Oprah Winfrey's AHA comes to Sphere in Las Vegas for one weekend: four performances on April 2, 3 and 4, 2027. Oprah will be on stage at every show. In the words of the event's FAQ, "This is not a filmed message or a hologram." With her will be what the organizers call a global collective of musicians, artists and storytellers, among them Ajeet, Jacob Collier, Ocean Vuong and Wintley Phipps.
Oprah traces the idea to U2's opening night at Sphere in September 2023. When AHA was announced, she said she had sat in awe that night, "mesmerized by the possibilities of how the space could be used as a tool for creating greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our connection to each other."
"This is not a concert," the FAQ says, describing AHA instead as "part story, part score, part stillness." Its stated intention: "Storytelling and shared humanity, music and meditation, revelation and remembering." The invitation on the event's site begins with a question: "When was the last time you had a real AHA moment? A moment of sudden realization, inspiration, or insight."
AHA asks that question under Sphere's screen, which, in the announcement's words, "wraps up, over, and around the audience." Oprah said in the announcement: "Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I've spoken about and worked towards my entire life."
The announcement and Sphere's show page also credit original works by the artist Es Devlin and the Plum Village Monks. The monks come from the Plum Village community in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Neither page says what form their work will take.
Among the musicians on the bill is Ajeet. Her recordings run from Sacred Waters in 2013 through Darshan, Shuniya, Indigo Sea and Let It Breathe. Her new album, Slánú, was released on October 9, 2026. Her 2026 tour dates included festivals such as Mantra Joie in France and Bumi in Ontario. In late November she hosts a five-day Dreaming Retreat near her home in the west of Ireland, with daily yoga and meditation.
Her website features AHA on its front page, and her tour page lists it as "April 2, 3 & 4 - Oprah Winfrey's AHA Live, Sphere Las Vegas." The organizers list her among the musicians and have not said what she will perform.
Max Richter and Jon Hopkins are composing a new score "written for this room and this night," according to the FAQ, with Richter as musical director. Richter was Oscar-nominated for his Hamnet score. He told NPR in 2015 that he wrote his eight-hour SLEEP as "a musical place where people could fall asleep." His official biography speaks of "immersive worlds in which listeners can reflect, dream and reconnect." Hopkins, a Grammy-nominated composer, producer and electronic artist, has released Music For Psychedelic Therapy (2021) and RITUAL (2024). Jason White, a Grammy Award-winning musician and vocal director, is credited with choir direction.
Jacob Collier is a seven-time Grammy Award winner. For his album Djesse Vol. 4, the Associated Press reported, he used the voices of his concert audiences to create harmonies; one track is titled "100,000 Voices." "Music is the closest thing I know to magic," he wrote in his invitation to Jacob Collier's Hideaway. The Hideaway is his four-day gathering in Italy for musicians and music lovers.
Ocean Vuong, born in Saigon and raised in Hartford, won the T.S. Eliot Prize for Night Sky with Exit Wounds. He is also the author of The Emperor of Gladness, an Oprah Book Club selection. He has been a guest on The Way Out Is In, the Plum Village podcast.
Wintley Phipps is a gospel singer and minister. He founded the U.S. Dream Academy, which works with children impacted by parental incarceration and has served more than 11,000 children since 1998.
Tarell Alvin McCraney, the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Moonlight, writes the story; Ethan Tobman directs; Baz Halpin produces. Special guests, the organizers note, are subject to change.
