Moving Through Stress: A Guided Breath and Body Meditation

From Michael Galyon

Michael Galyon's 30-minute guided meditation "Moving Through Stress," published in February 2025, rests on a patient and unusually practical premise: stress is not something to argue with or banish in the first minute, but something to acknowledge, locate in the body, and gradually let move. The recording begins with the breath as an object of curiosity, widens into the space around the body, travels slowly from the crown of the head to the toes, and then turns toward the heart and whatever feeling is present in the moment. It is written for someone who feels wound tight and wants a clear sequence to follow rather than a goal to reach.

Why does this meditation begin with the breath as a question?

Before any instruction to relax, Galyon opens with a safety note that many guided recordings skip. If you are somewhere that requires you to stay alert to your surroundings, he says, keep your eyes open and stay aware. That small caveat sets the tone for everything that follows: this is a practice you can do with your attention, not a retreat from the world.

The breathing instructions are the first real lesson. He does not tell you to breathe deeply or slow down. He asks you to get curious about the sensation itself. Feel the air enter and exit through the nostrils. What is the temperature of the air as it enters, and how does that temperature differ as it exits? That shift from doing to noticing is the hinge of the whole session. Stress tends to live in the narrative of what is wrong and what must happen next. A question about temperature and texture pulls attention into the present tense, where the nervous system has less to argue about.

From there the breath is guided downward, a path that becomes the template for the rest of the recording. First it drops into the chest, where he asks for "a rise and fall of the chest with each breath," and then into the belly, where the inhale is allowed to expand outward and the exhale is allowed to return to center. Notice the verbs. The breath is never forced. It is invited, expanded, and allowed to collapse. The listener is taught that release is a movement the body already knows how to make.

How does expanding into space help when you feel stressed?

The middle section is where the meditation does something distinctive. Instead of staying inside the body, Galyon asks you to draw awareness to "the edges of the body, the space between you and the space around you." The image is spatial, almost architectural. You locate where your skin ends and the room begins, then send the breath forward into the space in front of you and back again. Next come the sides, with the shoulders and arms pressing outward on each inhale, and finally the whole body expanding in every direction at once.

The phrase that anchors this stretch is simple: "giving yourself permission to just take up space." For many people under pressure, stress shows up as contraction. The shoulders climb, the ribs narrow, the body makes itself small enough to avoid notice. Galyon's instruction runs the other way. Each inhale is a larger, wider claim on the room, and each exhale returns you to what he calls "a secure stable Center." The alternation matters. Expansion without return can feel destabilizing, and the meditation keeps coming back to center so that the widening never becomes a loss of ground.

If you have ever noticed that your posture changes the moment you feel safe, this section is a way of teaching that in reverse. You are not waiting for calm to arrive before you take up space. You are using the body's spatial sense to signal that there is room here.

What does a head-to-toe body scan look for?

Around the midpoint, the recording shifts into a body scan that is among the most carefully paced parts of the session. Galyon first asks you to settle into the cushion beneath you, feeling "a heaviness of the lower body," and then to balance that groundedness with a lift through the upper body, "almost as if the shoulders had two balloons attached to them that could take you to the ceiling." It is a small image with a clear function: heaviness below and buoyancy above is a posture of support, not collapse.

The scan then travels from the crown of the head downward. At each stop he asks two questions. The first is about sensation: "if there's a discomfort there, if there's anything that may feel like an ache or a pain." The second is about possibility: "what would it feel like to let go, what would it feel like to release?" Notice that the scan does not ask you to fix anything. It asks you to notice and to imagine release, which is a gentler and more accurate frame than trying to force the muscles to relax.

The scan moves through the forehead, eyes, ears, jaw, the inside of the mouth, the throat, the shoulders, the arms and fingers, the space between the shoulder blades, the belly, the pelvis, the legs, and finally the feet and toes. At one point he offers a particularly vivid instruction: "almost as if you could take a ray of light and pinpoint each part of the body." That image gives the scan its rhythm. You are not searching frantically. You are sweeping, the way a lighthouse moves across water, and pausing where the beam catches something.

"Give yourself full permission to bring your awareness and attention to that spot, and whatever way feels right for you, begin to create movement."

Galyon, in the recording (approx. 13:52 to 15:21)

What should you do when tension won't let go?

This is where the meditation earns its title. After the scan, Galyon acknowledges that some places will still be holding on, and he does not treat that as failure. He asks you to return to whichever spot is calling for attention, whether that is "the shoulders or the space between the shoulders," the hands or fists, or the lower back. Then he invites movement. Roll the shoulders back once or twice. Shift the weight in the seat from side to side. Release the hands or feet. Move the neck gently.

The key line is about listening to the situation you are in: "in response to the stressful situation outside, start to tune into what the body needs and just give yourself that gift of movement." That sentence makes the body an active participant in the process. Stress is acknowledged as something that exists outside the cushion and inside the nervous system, and the response is not to argue with either. It is to let the body do something small and specific, then sink a little deeper with each movement.

The word "move" in the title is taken literally here. The practice does not ask you to think your way through stress. It asks you to let stored tension find a physical outlet, which is often more reliable than analysis when a situation has already made you feel overwhelmed.

How do you meet an emotion without being swept away?

The last major movement of the recording turns from sensation to feeling. Galyon guides attention to the chest, the muscles around it, and then the heart, with an optional hand placed over the sternum. He asks how fast the heart is beating and then, more pointedly, whether anything is coming up. The language is open: "just allow yourself to feel whatever is coming up for you." Later he names possibilities directly, including fear, saying "scared, I'm feeling" as a prompt the listener can take up or leave.

What is useful here is the method rather than any particular feeling. He asks you to imagine the chest cavity taking up every last bit of room, to let the emotion expand with the breath, and to notice what it would feel like to let go of it on the exhale. He then asks you to let the feeling remain if it wants to, and to bring attention to the ground beneath you and the space around you. The emotion is not chased out or analyzed. It is given room, and then the room is given back to the wider environment.

That is a meaningful distinction for anyone who has been told that feelings must be fixed or explained before they can be felt. Here, the feeling is allowed to be present in the same way the breath and the tension were allowed to be present: as a sensation that can change shape if it is met with spaciousness.

What is the practical takeaway from this meditation?

Taken as a whole, the recording offers a repeatable sequence that does not depend on how you feel when you begin. Start by acknowledging the stress and staying alert if you need to. Use the breath as a question. Widen into the space around you and return to center. Scan the body from top to bottom and name the places that hold on. Move those places, even slightly. Then meet whatever feeling remains with the same open attention you gave the breath.

The meditation does not promise that stress will disappear by the end of 30 minutes. It proposes something more modest and, for many people, more believable: that stress can be felt, located, and gradually released through attention and movement. That is what "moving through" means in this context. It is a process of passing through, not a switch that turns off.

Where to go from here

If this recording speaks to you, the most useful next step is to practice it in a quiet space at least once without rushing. Notice which parts of the sequence come easily and which ones stall. Those stalling points are often where the stress is most concentrated, and they are worth returning to in shorter sessions. You might also try only the breath-and-expansion section on days when the full scan feels like too much, or only the body scan when you have a few minutes between obligations. Keep your eyes open and stay aware of your surroundings when the situation calls for it, as Galyon suggests at the start. The practice is designed to meet you where you are, including in the middle of a difficult day.

Watch the full recording, which runs about 30 minutes, and let the sequence set the pace rather than your to-do list.

[0:07] hi it's Michael and just a reminder that

[0:10] these meditations are intended to be

[0:12] done in the Stillness and quiet of a

[0:15] space that you feel comfortable in where

[0:17] you can close your eyes for a few

[0:18] moments and relax so if you're anywhere

[0:21] that requires you to be mindful and

[0:23] aware of your surroundings make sure to

[0:25] keep your eyes open keep alert and

[0:28] aware otherwise let's take a deep breath

[0:32] in and breathe

[0:35] out and let it all

[0:38] settle and then go ahead and close down

[0:40] your eyes or you can just stay here with

[0:44] me and then start to connect to the

[0:48] breath just feeling what it feels like

[0:50] in this moment to breathe breathing

[0:55] in and breathing out

[1:00] feeling the air enter and exit through

[1:02] the nostrils as you breathe

[1:07] in and breathe

[1:12] out just playing with a sense of

[1:15] curiosity what does it feel like to have

[1:17] that air enter

[1:20] in and exit

[1:25] out what is the temperature of the air

[1:28] as it enters into the nostrils

[1:32] and how does that temperature differ as

[1:34] it

[1:39] exits just for a moment playing with

[1:41] what it feels like to Simply breathe

[2:09] and now allow for that breath to drop

[2:12] into the chest and feeling a rise and

[2:15] fall of the chest with each breath

[2:18] feeling it nice and high as you breathe

[2:22] in and breathe

[2:25] out feeling that full expansion of the

[2:28] chest as you breathe in

[2:31] and then a dropping of the chest a fall

[2:34] of the chest as you breathe

[2:39] out just playing with what it feels like

[2:41] to expand the

[2:44] chest and then what it feels like to let

[2:47] it

[2:49] fall breathing

[2:52] in and breathing

[2:56] out bringing back that Curiosity to what

[2:59] it feels like like to breathe

[3:03] in and breathe

[3:13] out and now drop that awareness and

[3:16] attention into the

[3:18] belly feeling a full deep breath from

[3:22] below feeling that expansion of the

[3:24] belly outward with each

[3:28] inhale and then letting go in letting it

[3:30] come back to center with each

[3:34] exhale that full deep inhale letting the

[3:38] belly

[3:40] expand and feel that collapse as it

[3:43] comes in letting all of the air

[3:59] out and just feeling into this sense of

[4:02] expansion again with the belly feeling

[4:05] that large expansive

[4:09] breath and then letting it all go on the

[4:15] exhale breathing

[4:19] in and breathing out

[4:33] and then start to draw your awareness to

[4:35] the edges of the

[4:36] body the space between you and the space

[4:40] around

[4:42] you noting where your body ends and that

[4:45] openness of space begins start to become

[4:48] aware of the space directly in front of

[4:52] you letting the breath push you into

[4:55] that space in front of

[4:57] you breathing in

[5:01] and coming back as you breathe

[5:05] out feeling that forward motion through

[5:08] space as you breathe

[5:11] in and then settling backwards into that

[5:14] space as you breathe

[5:17] out breathing in feeling that forward

[5:22] motion and breathing out coming back

[5:35] and then start to notice the space to

[5:37] either side of

[5:40] you and with each inhale allow for the

[5:43] shoulders and arms to begin to press

[5:46] outward into the openness of space to

[5:48] either

[5:49] side breathing in feeling that large

[5:52] expansion

[5:55] outward and then letting it come back to

[5:57] Center

[6:00] breathing in feeling that large

[6:03] expansive breath taking you

[6:06] outward and then coming back to

[6:11] Center breathing

[6:15] in and breathing

[6:22] out and then become aware of the entire

[6:26] body the space above Below in front of

[6:29] you into either

[6:32] side and with the breath begin to

[6:34] imagine the entire body expanding in

[6:37] each Direction fully giving yourself

[6:39] permission to just take up

[6:42] space breathing in feeling that wide

[6:45] expansion in each

[6:47] Direction and breathing out coming back

[6:50] to a secure stable

[6:56] Center breathing in feeling that full

[6:58] expansion in all directions

[7:02] Cs and breathing out letting it all come

[7:07] back and then finally one more time with

[7:10] a deep inhale feeling expansion in all

[7:13] [Music]

[7:14] directions and then come back to

[7:19] [Music]

[7:22] Center and now allowing for the breath

[7:24] to return

[7:26] to a normal

[7:28] Pace not needing to manipulate it in any

[7:34] way but from here begin to become aware

[7:38] of the

[7:40] body aware of what you're sitting

[7:43] on and aware of what's beneath

[7:49] you and with that awareness begin to

[7:52] allow for a sinking into the cushion

[7:55] beneath you feeling a heaviness of the

[7:57] lower body

[8:00] just letting everything settle into that

[8:11] space and as you feel into that settling

[8:14] From Below start

[8:15] to connect to the upper body as

[8:18] well feeling that rise from

[8:21] above almost as if the shoulders had two

[8:24] balloons attached to them that could

[8:26] take you to the ceiling

[8:30] playing with that rise and

[8:38] fall and then start to become aware of

[8:42] the entire

[8:43] body from head to

[8:46] toe noting where you are in space and

[8:49] time here and

[8:53] now and start to draw all of your

[8:55] attention and awareness to the crown of

[8:57] your head just right at the top

[9:03] and start to

[9:05] notice if there's a discomfort there if

[9:09] there's anything that may feel like an

[9:11] ache or a

[9:14] pain and just letting yourself play with

[9:17] what it might feel like to let

[9:20] go what would it feel like to

[9:28] release and then drop that awareness

[9:30] onto the

[9:34] forehead into the space between your

[9:37] eyes your eyes your ears your nose your

[9:43] mouth and then drawing awareness into

[9:45] the

[9:48] jaw just letting it

[9:53] drop becoming aware of the entirety of

[9:56] the upper

[9:58] body begin to note if there's any

[10:00] tension or tightness

[10:02] there and if there is give yourself

[10:06] permission to just let everything drop

[10:08] everything

[10:10] settle playing again with that feeling

[10:12] of what would it feel like to let

[10:22] go and then draw that awareness to the

[10:25] inside of the mouth the teeth the tongue

[10:30] the roof of the mouth and down the

[10:34] throat become aware of the entirety of

[10:36] the neck and just let everything release

[10:39] as you let

[10:43] go and then draw that awareness to the

[10:47] shoulders letting them

[10:49] drop releasing any tension that might be

[10:52] stored

[10:58] there and then moving that awareness and

[11:00] attention down through the arms through

[11:02] the elbows the forearms into the wrists

[11:05] into the

[11:11] fingers feeling in for any tension or

[11:14] tightness that might be held there and

[11:16] if there is just let it

[11:19] go playing with this lightness of the

[11:21] arms almost as if they could float up to

[11:23] the ceiling

[11:30] and then draw that awareness to the

[11:32] space between the

[11:35] shoulders dropping down from the

[11:37] shoulders into the lower

[11:39] back becoming aware of all of the

[11:42] muscles from the upper back near the

[11:44] neck down to the lower

[11:47] back just fully aware of any tension or

[11:50] tightness being held there and then

[11:53] whatever way feels right begin to let go

[12:05] and then draw that awareness into the

[12:10] belly letting

[12:15] go and then drop that awareness down

[12:17] into the lower half of the body starting

[12:19] with the seat the hips the

[12:22] pelvis down through the upper legs

[12:25] feeling again that heaviness that

[12:28] sinking from beneath

[12:34] and then draw that awareness to the

[12:36] knees the calves The Shins the

[12:40] ankles into the feet and through the

[12:46] toes just scanning through the entire

[12:49] lower body seeing if there's anything

[12:50] that might be holding on and if so let

[12:54] go

[13:07] and then draw that awareness and

[13:10] attention to the entire

[13:13] body from above to

[13:16] below from the head to the

[13:18] [Music]

[13:19] toes just scanning through almost as if

[13:21] you could take a ray of light and

[13:23] pinpoint each part of the body drawing

[13:26] attention from the top of the head to

[13:28] the toes

[13:33] and then start to note the places on the

[13:35] body that might still be holding on

[13:37] those spaces of tension or

[13:41] tightness and draw the awareness and

[13:43] attention to that

[13:46] spot maybe it's the

[13:48] shoulders or the space between the

[13:52] shoulders maybe it's a tightening of the

[13:54] hands or

[13:56] fists or maybe it's the lower back

[14:02] and whatever is calling out for your

[14:03] attention in this

[14:08] moment give yourself full permission to

[14:10] bring your awareness and attention to

[14:13] that

[14:16] spot and whatever way feels right for

[14:19] you begin to create

[14:22] movement if it's the shoulders perhaps

[14:25] letting them roll back once or

[14:27] twice if it's the lower back creating

[14:30] movement in the seat from side to

[14:34] side releasing the hands or

[14:37] feet moving the neck from side to

[14:41] side tuning into the body and in

[14:44] response to the stressful situation

[14:47] outside start to tune into what the body

[14:51] needs and just give yourself that gift

[14:54] of

[14:58] movement and with each each movement

[15:00] just allow for yourself to sink deeper

[15:02] and deeper letting

[15:21] go and then from

[15:23] here begin to bring the attention into

[15:26] the chest

[15:30] aware of the muscles within the

[15:37] chest and become aware of the

[15:41] heart and if it's helpful you can bring

[15:43] a hand and place it on the

[15:45] heart feeling into the

[15:53] beating and start to connect with the

[15:57] pace how fast is the heart heart beating

[16:00] right

[16:05] now just let yourself be with the

[16:09] heart taking a moment in Stillness and

[16:12] silence to just focus on the beating of

[16:15] that

[16:16] heart not needing to be anywhere else

[16:19] but right here

[16:38] and then still in connection with the

[16:41] heart begin to tune into the emotions or

[16:45] the feelings that might be present for

[16:47] you in response to the stressful

[16:49] situation you're facing right

[16:55] now just letting them be there

[17:00] not needing to push them away or make

[17:02] them any different but just allow for

[17:04] yourself to become aware of what what is

[17:06] there for

[17:09] you is there an

[17:12] anger is there

[17:14] sadness is there

[17:16] fear is there

[17:22] confusion just give yourself permission

[17:24] to feel whatever is coming up for you

[17:30] there's no right or wrong way to

[17:32] feel it just

[17:40] is and as you begin to identify these

[17:44] emotions these feelings that are

[17:47] present start to label them with their

[17:52] name saying to yourself I'm feeling

[17:57] sad I'm feeling feeling

[18:00] scared I'm feeling

[18:05] angry and again without judgment without

[18:08] needing to fix or change a thing about

[18:10] your experience just let it be

[18:19] [Music]

[18:24] present and then start to tune into the

[18:27] emotion

[18:29] that's calling out for

[18:31] you the one that is most in need right

[18:39] now and fix your attention on that

[18:43] feeling or that emotion that's present

[18:45] for

[18:46] you and almost as if you could take that

[18:49] within your

[18:51] hand begin to allow for that to come

[18:54] back and be placed on the

[18:57] heart if it feels right bringing the

[18:59] hand back there if it's

[19:01] moved and drawing that feeling or

[19:04] emotion closer to the

[19:07] heart attaching to

[19:13] it and then begin to imagine the heart

[19:17] as a mechanism within your chest that

[19:20] could breathe on its

[19:23] own just as you experience that

[19:25] expansion and collapse

[19:29] your heart can now expand and

[19:35] collapse and a connection to the

[19:39] heart with that feeling or emotion

[19:42] connected to

[19:44] it with each breath begin to imagine the

[19:48] heart expanding into the entirety of the

[19:51] chest cavity taking up every last

[19:57] inch and with each exhale allowing for

[20:00] it to return back to its

[20:05] space allowing for that feeling of that

[20:08] inhale to take the heart wider and

[20:13] wider and then coming

[20:19] back continuing to play with this image

[20:22] of the heart expanding and collapsing

[20:29] and with that begin to imagine that

[20:32] emotion or feeling expanding with it

[20:35] getting larger and larger in your body

[20:37] feeling it in its

[20:41] entirety and then with each exhale

[20:44] letting go and feeling it come back to

[20:46] Center to its right

[20:52] size feeling that deep inhale the heart

[20:56] expanding with that feeling or emotion

[20:58] expanding with with

[21:01] it and then breathing out and letting it

[21:03] come back to

[21:08] Center take a few moments to just be

[21:10] with this expansion and

[21:13] collapse noting what that emotion or

[21:16] feeling transforms into with each

[21:22] inhale noting how it feels to let go

[21:44] taking one final deep breath

[21:48] in and as that heart expands let

[21:52] go feeling everything return back to

[21:56] Center to the Stillness of the Here and

[21:58] Now

[22:05] and begin to feel into that feeling or

[22:07] emotion one more

[22:11] time and fully connect

[22:14] [Music]

[22:16] to it's

[22:22] need how can your body begin to

[22:26] express a need for that emotion

[22:33] and whatever way feels right for you

[22:35] just letting yourself Express that

[22:38] emotion in some

[22:40] way whether that's

[22:42] through a clenching of the fists or a

[22:45] shaking of the

[22:47] body or a movement from side to side a

[22:50] gentle

[22:52] rocking just let yourself begin to fully

[22:56] Express whatever needs to be let out

[22:59] whatever is

[23:02] remaining just let that emotion or that

[23:04] feeling be present and expressed within

[23:07] the

[23:26] body and then starting to release

[23:30] to let go of that

[23:36] expression and as you do allow for that

[23:38] feeling or that emotion to

[23:42] drop and watch as it almost settles into

[23:45] the ground beneath

[23:48] you still present but not as oppressive

[24:00] Let the Body

[24:03] relax let the breath

[24:08] relax let whatever was on you before

[24:11] that stressful

[24:12] experience

[24:17] relax if you're still holding on to

[24:21] anything see what it would feel like to

[24:24] let go

[24:29] to

[24:31] surrender to not need to hold on

[24:53] anymore return to the awareness of the

[24:56] heart

[24:59] the awareness of the

[25:04] body the awareness of the

[25:09] breath the awareness of this moment

[25:12] right here right

[25:15] now letting thoughts

[25:20] settle and becoming aware of the sounds

[25:23] within the

[25:25] room the sound of my voice

[25:29] any of the ambient noises within the

[25:37] room giving yourself permission to

[25:40] experience

[25:47] sound and then returning to the breath

[25:49] through the nose breathing in feeling

[25:52] what it feels like to experience smell

[25:58] noting any of the Aromas within the

[26:02] room and letting it bring you back to

[26:05] this

[26:14] moment and with a gentle swallow or

[26:16] running of your tongue over your

[26:19] lips start to become aware of what it

[26:22] feels like to experience taste in this

[26:24] moment

[26:38] and then begin to draw your hands

[26:40] together in front of

[26:42] you gently begin to rub them back and

[26:47] forth exploring the feeling of movement

[26:49] in the

[26:51] hands as you rub them together feeling

[26:54] the warmth that comes from that friction

[27:09] and then allowing for yourself to

[27:11] perhaps explore the fabric of your

[27:16] clothing exploring what it feels like to

[27:19] touch right here right

[27:22] now what does it feel like to touch

[27:32] and then whenever it feels right if your

[27:35] eyes have been closed go ahead and

[27:37] flutter them

[27:38] open and start to take in the space

[27:40] around

[27:41] you the colors the shapes the

[27:46] figures noting what's above you and

[27:49] Below

[27:50] you noting what's to each side of you

[27:54] noting what's in front of you and what's

[27:56] behind

[28:00] and fully coming back to the experience

[28:02] of all of the senses right here right

[28:06] now taking it all

[28:10] in not needing to carry anything else

[28:16] today and in this space looking around

[28:18] take your hand and put it back on your

[28:23] heart give yourself a sense of gratitude

[28:26] for showing up for yourself yourself

[28:28] today for taking time in the midst of a

[28:32] very stressful moment to connect with

[28:38] you from this

[28:40] space take a deep breath

[28:43] in and breathe

[28:46] out let it all

[28:54] settle as you go forward this week

[28:58] continue to remember

[29:00] that through the simple Act of

[29:02] connecting back with yourself whether

[29:05] it's through the breath through the body

[29:08] through the heart connecting to the

[29:09] emotional

[29:11] experience you can allow for yourself to

[29:14] become present to what is

[29:17] here

[29:18] now letting go of those thoughts of

[29:21] tomorrow or worries about

[29:27] yesterday hold on to this

[29:30] feeling remember that this is some place

[29:32] you can return

[29:35] to that this episode is something you

[29:37] can return

[29:46] to so as we end

[29:49] today let's take one more deep breath

[29:53] in and breathe

[29:56] out let it all set up

[30:00] go take care of yourself and I will see

[30:02] you next week

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a 30-minute guided meditation focused on acknowledging the stress you are experiencing and beginning to move through it. It combines breath awareness, expansion into the space around the body, a head-to-toe body scan, gentle movement, and attention to the heart and any emotion that arises.
Yes. Galyon says at the start of the recording that if you are somewhere requiring you to be mindful and aware of your surroundings, you should keep your eyes open and stay alert. He suggests closing your eyes only when the setting is comfortable and private.
Move slowly from the crown of your head to your toes, noticing any ache, discomfort, or tightness at each area. Ask what it would feel like to let go or release, and if a spot is still holding on, allow small movements such as rolling the shoulders or shifting weight in the seat.
In this recording, it means breathing into the edges of the body and letting the inhale expand the shoulders, arms, and whole body outward in every direction, then returning to a stable center on the exhale. Galyon frames it as giving yourself permission to take up space rather than contracting under pressure.
Galyon invites you to let the emotion expand with the breath, notice what it would feel like to let go on the exhale, and allow the feeling to remain if it wants to. Then bring attention to the ground beneath you and the space around you rather than trying to analyze or push the feeling away.
The recording is designed for acknowledging and moving through stress by combining breath, spatial awareness, body scanning, and movement. It does not promise that stress will disappear within a single session, but it offers a repeatable structure for noticing and releasing tension.
