Yoga Retreat
Description
Follow Your Light is a seven-night yoga retreat in Phuket, Thailand, led by yoga and breathwork teacher Kacy Harnedy. It is built for practitioners of every level who want a week of twice-daily yoga, meditation and pranayama on a quiet island, with time set aside to explore Thai culture. Guests stay at a resort on Koh Lon, a short boat ride from the Phuket coast.
What to Expect
Each day pairs two yoga classes with Kacy, moving between flow, yin and restorative styles. Meditation, breathwork and yoga nidra are woven through the week, and there are occasional sound baths and cacao ceremonies. Because the schedule mixes livelier flow with slower practice, students can choose their own intensity.
The week opens with a welcome ceremony, where the group meets and settles in together. Beyond the mat, group excursions include snorkeling, temple visits and a cooking class, so the retreat is part practice and part time in the landscape and culture of southern Thailand. Chanting, breath, movement and meditation are the foundations of the healing work Kacy offers here.
Brunch is served daily from 9:30 to 11:30 am and dinner from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
About Kacy Harnedy
Kacy Harnedy is a world-traveling yoga teacher who leads wellness and healing retreats around the globe. She teaches under the name Kacy's Sacred Space, which she created as a welcoming space for people to reconnect with themselves and move toward healing and empowerment. Her specialty is pranayama and meditation, with a focus on building emotional awareness. She encourages students to find the strength to embrace emotional processing, and she brings yoga and plant medicine into everyday life, which she calls the true essence of Ahimsa. A deep connection to nature led her into herbalism, and she combines yogic tradition with plant medicine.
The Setting
Koh Lon is about a 10 minute ride from Chalong Pier by traditional longtail boat or local speedboat, and the round-trip boat transfers to the resort are part of the retreat. The crossing is meant to mark a shift away from daily life and travel. The island is ringed by turquoise water and palm-lined shores.
Meals are served at Life Cafe, the on-site restaurant, which acts as the community gathering place all week. The food is organic and plant-based, with teas, waters and local coffees. The resort also has a spa, a gym and a cold plunge.
Guests choose between a single room with a private bathroom and a shared room with a shared bathroom, each with four room options.
