Can Consciousness Be Measured in the Lab? Superhuman Research

Caroline Cory, a filmmaker, author and consciousness researcher, traces her life's work back to a childhood experience at age five, when a room filled with light convinced her she was in the presence of something larger than herself. In a conversation with Michael Beckwith on his podcast Take Back Your Mind, she explains how she spent years studying her own experiences, developed methods for expanding awareness and self-repair, and then made a deliberate choice to stop relying on personal testimony and bring consciousness into the laboratory. Her film Superhuman 2: The Rebirth follows that logic: it works with people who are blind and asks whether trained perception can identify shapes, letters, words and objects without ordinary sight. The argument at the center of the talk is not mystical comfort. It is the claim that a belief in human potential becomes useful only when someone can verify it.

What did a five-year-old see that changed a life?

Cory's account begins with spontaneous experiences that she says allowed her to perceive beyond the ordinary world. She described sensing energy, seeing beings and hearing things, and she was careful to say she first had to rule out the possibility that she was simply unwell. Once she had, she concluded that she was tapping into a larger field of consciousness, and that she had known from the start that there was more to existence than what the senses report.

The first experience came at five, and it is the detail that gives the rest of her story its shape:

"I saw this light that filled the room and I realized I was in the presence of divine beings, and we were merged in this magnificent energy. I could hear, see, sense everything."

— Caroline Cory, in conversation with Michael Beckwith, Take Back Your Mind [6:28]

At the time, she said, she didn't think much of it. You are five, and you don't know what you are experiencing. The meaning arrived later, when she recognized a signature she now calls source, a frequency of pure love she could return to "no matter what I'm doing." That recognition gave her a reference point, a way of checking whether the work she was doing was expanding in the right direction. It is worth noticing how early this structure took hold: an experience, then a memory of its quality, then a practice of returning to that quality. Everything that followed in her work is built on that loop.

Why did personal experience need a laboratory?

Many people who have unusual experiences either learn to live with them quietly or become teachers and healers. Cory did both. The question Michael Beckwith put to her was why she went further, into the scientific realm. Her answer began with a frustration: she moved first into psychology and found it too narrow for the subject of consciousness. She then spent what she estimated as fifteen to twenty years doing research that was, for the most part, on herself. The aim was to understand the mechanics of how she could sit quietly and then find herself merged with what she calls divine intelligence, downloading information.

Over that long period she said she came to understand frequencies and the mechanics of what was happening, and she developed methodologies to expand consciousness along with approaches to self-healing and self-repair. The results she described were striking. People, she said, would spontaneously heal certain conditions. Traumas and phobias that had persisted for years dissolved, sometimes instantly. People who wanted to stop drinking, including some who took her online class rather than attending live sessions, reported that their alcohol addiction lifted.

Her response to those outcomes is the hinge of the entire conversation:

"If you're a believer, that's wonderful. But it was more than that. It was, wait a minute, something real is happening. We need to tell the rest of the world that this is real. To believe in yourself, to believe in your potential."

— Caroline Cory, in conversation with Michael Beckwith, Take Back Your Mind [7:42]

This is the pivot from faith to method. A testimony of transformation can persuade people who already share the framework. It does little for a skeptic, or for a person who has never had an experience and wants reasons to try. So Cory asked how she could do that, and her answer was direct: "I need scientists. I need to kind of bring that to the lab and do experiments and verify, validate, get data on the fact that your consciousness is in fact affecting the physical world."

"I started working one scientist after another and having incredible results."

— Caroline Cory, in conversation with Michael Beckwith, Take Back Your Mind [9:49]

Her collaborations, as Beckwith introduced them, include scientists affiliated with Harvard Medical School, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Stanford University. In 2010 she founded Omnium Media, a company devoted to films that bring scientific investigation to subjects often considered outside conventional inquiry. Her earlier films, Superhuman: The Invisible Made Visible and A Tear in the Sky, received nine international film festival awards and two nominations, according to Beckwith's introduction.

What does Superhuman 2 test that the first film didn't?

Cory described Superhuman 2: The Rebirth as a film that explores consciousness and untapped human potential through documented experiments and scientific inquiry. Beckwith is one of its contributors. The sequel's central move is to work with people who are blind. The purpose, as the episode presents it, is to show that potential takes different forms, and that some of those forms cannot be explained by the ordinary channels of sight.

The film's participants were trained and tested to identify shapes, letters, words and objects despite profound visual impairment. That design matters. If someone can identify a written word without functional sight, the researcher has to ask what channel is carrying the information, and whether the explanation is conventional at all. The experiments are framed as a way of testing the possibility that consciousness can perceive beyond the physical senses. The episode's description notes one experiment that surprised even Cory, though the excerpt available does not give its details, so those are best discovered in the film itself.

Beckwith's own enthusiasm for the subject came through in his framing. He said he loves the word potential and does not like seeing people fail to activate theirs. Cory's film gives that love an empirical test: not a claim that potential exists, but a set of protocols that ask what happens when a person is pushed to the edge of their known capacities.

Can perception happen without the senses?

The idea underneath the blind-participant work is one of the more provocative in the conversation. Cory's personal experience told her that awareness is not confined to the body's sensory apparatus. Her research program was an attempt to find out whether that awareness could be measured, repeated and observed by people who did not already share her conviction. The result she is reaching for is a claim with two parts: that consciousness is active in the physical world, and that its activity can be verified by data.

It is important to hold that claim carefully. The episode does not present a settled scientific consensus, and Cory's language often moves between what she observed in herself and clients, what the scientists found, and what she believes is possible. The honest reading is that she is describing a research program in progress, one she considers worth funding and filming precisely because it has not yet been resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

Why does potential come in different forms?

The film's emotional center appears in an exchange near the top of the episode, where the discussion turns to children performing music. Cory said she wanted to show that potential comes in different forms, and the crew she described was visibly moved by watching young performers at the piano. A speaker in the episode's opening put it this way:

"You can tell there is like an aura, like they're tapping into something. And that's like, you get goosebumps, like the whole crew as well. You don't have to be believing into this or that. Just watching this child playing this incredible piece of music. You could feel and see the energy going through them."

— Speaker in the episode's opening, Take Back Your Mind [0:00]

What makes this passage useful is the caveat built into it. The observation does not require the viewer to adopt a belief system first. It asks the viewer to notice what is in front of them. That is a demanding kind of openness, and it is the same stance Cory brings to the laboratory: observe, measure, and let the data speak even when the result is inconvenient for the framework you began with.

What should a curious reader take from this?

The conversation can be read as a mystical story, and Cory's five-year-old experience certainly has that texture. But the more useful thread is methodological. She moved from private experience to self-study, from self-study to healing methods, and from healing methods to controlled experiments with scientists and with participants who are blind. Each step asked a harder question of the previous one. The step into the lab was not a retreat from spiritual experience. It was an attempt to make that experience something other people could test for themselves.

Where to go from here

If this conversation has you asking how consciousness and perception might be studied rather than merely believed, start with the full episode of Take Back Your Mind, where Michael Beckwith and Caroline Cory go deeper into the healing experiences and the film's methods than this excerpt allows. Then look at Superhuman 2: The Rebirth itself, since the blind-participant experiments are where the claims become concrete and where you can judge the evidence for yourself. For the earlier work, Superhuman: The Invisible Made Visible and A Tear in the Sky provide the background to Cory's approach. Read each claim with the same question she applied to her own experiences: what would you need to see to be convinced, and how would you check?

[0:00] Wait a minute. Something real is

[0:03] happening. We need to tell the rest of

[0:06] the world that this is real. To believe

[0:09] in yourself, to believe in your

[0:10] potential. And so I thought, how would I

[0:13] do that? I need scientists. I need to

[0:17] kind of bring that to the lab and do

[0:21] experiments

[0:22] and verify, validate, get data on the

[0:27] fact that your consciousness is in fact

[0:30] affecting the physical world. So what I

[0:33] wanted to do in this movie is to show

[0:36] that this potential comes in different

[0:40] forms. And also when we were witnessing

[0:44] especially the young the kids when we

[0:46] were witnessing them performing you can

[0:50] tell

[0:51] >> you can tell there is like an aura like

[0:53] they're tapping into something

[0:56] >> and

[0:57] >> this is amazing. And that's like you,

[1:00] you know, you get goosebumps like the

[1:01] whole crew as well. You don't have to be

[1:03] believing into this or that. Just

[1:05] watching this child playing this

[1:09] incredible piece of music. You could

[1:12] feel and see the energy going through

[1:14] them. You can't help yourself but to

[1:17] think they're tapping into something.

[1:19] >> Peace and rich's blessings. I am Michael

[1:21] Bbeck with the host of Take Back Your

[1:23] Mind.

[1:26] Feel

[1:27] it. It feel

[1:35] it. It feel it.

[1:48] There's a broadcast going on. There's a

[1:51] broadcast going on.

[1:59] Peace and blessings everybody and

[2:01] welcome to this magnificent podcast.

[2:04] It's called Take Back Your Mind and I am

[2:06] your host Michael B. Beckwith and I have

[2:09] the privilege and the honor of having

[2:11] wonderful conversations with individuals

[2:13] pretty much on a weekly basis.

[2:15] Individuals who have made a tremendous

[2:18] opening in their own life to be a

[2:20] beneficial presence on the planet. have

[2:22] touched so many people on the planet

[2:24] with their extraordinariness. So today I

[2:28] am with get I'm going let you guess cuz

[2:31] you guys are intuitive. You're right.

[2:33] Carolyn Corey.

[2:35] Let me tell you just a little bit about

[2:37] her. And uh she she's glowing. For those

[2:40] of you who are sensitive, that are

[2:43] intuitive

[2:44] that can kind of see a little

[2:46] differently. You already can pick up the

[2:49] vibration that she puts out. You can

[2:50] already pick up the strong oric field.

[2:52] You can pick up her sincerity of an

[2:55] individual who's been on the path for

[2:56] years and has had many spiritual

[2:58] insights. She's an award-winning

[3:00] filmmaker, an author, speaker,

[3:03] consciousness researcher

[3:06] whose work explores the extraordinary

[3:08] potential of the human mind and the

[3:10] nature of reality. Now, all of you know

[3:12] that I love the word potential. I don't

[3:14] like it when people don't activate their

[3:16] potential. And so, we're always speaking

[3:18] about that at some level. Her lifelong

[3:20] interest in consciousness and the

[3:21] mechanics of the universe led her to

[3:24] develop meditation methodologies and

[3:27] collaborate on research with scientists

[3:30] affiliated with institutions including

[3:32] Harvard Medical School, the Harvard

[3:35] Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the

[3:39] Institute of Noetic Sciences and

[3:41] Stanford University. So, she's one of

[3:44] the people taking woo woo to wow the

[3:47] world of wonder. In 2010, she founded

[3:50] the Omnium Media, creating films that

[3:54] bring scientific investigation to

[3:57] subjects often considered outside

[3:59] conventional inquiry. Her films include

[4:02] Superhuman: The Invisible Made Visible

[4:06] and A Tear in the Sky, which together

[4:09] have received nine International Film

[4:11] Festival Awards and two nominations. Her

[4:15] latest film, we're going to talk a

[4:16] little bit about that, Superhum 2, The

[4:20] Rebirth, explores consciousness and

[4:23] untapped human potential through which

[4:24] documented experiments, documented

[4:27] experiments and scientific inquiry at

[4:31] which I am pleased to be a part of that

[4:33] particular film. If you're in the LA

[4:35] area or LA adjacent, you can come to the

[4:38] Superhuman 2 film premiere right here at

[4:42] Agape, right here at the Sabomb Theater

[4:45] this Sunday, October 4th. You got that?

[4:49] Carolyn has graciously offered a limited

[4:52] number of free tickets for Agape

[4:54] Congregants. And there are many other

[4:57] ticket options as well. So, we'll get to

[5:00] more on that later, but I just wanted to

[5:01] put that out there right from the

[5:02] beginning. October 4th, the film that

[5:04] we're going to be talking about is going

[5:06] to be presented right here in our

[5:09] sanctuary. Now, Carolyn, we're going to

[5:12] talk about unlocking your superhuman

[5:15] potential. Now, your work obviously has

[5:17] been centered around consciousness and

[5:19] human potential for years. What first

[5:21] awakened you to walk this particular

[5:25] path? What was the fascination? How did

[5:26] Carolyn become Carolyn?

[5:30] Well, first of all, thank you so much

[5:32] for having me. It's awesome to be in

[5:34] your energy and uh all of this

[5:37] conversation. So, thank you. Well, uh

[5:39] you know, for me, it just started when I

[5:42] was younger. I would have experiences,

[5:45] spontaneous experiences

[5:48] >> that uh allowed me to experience the

[5:52] world beyond, so to speak. I would I

[5:54] would sense energy. I would see beings.

[5:57] I would hear things. Well, of course, I

[6:00] had to rule out first that I wasn't

[6:03] crazy.

[6:04] >> Yes.

[6:04] >> Once I've done that, I realized that at

[6:08] a very young age that I was tapping into

[6:10] energy and consciousness, larger

[6:13] consciousness. So, so from the get-go, I

[6:17] knew there was something more.

[6:19] >> How old were you when this began to

[6:21] happen for you?

[6:22] >> Five. Okay.

[6:24] >> Yeah. The first experience was at five.

[6:28] Um I was just there and I saw these this

[6:32] light that filled the room

[6:35] >> and I realized I was in the presence of

[6:38] being divine beings and uh we were

[6:42] merged in this magnificent energy and uh

[6:46] I could hear, see, sense

[6:50] everything.

[6:51] Um and so so at the time I didn't think

[6:55] anything of it. You know, you're five

[6:56] years old, you don't know.

[6:58] >> It was later that I realized it was

[7:01] something very extraordinary because

[7:04] >> in that experience I was able to kind of

[7:08] recognize that signature, that frequency

[7:13] that I call source now.

[7:15] >> Yes. Yes. Yes.

[7:16] >> So that's why it helped me go back to

[7:20] that place. no matter what I'm doing.

[7:22] Um, and it helped me kind of discern,

[7:27] you know, what I was, you know,

[7:30] expanding to, what I was working on. Um,

[7:34] going back to that frequency of pure

[7:38] pure love. M

[7:41] >> so yeah

[7:42] >> I I understand what what what was the

[7:45] impetus for you to move into actually

[7:48] having scientific research around this

[7:50] scientific discovery because most people

[7:53] that have those type of experiences

[7:55] learn to live with it or they become a

[7:58] teacher or healer uh and you've done all

[8:01] of that yourself but you went into the

[8:03] scientific realm as well. What what what

[8:05] made you what prompted you to do that?

[8:06] >> Yeah. So what happened was I got into

[8:09] the field of psychology first and I

[8:12] realized that was very limited. We were

[8:14] talking about consciousness.

[8:15] >> Yes.

[8:16] >> And so so then I spent uh maybe 15 20

[8:20] years uh doing a lot of research. Most

[8:23] of the research was on myself. It was

[8:26] trying to kind of figure out like how I

[8:29] was doing things. How is it possible

[8:31] that you're just sitting here minding

[8:33] your own business and then all of a

[8:35] sudden you're merged with this divine

[8:39] intelligence and you're downloading

[8:41] information like what's happening here?

[8:43] And so so I it took me a long time but

[8:47] eventually I understood frequencies and

[8:51] and the mechanics of what was happening

[8:54] and I developed methodologies

[8:57] methodologies to expand consciousness

[8:59] but also for selfhealing self-repair and

[9:04] things like that and we would get

[9:06] incredible results. I mean, you know,

[9:09] >> people would spontaneously heal certain

[9:11] things. We would reverse conditions.

[9:14] People had traumas, phobias for years

[9:17] and years and years that would just kind

[9:20] of dissolve instantaneously. Addictions.

[9:23] I have people

[9:24] >> who uh wanted to get rid of alcohol

[9:28] addiction and they even did my online

[9:30] class, not even live, and then they

[9:33] would get rid of addiction. So after a

[9:36] while, you know, if you're a believer,

[9:38] that's wonderful. But it was it was more

[9:41] than that. It was wait a minute,

[9:42] something real is happening. We need to

[9:46] tell the rest of the world that this is

[9:49] real to believe in yourself, to believe

[9:51] in your potential. And so I thought, how

[9:54] would I do that? I need scientists. I

[9:57] need to kind of bring that to the lab

[10:01] and do experiments

[10:03] and verify, validate, get data on the

[10:08] fact that your consciousness is in fact

[10:11] affecting the physical world. So I

[10:14] started working one scientist after

[10:15] another and and having incredible

[10:17] results and I thought that's the way

[10:21] hopefully to reach the mainstream to

[10:24] show them that we're not crazy. It's not

[10:27] woo woo stuff, right? Saying that this

[10:30] is real science. We don't understand all

[10:34] of it yet,

[10:36] >> but there is data. There is verifiable

[10:39] science and this is why I think you know

[10:42] for me I took that path.

[10:43] >> Right. with with two things. One, the

[10:46] the spontaneous

[10:48] healings that you you were a part of.

[10:50] What was the technology bringing forth

[10:52] some of these magnificent

[10:54] transformations and two your first movie

[10:57] you were exploring these abilities? Your

[10:59] second movie has the word rebirth in it.

[11:02] So, what what's going to be the

[11:04] difference between the two and give us a

[11:06] little bit of some of the methodologies

[11:08] that took place when you saw these

[11:10] wonderful healings that you did record.

[11:12] >> Yes. So, so basically my whole system,

[11:16] my whole methodology is based on the

[11:19] idea that you can reprogram your own

[11:22] cells, your own DNA because even you

[11:26] know Bruce Lipton talks about you know

[11:28] epigenetics how you can talk to your

[11:30] cell. I have other scientists,

[11:32] physicists actually who demonstrated

[11:35] that your voice, the frequency of the

[11:39] voice is the most familiar to your own

[11:44] cells because when you have thoughts,

[11:46] >> people don't speak it out loud, but it's

[11:48] still a frequency.

[11:50] >> So, been thinking your whole life and

[11:53] your thoughts that are actually getting

[11:56] you sick can actually heal you. So the

[12:00] methodology is based on reprogramming

[12:03] your cells, your cellular memory.

[12:06] >> And so I teach people how first how to

[12:09] identify the root cause of the problem.

[12:12] So it's a whole, you know, kind of

[12:14] >> right.

[12:15] >> Yeah. So you once you nail down first

[12:17] you have to identify the problem because

[12:19] if you just otherwise you're just

[12:21] treating the symptom,

[12:23] >> right? So, so the methodology helps you

[12:25] go back to that place and as soon as you

[12:27] nail that then all you have to do is

[12:30] reprogramming get it out through words.

[12:34] >> I mean techniques too through light and

[12:37] sound and geometry I do but even through

[12:40] words anybody can do that.

[12:42] >> Give me an example of finding a root

[12:44] cause somebody that you've worked with.

[12:47] what was their root cause and then what

[12:49] did they have to say to themselves to

[12:52] reprogram the cells in their body.

[12:55] >> So I mean one of the examples actually

[12:57] actually she was my assistant at the

[12:59] time that was a long time ago

[13:01] >> and she had a big cyst on her ovary.

[13:06] >> She was about to go get it, you know,

[13:08] snap, you know, snipped. So like

[13:13] >> Yeah. removed. Sorry. So, so, so she she

[13:15] so the doctor had the you know X-ray or

[13:18] whatever ultrasound and everything they

[13:20] could see it it was there and um and

[13:23] then so in the class we were practicing

[13:27] uh basically self-healing it was one of

[13:29] the the the methods and so she

[13:32] volunteered because we always you know

[13:34] ask for volunteers and at the same time

[13:37] other people also can benefit because

[13:39] she could be a conduit but anyway she

[13:41] volunteered and Then I remember we her

[13:46] when we focused on her ovary.

[13:49] >> Mhm.

[13:50] >> I saw that it had to do with her um

[13:54] inability to have a child in the past.

[13:58] >> Holding on.

[13:59] >> So this was this is a part of your

[14:00] intuitive gift.

[14:02] >> Yes. Exactly.

[14:04] I teach people also to try to but but

[14:07] it's always harder when you're working

[14:09] on yourself, you know, to go deeper and

[14:11] find it and and discern because you're

[14:13] like, well, what if it's right? What if

[14:15] so, you know, it's it's a little bit of

[14:17] practice. It takes practice,

[14:19] >> right?

[14:19] >> But um so I saw that that was the root

[14:22] cause that it was guilt energy came from

[14:26] a previous experience of not having a

[14:29] child. And so the so then we took out

[14:33] the guild and there was a few things

[14:35] something with her mother you know

[14:36] because it's layers it's never one thing

[14:39] as you know

[14:40] >> and so so we keep we so we focus on the

[14:44] ovary and then we basically just imagine

[14:47] that we are taking out

[14:49] >> all of this information because it's

[14:52] information.

[14:53] >> The information the frequency of the

[14:55] guilt is adding information to the cell.

[14:58] it's making it go this way instead of

[15:00] that, you know. And so we take out

[15:03] consciously every single layer that we

[15:06] see and sense. And then you get a sense

[15:09] that you're clear. You feel it.

[15:12] >> Mhm.

[15:12] >> And then from there, once you are clear,

[15:16] then you put in the proper energy, which

[15:19] is you ask the cell to self-repair as it

[15:22] knows how. Mhm.

[15:24] >> You do that before you take out the

[15:27] stuff, you still have the stuff there,

[15:30] >> but you haven't got the root cause, the

[15:31] root thought.

[15:32] >> Yeah.

[15:33] >> Exactly. So then we put in then we

[15:35] reprogram the cell. Okay, now you're

[15:37] clear.

[15:38] >> Now you can self-repair as you know how

[15:41] and you know just by speaking to it and

[15:44] then we bring light and energy and that

[15:46] source frequency that I mentioned. And

[15:49] then the next day, I told her, "Please

[15:54] get another X-ray." It wasn't an X-ray.

[15:55] It was like an ultrasound. Well, you

[15:57] know, one of those.

[15:58] >> Right. Right.

[15:59] >> MRI. I said, "Please get another one

[16:02] before." And it was gone.

[16:04] >> Uh-huh. Yeah. So, she cleared out, gave

[16:07] it permission to self-repair, and then

[16:09] it dissolved.

[16:11] >> Yeah.

[16:11] >> Because the cyst itself was just a

[16:13] manifestation of energy.

[16:16] >> Exactly. The energy is the frequencies

[16:19] of your own thoughts, of your own words,

[16:22] your own belief system. Because you

[16:24] don't you don't come in talking to

[16:26] yourself saying, "I'm a horrible person.

[16:30] I'm a failure." You don't come you

[16:31] >> lack of selfworth. I'm not good enough.

[16:33] All of those things. Yeah.

[16:35] >> Baby, you come in, all you're saying is

[16:37] that I am love. Give me love. Give me

[16:39] love. Give me nourishment. That's all

[16:41] you're saying.

[16:42] >> Right. Right.

[16:43] >> Which is selflove.

[16:45] >> Yes. You know, it's later that you start

[16:48] to change the story.

[16:50] >> Absolutely. It's so very important

[16:51] because people are imprinted by this

[16:53] world as soon as they arrive here.

[16:55] >> They get they get imprinted by

[16:57] environment, society, social

[16:59] consciousness, parental fantasies. And

[17:02] so we obviously we develop a personality

[17:05] around that. And but the presence is

[17:07] more powerful than the personality. So

[17:10] you're you're working to help people um

[17:12] go under the layers of all the imprints

[17:15] and some of them are more potent than

[17:16] others so that disease can arise and

[17:19] then clearing self-rep. Clearing

[17:22] self-rep. Absolutely. Absolutely. Now in

[17:27] in you showed a lot of abilities in in

[17:29] in the first movie. This one is rebirth.

[17:32] It's your second movie. What what's you

[17:35] take us further? What's the difference

[17:36] in the two movies? And again, what

[17:39] pulled you to do this second movie?

[17:41] >> Yeah. So, so you're talking about

[17:43] Superhum, the Invisible Made Visible

[17:47] five years ago. I did that ago. And

[17:50] basically in that one, this is actually

[17:52] the first movie. I mean, I did other

[17:55] movies before, but that one was the

[17:58] first time where we, as I said,

[18:00] demonstrated on camera those scientific

[18:03] experiments. Mhm.

[18:05] >> Example, we had uh water and we were

[18:09] trying with the intention change the pH

[18:12] of the water,

[18:13] >> right?

[18:14] >> We experimented with telekinesis, you

[18:16] know, like um close by, then at a

[18:19] distance, then in a Faraday cage trying

[18:22] to move an object and so on so forth. We

[18:24] experimented with um remote viewing. So,

[18:29] so that film was so successful.

[18:33] What made it even more which I didn't

[18:36] expect I mean I just did it because I

[18:39] thought I should do it but

[18:40] >> but one of the phenomenon that we

[18:42] investigated was this blindfold. So kids

[18:47] were blindfolded and running around and

[18:50] reading books and doing stuff.

[18:52] >> So when I first saw it I was like come

[18:54] on what's happening here you know I'm a

[18:56] skeptic actually you know it's

[18:59] >> a healthy skeptic.

[19:01] >> Yeah. Mhm.

[19:02] >> So I said like, "Okay, so what's

[19:03] happening here?" So I went and I visited

[19:06] the first kids to see, are they

[19:10] cheating? Like what's happening? So and

[19:12] um and it was real because, you know, I

[19:14] would show them something they hadn't

[19:17] seen before. They could see it

[19:19] >> and then the way they were navigating,

[19:21] the way they were playing sports and

[19:23] stuff. And of course, I checked them

[19:25] out, you know. So then I checked other

[19:27] schools and it was the same thing. I

[19:30] mean people were not cheating. So we did

[19:34] an experiment with scientists. We put uh

[19:38] you know like a light inside the mask.

[19:41] We measured their brain waves, their

[19:43] eye, their pupils and stuff. There was

[19:46] no light in the mask and yet they were

[19:48] seeing. So even though there's some

[19:50] people who cheat, I have to say

[19:53] >> it's very confusing out there. But the

[19:56] people that I have investigated and the

[19:59] people that I brought in the film and

[20:01] the scientists that I worked with

[20:04] this was done categorically nobody was

[20:07] cheat it was like real

[20:09] >> right

[20:10] >> then

[20:12] that thing five years ago 2020 came out

[20:15] 2020 so I started working on it even you

[20:18] know before

[20:19] >> right right

[20:20] >> seven years ago or something and that

[20:24] since that time. I'm the one that made

[20:26] this whole thing go viral. This whole

[20:28] blindfold thing. Now it's everywhere.

[20:30] Everybody's like, "Hey, I can do this or

[20:33] whatever." It every time we would post

[20:36] or talk about it, it would go viral. So,

[20:39] there was something about this being

[20:41] able to see blindfolded that kind of

[20:44] lingered, you know, and so I did a

[20:48] couple of other movies and recently I

[20:50] said, "You know what? Let me take up

[20:53] that thing again. This whole blindfold

[20:56] thing again, but this time instead of

[20:59] working with sighted individuals that

[21:02] can see with

[21:03] >> M.

[21:05] >> How about blind people? Now, nobody can

[21:08] say they're cheating, right?

[21:10] >> Because they're blind.

[21:12] >> They're blind. I mean, here's the

[21:14] doctor's report. You can, you know, and

[21:18] that was extraordinary. So actually we

[21:21] took three different guys.

[21:23] >> One was uh born blind.

[21:27] >> One actually had his eyeballs removed

[21:30] >> because he had a cancer of the retina

[21:34] >> and then the third one uh became blind

[21:37] 10 years ago.

[21:38] >> Mhm.

[21:39] >> Regardless they were all went to the

[21:42] doctor, examined and they couldn't see.

[21:47] It blows my mind sometimes like the

[21:49] skeptics, you know, they look at the guy

[21:51] without even eyeballs and like is he

[21:53] cheating? It's like come on,

[21:55] >> he's cheating with no eyes.

[21:57] >> Are you kidding me? It's like stop. So

[22:00] anyway, um yeah. So, so, so then we gave

[22:04] them a protocol and after three days

[22:08] they started to see. So the protocol is,

[22:11] you know, like um we give them cards

[22:14] with letters and shapes and colors and

[22:18] things like that

[22:19] >> and they started to see.

[22:23] >> I grew up being able to see perfectly

[22:25] fine. In my third year of college, I

[22:27] went from driving going to college to

[22:30] being legally blind.

[22:31] >> He should not be able to see objects,

[22:33] surfaces, anything shown in front of

[22:35] him. So now we're going to do letters.

[22:38] >> Yeah. L

[22:40] P W square circle square triangle square

[22:45] star

[22:46] >> 10 out of 10.

[22:47] >> Can he see anything?

[22:48] >> Impossible. I've been practicing for the

[22:50] last 40 years.

[22:53] >> They're blind.

[22:54] >> Yeah.

[22:55] >> And then you hold up cards with letters

[22:56] and you ask them to see it.

[22:59] >> Yes. Yeah.

[22:59] >> Okay. So something happens in

[23:01] consciousness.

[23:02] >> Exactly.

[23:03] >> They begin to perceive what they

[23:05] couldn't see before.

[23:07] >> Exactly. So, we're still trying to

[23:08] figure out exactly like the whole thing

[23:11] because it's crazy.

[23:12] >> Yeah.

[23:13] >> But, um, but we teach them certain

[23:15] techniques. So, for example, like let's

[23:16] say we show them a shape like a

[23:18] triangle, right?

[23:19] >> Uh,

[23:20] >> we teach them and it's like a black

[23:22] triangle on white paper because first

[23:25] start easy, you know, like create a

[23:27] contrast even though they can't see

[23:28] anything, but they can see if it's dark

[23:31] or light. That's all they can do. Mhm.

[23:33] >> And so we teach them like to to follow

[23:37] an like if they see an edge or if they

[23:39] see a curve

[23:41] >> or they see, you know what I mean? And

[23:43] so and eventually they they recognize

[23:46] the shape because like simple things

[23:48] like that

[23:50] >> sometimes. Yeah. And so so um so then we

[23:54] go from shapes, we go to letters because

[23:56] letters are a shape as well.

[23:59] >> And so then they start to recognize the

[24:01] letters. Then we put two letters and

[24:03] three letters then it becomes a word you

[24:05] know and so so it's kind of like that

[24:07] but what was amazing

[24:08] >> so it's it's incremental

[24:10] >> yes

[24:10] >> incremental expanding awareness

[24:13] >> yes yes

[24:14] >> and so but they weren't seeing all the

[24:16] same I mean like some of them were

[24:18] better and some of them to different

[24:20] degrees as well

[24:22] >> and so like for example the the blind

[24:25] guy who's born blind like you have to

[24:28] teach him what color is

[24:30] >> ah Wow.

[24:31] >> You know what I mean? Like it's things

[24:32] we don't think about.

[24:34] >> Right. Right. Right.

[24:35] >> So when we did this basic training and

[24:37] we saw, wait, there's something there.

[24:40] We then I got together with a scientist

[24:44] and I said, "We need to study this like

[24:46] seriously." And we created a a whole

[24:49] protocol

[24:51] where they had to see certain shapes and

[24:54] colors and and words and things like

[24:56] that over and over and over and over so

[24:59] that we could get data. You know, in

[25:02] science you have to do the same thing

[25:03] over and over. It has to be repeatable.

[25:07] >> And so we gave them a whole protocol to

[25:10] follow for three months.

[25:12] And then at the end of the three months,

[25:14] I flew them to Los Angeles, which is,

[25:17] you know, where we were filming.

[25:19] >> And one of the guys,

[25:23] I mean, he was getting every answer

[25:27] correct over and over, nonstop, back

[25:31] toback. He pretty much got 100%

[25:34] accuracy.

[25:36] >> So scientifically, like, you know, 25%

[25:39] is considered random. It mean like

[25:42] chance

[25:43] >> got 100%

[25:45] >> wow

[25:46] >> the guy was seeing

[25:47] >> right

[25:48] >> but then I mean we tricked him I mean

[25:50] tricked him like we give him stuff he

[25:52] wasn't expecting

[25:54] >> we made the letters super small

[25:57] >> we covered one eye we we split the

[26:00] screen I mean we did all kinds of stuff

[26:02] and the guy

[26:04] >> kept seeing how does that change his

[26:05] life can he like walk down the street

[26:07] and see things

[26:08] >> yeah so now he's starting to start so

[26:10] now He's so he's he you'll see it in a

[26:13] movie,

[26:13] >> right?

[26:14] >> He started out looking like this like he

[26:16] had to like you know

[26:18] >> then and then people will see it in the

[26:20] movie. He could see at arms length the

[26:23] computer screen. First it was massive

[26:25] letters and it was tiny letters

[26:28] >> and now he could and then I showed him

[26:30] stuff. I didn't show everything in the

[26:31] movie because I mean you know

[26:33] >> it's a lot.

[26:34] >> Then I number three.

[26:36] >> Yeah, exactly. It's it's a lot. Um then

[26:39] I showed him I remember I had a bottled

[26:41] water and I told him like what is this

[26:44] and he would describe it and I was

[26:46] standing you know a few feet away.

[26:49] >> So now he can see things like in his

[26:51] house which he couldn't see before but

[26:54] it would be like a flash you know

[26:57] >> considering that he couldn't see

[27:00] anything before.

[27:01] >> Right. So

[27:03] >> we think he's like gradually like he he

[27:07] something is is happening,

[27:09] >> right? One person doesn't have eyes. One

[27:12] person is born blind. One person became

[27:14] blind. They're not really seeing with

[27:15] their eyes. They're like they're see

[27:17] they're seeing with consciousness.

[27:20] >> Exactly. That's why so try to say that

[27:22] to to a scient like to other scientists.

[27:25] >> Yeah. You can't Yeah. No. Because I

[27:27] often say um you don't you don't see

[27:30] because you have eyes. You have eyes

[27:31] because you see and you don't hear

[27:33] because you have ears. You have ears

[27:35] because you hear.

[27:36] >> So that consciousness sees and hears.

[27:39] And it produced the eyes and the ears to

[27:41] navigate in this dimension. And so it

[27:44] looks like what you're doing is bringing

[27:46] people back to the source, the beginning

[27:48] consciousness. So they're actually

[27:50] seeing with consciousness and not

[27:52] relying just on the the retina,

[27:55] particularly if you don't have one.

[27:58] >> Exactly. Exactly. I love what you said

[28:00] though. That's so cool. Yeah.

[28:02] >> So that in the movie again to prove you

[28:05] know we took the especially the one we

[28:08] took all of them but the one of them who

[28:11] who saw really well

[28:12] >> right

[28:14] >> to the top you know neurothalmologist

[28:17] like

[28:18] >> Peter Sinai you know Beverly Hills like

[28:21] the top in the world whatever who

[28:24] happens to be as an expert in his

[28:26] particular condition. Mh.

[28:29] >> So he examines him and you know like all

[28:32] the machines and the devices and all

[28:34] that stuff. He comes out and then I

[28:36] interviewed him. I said so doctor what

[28:39] you know can he see something? He said

[28:41] nothing.

[28:43] I said but he was reading

[28:46] >> right right

[28:47] >> cannot see anything. He can maybe see if

[28:49] there's light in the room or dark but

[28:51] you could do anything in front of his

[28:53] face. He won't be able to see anything.

[28:55] Uh-huh.

[28:57] >> Well, uh, is it possible that he could

[28:59] get a flash? Is it He said his optic

[29:02] nerve is atrophied. It's dead.

[29:05] >> Right. Right. Right.

[29:06] >> Possible that with his int what am I

[29:08] going to tell a doctor with his

[29:10] consciousness? And I said, is it

[29:12] possible he could be activating

[29:15] the optic nerve even temporarily? Nope.

[29:18] I've been doing this for 40 years.

[29:22] >> What was his explanation?

[29:24] He he said it's it's he said that's a

[29:26] stretch for me. He said it's impossible.

[29:29] >> So even though he saw evidence

[29:32] >> he didn't see he didn't see I didn't

[29:34] show him the evidence.

[29:35] >> Oh you didn't show him.

[29:36] >> I just told him because we had shot it

[29:39] like literally the day before.

[29:41] >> Uhhuh.

[29:41] >> I told him I said but we gave him words

[29:44] to read and he could read them.

[29:47] >> And he's saying no no no it's impossible

[29:49] >> possible. He said I just examined him. I

[29:53] said, "Is this condition can it

[29:55] improve?" He won't improve. He's at the

[29:57] worst level possible,

[30:00] >> right? So, he doesn't know yet this

[30:03] particular doc. You used him as a

[30:06] backdrop to show how bad the case was.

[30:09] >> But you you didn't but you didn't tell

[30:11] you you didn't show the doctor the

[30:13] results.

[30:14] >> Are you gonna Are you gonna show Huh?

[30:17] >> I told him the results.

[30:18] >> Are you gonna show him the movie? Are

[30:19] you gonna send the movie to him? I can.

[30:22] >> Is he Does he know he's in the movie?

[30:25] >> Yeah, of course. He had

[30:27] >> So, you need to send him the movie.

[30:30] >> Yeah, I know. I know. But I don't know

[30:33] what he's gonna like I hope

[30:35] >> it does. It doesn't matter. But the fact

[30:36] that you might be planting a seed in in

[30:39] somebody that's been trained in a

[30:42] particular focus of medicine, you know,

[30:47] you might you might plant a seed that

[30:49] things are possible that he may carry

[30:52] that frequency for other people.

[30:54] >> Can you get angry with me?

[30:57] >> They do. But that's you're you're

[30:58] speaking now you're speaking of another

[31:00] level of consciousness because people

[31:02] will argue for their beliefs even with

[31:05] faiths with evidence that their belief

[31:07] isn't true.

[31:08] >> Wow.

[31:08] >> They'll argue for it. I mean

[31:12] this is funny.

[31:15] >> Excuse me.

[31:15] >> I know because you you're doing you're

[31:17] doing this film for us. You're not this

[31:19] you're not doing this film for a skeptic

[31:21] that's in the medical field that says

[31:22] this is impossible. But I was sending

[31:24] the film anyway.

[31:26] >> I would. In fact, I should invite him to

[31:28] the premiere.

[31:28] >> You should invite him to the premiere.

[31:30] >> I hope he doesn't get mad like he

[31:32] doesn't

[31:32] >> Well, listen. You're not going to out

[31:34] him.

[31:35] >> You're just just going to introduce him

[31:36] to the to the to the film.

[31:38] >> The craziest thing on top of it,

[31:42] >> the other guy who didn't have eyes,

[31:45] >> I mean, I don't want to like spoil or

[31:47] like kind of

[31:49] >> I think I think you're bringing people

[31:50] to the film.

[31:51] >> Yeah, I really think of it. So, he had

[31:54] another issue. He couldn't see. He for

[31:58] some reason I mean I'm gonna summarize

[31:59] this. He couldn't see well in front of

[32:03] him but behind him

[32:06] >> behind him. Yeah. He was seeing with

[32:08] consciousness.

[32:09] >> We were like testing him. I was like

[32:11] showing him like the stuff in front of

[32:13] him and he was like yeah he was getting

[32:16] one right, three wrong, one you know

[32:19] like it was like whatever. And then for

[32:22] some reason I said, "Sean, relax. Use

[32:26] your body." Because he he has a

[32:28] different way of feeling things. He uses

[32:31] locationation and stuff like that.

[32:33] >> I stood behind him. I would put a paper

[32:36] behind him. What am I doing? He would

[32:39] trace the shape of the the the shape

[32:43] that I had on a paper behind him. M

[32:46] >> when I would put the piece of paper

[32:48] behind me and I'm standing on him

[32:51] >> and he could see it. He nailed it 100%

[32:55] when it was behind him.

[32:59] >> Yeah.

[32:59] >> That's like that was a whole different

[33:02] phenomenon where like what is happening

[33:04] here?

[33:05] >> Yeah. He wasn't forcing his attention to

[33:08] see through the eyeball.

[33:10] >> He became aware unconsciously that he

[33:13] was a consciousness itself.

[33:16] You know, I have a phenomenon used that

[33:18] used to happen all the time years ago

[33:20] when I was speaking. I used to always

[33:21] speak with my eyes closed and then there

[33:24] was a a moment in which I didn't know my

[33:27] eyes were closed but I would see the

[33:28] congregation you know I just suddenly I

[33:31] could just see them and then people

[33:33] would say to me why do you you know

[33:36] you're why would you why do you always

[33:37] speak with your eyes closed? I said well

[33:38] my eyes weren't closed at the end. He

[33:40] said, "Yes, they were. They were closed

[33:41] at the end." And then I be I began to be

[33:42] aware that I was seeing the congregation

[33:45] with my eyes closed because it was

[33:46] easier for me in those days to just get

[33:48] the information that was coming through

[33:51] with my eyes closed rather than being

[33:52] distracted by the people. And then I I

[33:55] actually trained myself to keep my eyes

[33:58] open while I spoke. That was a trained

[34:00] thing. So now I can speak with my eyes

[34:03] open and talk to people and still hear

[34:06] the information that needs to come

[34:07] through with with ease.

[34:09] But after talking to you now, I think I

[34:13] want to intermittently speak with my

[34:15] eyes closed again just to just to have

[34:17] that phenomena occur. But yeah, this

[34:20] this is fantastic. Now

[34:22] >> fascinating. And then also of course we

[34:24] did like uh EEG stuff. We saw what was

[34:27] doing and we had special cameras who did

[34:30] we saw faton. I mean we did some you

[34:33] know like sciency stuff to get a sense

[34:36] of what was happening like how are they

[34:39] doing it. So we have some theories and

[34:41] we're writing a science paper um but you

[34:45] know it's it's on film people will see

[34:48] it's pretty extraordinary.

[34:50] >> That's fantastic. Yes. They're super

[34:52] human.

[34:54] >> Exactly. That's right. Now was there

[34:56] anything in the filming of this movie or

[34:58] the previous movie in which shocked you

[35:02] you know were there some things that you

[35:03] were shocked by?

[35:06] Well,

[35:07] >> since we are on the blind subject, um,

[35:11] it was first of all, just so you know,

[35:13] Michael, like when I start a movie, I

[35:16] have a sense of what I want to do, but I

[35:19] don't know. I mean, like I just trust

[35:23] >> that something extraordinary is going to

[35:26] happen.

[35:27] >> But when it does happen, I have to tell

[35:30] you, it's pretty incredible. I remember

[35:33] the first time when we brought them

[35:37] together to the training and you know,

[35:41] don't forget we're filming, so we have

[35:44] like seven or eight cameras because we

[35:46] want to film all around for so people to

[35:48] see that we're not cheating or whatever.

[35:50] >> Right. Right.

[35:51] >> Um and and you have equipment, you have

[35:55] crew members, you know, watching this.

[35:58] Now, these guys, they're not necessarily

[36:01] into consciousness. So, you know, like

[36:03] >> right right

[36:04] >> it would be like right away, okay, it's

[36:05] consciousness, but there

[36:07] >> so I remember when the Justin especially

[36:12] when he would get the answer correctly

[36:14] the very first time it was such it was

[36:18] like

[36:19] this shock like oh my god we're we're we

[36:24] did it like we are I don't know how to

[36:26] say it. It's almost like you have this

[36:28] idea in your mind. You believe this is

[36:30] real and then you have this phenomenon

[36:33] actually happening and it's not just you

[36:36] and you and your own mind. it's this

[36:38] other person

[36:40] and the crew could not believe that they

[36:43] were like what is happening here you

[36:45] know it's like so I remember this this

[36:49] amazing moment where I saw the reaction

[36:53] of the people

[36:56] >> and and it just gave me this shock you

[37:00] know this kind of like uh moment where

[37:04] uh you know how like you're like in this

[37:06] reality and Not and it's like how all

[37:08] the timelines collapse and

[37:10] >> yes yes yes

[37:11] >> knew that was going to happen but now

[37:13] it's how you know so it was very amazing

[37:17] moment where I felt the presence of

[37:20] spirit like you know like really

[37:22] manifested through everything we were

[37:24] doing. So that was pretty extraordinary.

[37:29] >> Wow. So you're basically

[37:32] you're on the edge of showing what

[37:35] science has overlooked or cannot prove

[37:37] yet. You're taking the next step and

[37:39] absolutely bring it to the public's eye

[37:42] that this is possible with

[37:43] consciousness. These are the

[37:45] extraordinary abilities we actually

[37:47] have. This is the potential that's

[37:50] resident within each being on the planet

[37:53] and we're only narrowly using an

[37:56] infantessimal degree of it. But there's

[37:59] so much more. And so you're giving

[38:02] people permission to with your film

[38:06] to realize that they're living in a

[38:08] narrow band of reality, you know, just

[38:11] basically, you know, surviving

[38:15] just trying to get little things to be

[38:16] happy, get the house in the picket

[38:19] fence. Uh there's like a whole bastion

[38:22] of a of something within us that we're

[38:24] not even exploring,

[38:26] you know, and people are getting caught

[38:28] up in so many different things in the

[38:29] world. And the things that they're

[38:30] getting caught up in the world are

[38:32] primarily distractions

[38:34] >> from their mystical awareness.

[38:36] >> Yeah.

[38:36] >> And so you're you're allowing what was

[38:38] used to be called woowoo

[38:41] is now is what I call it wow. You know,

[38:43] it's like it's it's reality. And so

[38:45] you're stepping into the same dynamic of

[38:48] Bruce Lipton. you know, and um Gregory

[38:51] Braden, you know, good buddies of mine,

[38:55] Michael Beckwith,

[38:57] not necessarily on the scientific level,

[38:59] but from my own direct experience, you

[39:01] know, Joe Dispenser, you know, there's a

[39:04] lot of people that are walking that

[39:06] scientific rail, but showing the

[39:09] abilities of of human beings. And so, I

[39:11] think it's so necessary because people,

[39:13] they feel powerless.

[39:16] People walk around actually feeling

[39:18] power. actually feel that like a a

[39:20] president or a senator is over them or

[39:22] something or is better than them or a

[39:24] rich person is better than them and and

[39:26] they have no idea who they are. You

[39:29] begin you you're showing them

[39:30] scientifically a degree of who they are.

[39:34] This is important. Yeah. Now, when you

[39:36] when you first took this task on, did

[39:38] you think that you were going to like I

[39:41] mean, you know, you're very you're very

[39:43] well known.

[39:46] You know, I was telling my staff uh that

[39:49] we were bringing the film and I wanted

[39:50] to make sure the staff was going to be

[39:51] there and they're pretty adept, you

[39:54] know, but they all knew Carolyn Corey,

[39:56] you oh, we love her. We watch her on

[39:57] Gaya and you know, you know, you're

[40:00] bringing her here, you know. Yeah. You

[40:02] know, so you you you're doing a great

[40:04] job.

[40:06] >> I'm trying. I'm trying. You know, it's

[40:08] like sometimes I don't know about you,

[40:10] but sometimes I like I I keep going and

[40:14] I keep thinking of what else can I do

[40:16] and you know,

[40:17] >> and keep pushing forward, but uh

[40:20] sometimes I do have my moments, you

[40:22] know, I don't know about,

[40:24] >> you know, where it's like, oh my god,

[40:26] the world is still where it is. It's

[40:28] kind of discouraging, but um

[40:31] >> the world is thick. The world is the

[40:33] world as it appears to be is thick.

[40:35] >> Yeah. you know, it's it's condensed

[40:37] thoughts. I often say that a lie

[40:40] believed acts as a law until it's

[40:43] neutralized.

[40:44] >> And so you have all these lies in

[40:46] people's mind, but it's acting as the

[40:49] law of the land. And that becomes the

[40:52] the belief system of humanity, the

[40:54] skeptics. I'm not talking about the

[40:56] healthy skeptics. Healthy skeptics are

[40:58] individuals who may be skeptical, but

[40:59] they're they're curious enough to go

[41:01] past their own skepticism. A skeptic or

[41:04] a cynic is someone that can't grow

[41:07] because they will they're unwilling to

[41:08] go beyond their own skepticism to see

[41:10] the truth. But but the world as it

[41:14] appears to be is thick. But

[41:17] >> we need you and people like you to break

[41:19] have little pin pricks of breaking

[41:21] through people to say, "Oh, wow. I

[41:23] didn't know that was possible. What?

[41:26] He's seeing what that person got healed.

[41:29] What?" you know, and then then it

[41:31] becomes that that's like their

[41:32] breadcrumbs to wake up kind of. Yeah.

[41:35] >> Yeah. That's what I try to do also with

[41:37] this film, the superhuman too because um

[41:41] I also brought different

[41:44] uh types of talent so to speak. So it

[41:47] wasn't just the the blind was a huge

[41:49] huge you know EP episode. It's actually

[41:52] four episodes

[41:53] >> right

[41:54] >> blind thing was so extraordinary. It has

[41:56] its own episode. But I also had like

[41:59] other people and kids actually who were

[42:04] who did something extraordinary

[42:07] because I wanted to show that the

[42:09] potential is not always like walking on

[42:13] water or something or like you know

[42:15] you're blind you're going to see again.

[42:17] It comes in different ways. So, for

[42:20] example, I have um a a kid who played

[42:24] the violin like amazing, you know,

[42:28] actually she's going to perform uh for

[42:30] us live. Um the violin like Vivaldi, you

[42:34] know, all the top amazing stuff. And um

[42:37] I have a an

[42:39] >> How old is she? How old is she?

[42:40] >> Eight. She was eight when she

[42:42] >> And she's she was she she was a prodigy

[42:44] and was able to play this.

[42:46] >> Yeah. Yeah. I have a I had um a Nico,

[42:50] the piano player. He's uh he's autistic

[42:55] and

[42:55] >> he taught himself to play the piano at

[42:58] the age of seven

[43:00] >> using this software thing. When you see

[43:02] it, it's like, you know,

[43:05] >> it's pretty crazy. And he's not playing

[43:09] Dori. I mean, he's playing

[43:12] Maninov, Shopan, Beethovven, you know,

[43:16] crazy. And I gave him a very difficult

[43:18] piece and I said, "Do can you play

[43:21] this?" And and he just started to play

[43:25] it like he's been playing it his whole

[43:27] life and he had never and I said, "Wait,

[43:30] did you have time? Did you practice this

[43:32] before?" He said, "No, I just

[43:34] >> just played it.

[43:35] >> It's Yeah. I mean, actually so stuff."

[43:38] And then I have another kid who actually

[43:42] uh finished college at 13. No. Yeah.

[43:46] started working for SpaceX at 14.

[43:49] >> Wow.

[43:49] >> And yeah, he went to college at age

[43:52] nine. like so it's like so and I don't

[43:55] have different guys as well like who

[43:57] with different types of talent cognitive

[44:00] talent different so what I wanted to do

[44:04] in this movie is to show

[44:07] that this potential comes in different

[44:11] forms and also when we were witnessing

[44:15] especially the young the kids when we

[44:17] were witnessing them performing

[44:20] >> you could tell

[44:21] >> you could There is like an aura like

[44:24] they're tapping into something

[44:27] >> and

[44:28] >> this is amazing.

[44:29] >> And that's like you, you know, you get

[44:31] goosebumps like the whole crew as well.

[44:33] You don't have to be believing into this

[44:35] or that. Just watching this child

[44:39] playing this incredible piece of music.

[44:42] You could feel and see the energy going

[44:45] through them. You can't help yourself

[44:47] but to think they're tapping into

[44:49] something.

[44:50] >> Absolutely. You know, you mentioned this

[44:52] individual that was autistic. There was

[44:54] a time at Agape in which all of these

[44:58] kids who are autistic came to Agape at

[45:00] the same time from different parts of

[45:02] the world and they had met up in their

[45:06] psyche out of their body and they all

[45:08] decided to come to Agape. They had never

[45:09] been there before, but they had been

[45:12] seeing us in their dreams. And they all

[45:14] showed up on the same day and they made

[45:17] their parents bring them. And we were

[45:20] like, "What's what's going on here?" You

[45:21] know, and they told us, you know, we

[45:23] were called to be here to to see you and

[45:25] to bring our energy here. And they, like

[45:28] one time, one of them looked at my

[45:29] Reverend Reverend Kathleen. He says,

[45:31] "Oh, we see you in our dreams all the

[45:32] time. You pray a lot." And she's a she's

[45:34] a praying person, you know, and oh,

[45:36] Reverend Michael, we know you. and they

[45:39] just showed up and we had a beautiful

[45:42] Sunday as they were celebrating and and

[45:45] we were celebrating and and then they

[45:47] went back home but they had decided that

[45:50] they wanted to come to Agape and that

[45:52] Agape needed us and and so they're

[45:55] communicating,

[45:57] you know, uh outside of time and space

[46:01] in different cities, different states.

[46:04] So when you brought that up, that memory

[46:05] came back to me and uh I've often

[46:09] thought about it and what did it mean? I

[46:11] don't give it I don't go too deep into

[46:13] the meeting because I just believe

[46:14] that's what was supposed to happen. You

[46:16] know, they said let's go to agape today.

[46:19] It brought a big blessing because it did

[46:22] it did open up a lot of people to what's

[46:25] possible outside the limited paradigm,

[46:27] you know.

[46:28] >> Exactly. Exactly. I mean and that's what

[46:30] I was saying a little bit earlier like

[46:32] >> we could tell through them

[46:35] >> that they are tapping into this field

[46:38] this field of information this spiritual

[46:41] field I mean of course if it's we're

[46:43] talking physics it's the field of

[46:44] information the blah blah but if we're

[46:47] talking you know in our lingo we can say

[46:51] spiritual

[46:52] >> right right

[46:53] >> you know it's a larger consciousness

[46:55] that everyone is part of

[46:57] >> right

[46:58] >> so and these are just examples that tell

[47:01] us that show us that it is real.

[47:03] >> Absolutely.

[47:04] >> They're talking. They're communicating.

[47:06] >> In fact, you'll see it in the movie, the

[47:09] little girl when she's she's she's

[47:11] saying something like when I'm playing

[47:13] Bach, I I I wonder what like what what

[47:17] he wants to play through me or

[47:19] something.

[47:20] >> Ah, yes.

[47:21] >> You're all talking like what?

[47:24] >> Yes. Yes. Yes. That's beautiful. Well,

[47:26] let me let me remind people as we

[47:29] mentioned earlier, this is the world

[47:31] premiere of Superhum 2, the rebirth this

[47:36] Sunday coming up, October 4th at the

[47:37] Sabon Theater, which is our home here in

[47:40] Los Angeles. It's before the online

[47:42] premiere on October the 30th. So if you

[47:44] want to see it in person, come to the

[47:46] Sabon theater and there will be

[47:50] information in which we will be giving

[47:52] you that you know if if you're an agape

[47:55] person, you know, you can you can come

[47:57] into this premiere. Uh Carolyn is

[47:59] opening it up to give it to our people

[48:01] at at no cost. So you can do that. And

[48:03] anything else you want to say about the

[48:05] event, Carolyn, and how you um a brief

[48:09] overview of the event and and then we'll

[48:11] say goodbye until then.

[48:14] Yeah, it's it's actually an event. It's

[48:16] not just a screening. So, because we

[48:19] have these extraordinary individuals, I

[48:21] thought we should make it an event. And

[48:23] plus, you are in the movie. So, you will

[48:26] be there.

[48:28] So, we'll do and then we have a few uh

[48:31] other scientists also. So, they may say

[48:34] a word and we have performers as well. M

[48:39] >> so it's going to be an actual fun event

[48:42] with live performances and uh and also

[48:48] you know we'll do the Q&A after the

[48:50] screening as well.

[48:52] >> Outstanding.

[48:53] >> Yeah. And then um and then there's a VIP

[48:56] party at at the end and uh so there'll

[48:59] be also so celebrities hopefully. We'll

[49:02] see.

[49:04] So it's it's a whole event. You know,

[49:06] I'm I'm going to invite Stevie Wonder.

[49:09] >> Yes, you should. Can you do that?

[49:11] >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. He's a friend of mine

[49:12] and he comes to Agape. He plays for us

[49:14] sometimes. So,

[49:15] >> yeah, we would love that. Yeah. Yeah.

[49:17] Yeah. Please do. So, you see, there's

[49:19] going to be um Stevie Wonder and other

[49:23] celebrities. Uh so, the live event is

[49:27] going to be huge, so important. So, I

[49:29] hope everybody will show up.

[49:31] >> Outstanding. Carolyn, this has been a

[49:33] great opportunity for us to meet again.

[49:36] And um I'm glad I made the cut in the

[49:38] movie.

[49:40] >> You're amazing.

[49:42] >> And uh oh, you know what? Before we go,

[49:44] tell people how they can be in contact

[49:46] with you. And I in the show notes, we'll

[49:48] have all the information about the

[49:49] limited amount of tickets that the Agopa

[49:51] people will be able to receive and all

[49:53] the information. But where else can they

[49:55] find you? Where can they contact you

[49:57] >> or watch you?

[49:59] >> Yeah. if they want to learn about

[50:01] consciousness stuff, you know, they can

[50:03] go to carolinecorey.com.

[50:05] Uh, but right now for the movie, it's

[50:07] superhuman2.com

[50:10] and for the agape, we have a special

[50:12] link for them. Um, it will be in the

[50:15] description, right?

[50:17] >> Yes. Yes.

[50:18] >> Perfect. And so, and uh, yeah, and

[50:21] people can find me online, you know, I'm

[50:24] pretty much everywhere

[50:26] on social media. Beautiful.

[50:29] Hey everyone, this has been a great

[50:31] conversation with Carol and Corey. I to

[50:34] some degree it's helping you take back

[50:36] your mind from the static and the

[50:39] distractions of the world to have a at

[50:41] least a sense that this dynamic

[50:44] potential within you. And for all of us,

[50:47] we're barely scratching the surface of

[50:48] our infinite nature. So think about

[50:51] that. Meditate on that. And we'll see

[50:53] you at Agape on Sundays. But we'll see

[50:56] you this next Sunday on the 4th

[51:00] watching this world premiere. And so

[51:04] we'll see you then. Peace and blessings

[51:06] everyone.

[51:13] Peace and dynamic blessings. Many of you

[51:16] have written letters about how much you

[51:18] really appreciate the take back your

[51:19] mind podcast and the life questions. So

[51:22] appreciate those letters. Now, our

[51:25] particular program here, these episodes,

[51:28] it's powered by spiritual purpose, but

[51:30] it also has powerful sponsorship. The

[51:33] primary sponsor is Agape International

[52:09] take back your mind. The secondary

[52:10] sponsor is Neutralize.

[52:15] actually produces my particular

[52:18] supplemental line called adaptoen.

[52:23] elevate fermented mushrooms and a number

[52:27] of other products that are emerging.

[52:36] uplift your body. Remember to share all

[52:38] of this with your friends and support

[52:41] our wonderful sponsor. Have a beautiful

[52:43] day.

[52:51] Dynamic blessings to you and welcome to

[52:54] a moment that sometimes I call it the

[52:57] pause that refreshes. It is the pause in

[53:00] our day in which we are pulling our

[53:02] attention away from the distractions of

[53:05] the world of appearances. We're taking a

[53:07] pause from our own opinions and points

[53:09] of view about reality, about what we

[53:11] think is reality. We're taking a pause

[53:13] from all of that and opening ourselves

[53:16] up to exploring our real nature and

[53:19] being, which is a field of infinite

[53:23] potential, infinite possibilities,

[53:26] infinite opportunities, a field of

[53:29] infinitude itself.

[53:31] and beginning to have rich insights into

[53:34] that particular field until it becomes

[53:36] the activity of our awareness and then

[53:38] we notice that we are growing. You can

[53:41] use that word we are evolving. You can

[53:44] use that word or we are unfolding that

[53:47] who we really are is unfolding.

[53:50] And so meditation is the transportation

[53:56] to transformation.

[53:58] That is transportation

[54:03] to transformation to go beyond the

[54:06] present formation of our life. Even if

[54:08] it's sweet, even if it's wonderful the

[54:10] way you think it is, there's more to you

[54:14] than you can even dare to imagine. We

[54:16] want to explore the field of infinite

[54:18] potential within us. So I invite you to

[54:20] turn within for a moment or two.

[54:23] Extract your attention from

[54:25] circumstances.

[54:27] Extract your attention from situations

[54:30] and people, places and things. Extract

[54:33] your attention from conditions

[54:36] of which have the tendency to impinge

[54:38] upon our consciousness or uh to affect

[54:42] us.

[54:44] We want to pull our attention away from

[54:46] all of that and begin to wrap our

[54:50] attention

[54:51] around the dynamic intention

[54:55] to activate

[54:58] our potential.

[55:01] In spiritual language, that would mean

[55:03] to know God.

[55:06] That would mean to allow God, not a guy

[55:09] in the sky, but a presence that is

[55:12] everywhere of love and beauty and

[55:14] intelligence, life itself

[55:17] to know itself as our life.

[55:20] To come into a deep and an abiding

[55:22] awareness that we are yielding

[55:26] to more good than we can imagine,

[55:29] yielding to the next stage of our own

[55:31] unfolding. All of this is occurring as

[55:34] we're becoming still and quiet and

[55:38] intending to grow.

[55:42] Turn within.

[55:46] Notice that the body is breathing.

[55:51] Though you may not be consciously doing

[55:53] this, the body is extracting nitrogen,

[55:58] hydrogen,

[56:00] oxygen

[56:02] from the air

[56:04] along with other elements that it needs

[56:08] to survive

[56:10] and allowing it to be the base of our

[56:13] life.

[56:18] Now, as you're noticing that the body

[56:20] breathing

[56:22] secondarily, it's allowing you to stay

[56:25] present

[56:27] because you are where your breath is,

[56:33] transcending opinions and points of

[56:35] view.

[56:38] You are right now where your breath is.

[56:40] Now, we expand

[56:42] and we establish ourself as intentional

[56:45] beings.

[56:47] Establish yourself as a being with

[56:50] holding the intention

[56:56] of waking up to your real nature,

[57:02] growing

[57:04] into the expression

[57:07] of more of your infinite possibilities.

[57:12] In short, to know the God presence

[57:15] within you. Establish that as an

[57:18] intention.

[57:21] Now let everything else go

[57:25] and feel into the intention for you to

[57:28] know the presence

[57:31] to activate potential.

[57:34] Now,

[57:50] anything that would distract you,

[57:56] sounds,

[57:58] thoughts moving through your mind.

[58:02] You won't label anything. noise just a

[58:05] sound bringing you back to your breath.

[58:08] You notice the thoughts in your mind.

[58:11] Become aware that you are the noticer.

[58:13] You are the awareness watching all of

[58:15] that.

[58:17] It's not you.

[58:20] Who are you?

[58:22] You are the softened being that just

[58:25] established an intention

[58:28] and are noticing the breath that's

[58:29] keeping you present to your intention to

[58:32] wake up to your glorious nature.

[59:52] And this stillness in this quietude,

[59:55] this pause that's refreshing your

[59:57] awareness.

[59:59] As you as you have consciously pulled

[1:00:01] your attention away from the world of

[1:00:02] effects and circumstances,

[1:00:05] you were even brave enough, courageous

[1:00:07] enough to pull your attention away from

[1:00:08] your own opinions about anything.

[1:00:11] An opinion sometimes limits you from

[1:00:13] seeing reality

[1:00:16] to come into a state of intentionality

[1:00:22] to activate your full potential to wake

[1:00:24] up to your glorious nature. While you're

[1:00:27] staying present with the breath,

[1:00:30] in short, you're hearing the voice

[1:00:33] saying, "Be still

[1:00:35] and know

[1:00:37] that I am

[1:00:40] God in the midst of you."

[1:00:47] So in this moment of sacred silence, we

[1:00:49] give thanks

[1:00:51] and we allow this day to unfold in

[1:00:53] perfect harmony for ourselves and every

[1:00:56] single being that we come in contact

[1:00:57] with today. We open our eyes but we

[1:01:01] remain conscious that we are connected

[1:01:04] to the source of all creation. Have a

[1:01:08] beautiful and magnificent day,

[1:01:11] afternoon, evening.

[1:01:15] Let life flow through you. And so it is.

[1:01:18] Thank you for tuning in.

[1:01:22] Your time is very valuable. So I want to

[1:01:24] thank you for tuning in to take back

[1:01:26] your mind. If you want to submit a life

[1:01:29] question, please do so. Email us at

[1:01:32] podcastbeckwith.com

[1:01:35] and perhaps one day I'll be answering

[1:01:37] your question that would touch the lives

[1:01:40] of so many. If you've enjoyed the show,

[1:01:43] you might as well submit a five-star

[1:01:45] review. You might as well tell your

[1:01:48] friends and family. Let's spread the

[1:01:50] love. Until we meet again, maintain your

[1:01:53] awareness. Take back your mind. Because

[1:01:56] when you take back your mind, you take

[1:01:58] back your life. Peace and blessings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Superhuman 2: The Rebirth explores consciousness and untapped human potential through documented experiments and scientific inquiry. In the film, participants who are blind are trained and tested to identify shapes, letters, words and objects despite profound visual impairment. Michael Beckwith is one of its contributors.
Caroline Cory is an award-winning filmmaker, author, speaker and consciousness researcher who founded Omnium Media in 2010. Beckwith's introduction says she collaborated on research with scientists affiliated with institutions including Harvard Medical School, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the Institute of Noetic Sciences and Stanford University. Her films include Superhuman: The Invisible Made Visible and A Tear in the Sky.
Cory says she was five when a light filled the room and she felt she was in the presence of divine beings, merged in a magnificent energy. She didn't understand its significance until later, when she recognized a signature she now calls source. That recognition became a reference point for her work.
Cory said psychology felt too limited for the subject of consciousness, and after 15 to 20 years of largely self-directed research she wanted to show others that the effects were real. She felt she needed scientists to run experiments and gather data showing that consciousness affects the physical world. Her stated goal was to help people believe in their own potential on the basis of evidence.
Cory described people who spontaneously healed certain conditions, and traumas and phobias that dissolved after years of persistence. She also reported people who stopped alcohol addiction after taking her online class. The episode description references one remarkable healing experience that shaped her work, though the available excerpt doesn't detail it.
Cory raises this as a provocative possibility rather than a settled conclusion. Her blind-participant experiments in Superhuman 2 are designed to test whether perception can occur without ordinary sight. Readers should weigh the evidence in the film directly, since the episode presents a research program in progress.
