Wellness Retreat
Description
Tending Your Soil, Nourish What You Want To Grow is a restorative wellness retreat weekend at the Journey Inn in Maiden Rock, Wisconsin, in the Driftless Region. It is part of the inn's winter retreat series, The Seasons Within. It suits adults of any age or experience level who want to slow down in the quiet of winter and give some care to the parts of life they hope to grow in the season ahead.
What to Expect
The weekend is built around nourishment of body, mind, and whatever in your life you want to cultivate. The idea behind it is simple: nothing blooms all year, and winter gives us time to tend what lies beneath the surface. You are invited to slow down, reconnect, and consider what deserves your attention now so it can grow later.
The Journey Inn's retreats weave together thoughtfully curated classes, workshops, movement practices, and free time. The pace is meant to meet you wherever you are, whether this is your first wellness retreat or one of many. Other retreats in the winter series draw on restorative movement, time in nature, spa rituals, sound healing, and reflection, which gives a sense of the inn's rhythm, though this weekend's focus is restoration and nourishment.
The group is capped at 12 guests. That small size makes room for real conversation, personal attention from facilitators, and the space to relax and be yourself.
The Setting
The Journey Inn sits among soaring bluffs and swaying pines near Maiden Rock, in a secluded part of the Driftless Region. Guests often notice a quiet, grounding feeling on arrival, and the sounds of nature take the place of daily noise. It is a fitting backdrop for a weekend of rest and reflection.
Rooms are private, with king beds, private bathrooms, luxurious linens, and organic bath amenities. Common spaces are set up for rest and connection. Meals are farm-to-table, with dietary accommodations available, and the table is part of the retreat: the aim is for you to feel cared for throughout the weekend, not only during scheduled sessions.
Before You Go
No prior experience with wellness practices is needed. The retreat welcomes adults of all ages and levels. Lodging and meals are part of the Journey Inn retreat experience, and the weekend runs from Friday through Sunday. With only 12 places, the retreat can fill, so it helps to plan ahead.
