Neale Donald Walsch

Neale Donald Walsch

American author whose Conversations with God series — beginning with Conversations with God: Book 1 (1995), recorded as a stream-of-consciousness dialogue at his lowest moment of unemployment, divorce, and homelessness — became one of the most widely-read New Spirituality bestsellers of the late twentieth century, with over twelve million copies sold in 37 languages. Born 1943 in Milwaukee, Walsch worked as a radio talk show host and PR director before the events of his early fifties produced the original CWG manuscript. The series eventually grew to nine books, supplemented by Friendship with God, Communion with God, Tomorrow's God, and many others. The CWG philosophy is unapologetically nondual: God is not separate from creation but is the creation experiencing itself, life is the soul's chosen curriculum, and 'the purpose of life is to know yourself, create yourself, experience yourself as Who You Really Are.'
