Add another tool lets you choose the email, CRM, workspace or team tool you already use and connect it to your own BrightStar account. People who book your gatherings then reach your tool, through your own login or key. It is for organizers on Elevate or Amplify.
Most of us already keep a list somewhere, whether a newsletter, a spreadsheet or a team chat. This feature meets you there.
Where to find it
Dashboard → Integrations → CRM & email → scroll below the tiles to Add another tool. Tools are grouped as Email & newsletters, CRM, Workspace, Studios, courses & ticketing, and Team channels.
Connecting a tool with your key
For a tool that uses a key or webhook address:
- 1Open Add another tool and click the tool you use.
- 2Paste your key, or the address the tool asks for. Use the link in the sheet to find where it lives in that tool.
- 3Fill in any extra field the tool asks for, such as a database or sheet name.
- 4Click **Set up**. BrightStar prepares the connection by reading the tool's own documentation. This usually takes a minute or two, and you can stay on the page.
- 5If the tool offers lists, click **Show my lists** and choose where buyers should go.
- 6Click **Connect**. BrightStar checks the connection with your own account before it saves anything.
What gets sent
Each person who books one of your gatherings becomes a subscriber, contact, row, page or similar record in your tool, depending on the tool. For email tools, only buyers who agreed to marketing are added.
Team channels such as Discord, Microsoft Teams and Telegram receive a short note per order. It shows first name and last initial only, never an email address or phone number.
After connecting, you can switch sending on or off, send a test, and sync your existing buyers. Channel tools post only new activity. A log shows recent attempts.
Signing in instead of pasting a key
Some tools connect by signing in rather than with a key. If BrightStar has not opened that tool yet, you can request it. We record your request and email you when it is ready to connect.
A few tools only bring events and past attendees into BrightStar. For those you will see an import option instead of a send option.
