Yoga Workshop
Description
Body Harmony is a yoga workshop and weekend of therapeutic self-care at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. Led by Kripalu faculty member Antoinette Simms, it is for anyone who wants practical, body-based tools for releasing tension and feeling more at home in themselves. No prior experience with the tools or with somatic movement is needed.
What to Expect
The weekend is interactive and hands-on. Antoinette Simms teaches techniques, routines, and sequences using therapy tools: a physio ball, a soft foam roller, Yoga Tune Up® Balls, and a chair. Alongside these, you experience somatic movement, sound therapy, and sacred movement. The aim is a felt sense of connection with, and awareness of, the body as you release physical, emotional, and mental tension, improve flexibility and overall mobility, and bring more balance into daily life.
Group sharing is part of the program, giving you a chance to integrate what you notice with a community of like-minded people. You leave knowing how to weave these self-care practices into everyday life.
The days follow the usual Kripalu rhythm. On the opening day, check-in begins at 2:00 pm, followed by a Kripalu Yoga class, dinner, and an evening program session from 7:00 to 9:00. Full days begin with Kripalu Yoga at 6:30 am and a silent breakfast, then program sessions from 9:00 to 11:30 am and 1:30 to 4:00 pm, with lunch between. After an afternoon yoga class and dinner, there is a final session in the evening. On the closing morning, yoga and silent breakfast are followed by a program session from 9:00 to 11:00, then lunch and departure. Times may vary, so check the guest boards or the schedule you receive at check-in.

The Setting
Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health sits in Stockbridge, in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. Accommodations are intentionally simple, meant to help you unplug and feel grounded. Options include private rooms, semi-private rooms shared with one or two roommates, and community dormitories that foster connection with other participants. Rooms are ready by 4:00 pm, and a luggage room is available if you arrive earlier. On the last day, room check-out is at 10:00 am, and you may stay on campus and take part in workshops until 2:00 pm.
Your stay includes three nutritious meals a day, more than ten yoga classes over the weekend, and access to the Kripalu grounds. Breakfasts are silent. Healing Arts sessions and items from the Kripalu Shop and Cafe are available for separate purchase.
Before You Go
You must bring your own therapy tools to take part: a physio ball, a soft-density foam roller (a strap is optional), and Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls. They fold or pack down easily enough to travel in a suitcase. For most bodies 5'2" and taller, Antoinette recommends a 65cm physio ball. Accommodation is booked separately from the program. The program is taught in English.
