um a swing and then you notice you you  heard a sound of laughter and you feel

[25:59] Joy then maybe when you write these different  pieces down then you can connect them and then

[26:06] maybe you will realize when you connect these  dots that okay maybe you were a child who are

[26:12] you know on a swing which was tied to a tree  something like that so as when you notice all

[26:19] these images sounds it's a good idea to First  create a diary and write down these experiences

[26:26] separately but then when you look at all these  experiences you start connecting the dots in

[26:31] you know a story will start building up and then  you will notice the story that what that story is

[26:39] so it for connecting the dots it's a good idea to  journal different experiences and start connecting

[26:46] them to see that what story of your past life  is coming up I hope you found value in this talk

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Saqib Rizvi says yes, and claims he personally remembers about 11 or 12 of his past lives. He argues that these memories lie in the deepest layer of consciousness and can be reached with regular meditation practice rather than only through hypnosis or regression therapy.
Past-life regression usually involves a regressionist, therapist, or hypnotherapist guiding you through a session that can run an hour or several hours. Rizvi presents his six-step method as a shorter practice you do yourself, though he notes it requires regular meditation to become effective.
Rizvi describes the pineal gland as roughly the size of a rice grain and says activating it helps access past-life memories. He suggests channeling your breath toward the gland rather than applying physical pressure, and presents the mechanism as his own understanding rather than established science.
Active sensing is the step Rizvi calls the most critical. Instead of deliberately constructing mental images as in active imagination, you attend to whatever images, sounds, feelings, and emotions arise on their own during quiet, thought-free meditation.
Rizvi warns that without a clear intention you may encounter painful material, recounting his own experience of a past life that felt like a hell realm. He recommends naming the kind of experience you want, either aloud, in your mind, or on paper, and working from a heart-centered, loving vibration.
In his analogy, the conscious mind is the surface of the ocean, the subconscious holds automatic habits and bodily processes, and the unconscious is a deeper layer he calls your Deeper Self or shadow. It holds patterns such as being drawn to controlling people, and past-life memories sit beneath it at the bedrock.
Yes, according to Rizvi. He recommends creating a diary to write down experiences because fragments are easily forgotten, and patterns become visible only when you compare entries over several sessions. This is the practical core of his final step, connecting the dots.
