About This Event

Description

Many people know they are sensitive without ever quite knowing how. Perhaps you notice a shift in someone's mood before they say a word, or your mind races with connections others seem to miss, or certain sounds and rooms leave you feeling depleted. In What's Your Sensitivity Type?: Discover the 6 Primary Types and Embody Your Personal Strengths, Find Greater Calm & Cultivate Self-Trust, mind-body expert Dr. Natasha Fallahi offers another way of looking at these experiences: not as proof that you are too sensitive, but as clues to how your sensitivity actually works.

At the heart of her work is the idea that sensitivity is not a single trait. In her view it expresses itself through six distinct yet interconnected types: mental, emotional, physical, chemical, social and energetic. Knowing which of these show up most strongly in your life, she teaches, can help you recognize what tips you into overwhelm, what your mind and body may be communicating, and what you need to feel grounded and connected to yourself. It may also explain why something that helps in one situation does little in another.

This free online video event from The Shift Network runs for an hour. Dr. Natasha introduces each of the six types and looks at why overthinking, absorbing other people's emotions, sensory overload, reactions to environments and social depletion can point to quite different needs, and why the same response will not serve them all. She also turns to the other side of the picture. The mind prone to overthinking, she suggests, is often remarkably skilled at detecting patterns, and the empathy that leaves you carrying someone else's feelings also reveals a capacity for deep connection. Among the strengths she names are pattern recognition, empathy, intuition, sensory awareness, advocacy and subtle perception.

Part of the hour is given to practice. Dr. Natasha guides her Sensitivity System Reset, a gentle sequence of present-moment awareness, a body scan, intentional breathing and an adapted form of energy-center clearing. As you tune in, you notice what shifts and identify one compassionate step that might help you feel even five percent more supported: reducing sensory input, naming an emotion or a need, stepping outside, strengthening a boundary, or simply giving yourself permission to rest. The aim is a simple way to recognize what is happening when your thoughts, emotions, senses or surroundings become too much, and to choose one supportive next step rather than treating every kind of overwhelm the same way.

Dr. Natasha Fallahi is a mind-body health expert, functional medicine practitioner, energy therapist, certified autoimmune coach and multimedia artist with an intuitive approach to living and healing. She holds a doctorate in chiropractic and advanced training in functional medicine, functional immunology, functional neurology, energy psychology, homeopathy, nutrition and somatic bodywork, and her background in multimedia studies, art and design brings a creative flair to her work. As founder of Club Sensitive, she brings together sensitive people living with anxiety, depression and overwhelm, who connect live, share stories and practice mind-body techniques together. By her own account, she struggled for many years with health issues no one could explain, and after turning to mind-body medicine she dedicated her life and career to people living with mystery symptoms and chronic illness.

The live broadcast is on Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 10:00am Pacific (1:00pm Eastern), with a final replay on Tuesday, November 10 at 12:00pm Pacific (3:00pm Eastern). Registration is free on The Shift Network's page, and everyone who registers receives the recording. Those who attend will also be among the first to hear about Dr. Natasha's upcoming seven-week live video course, which explores each of the six types more deeply through embodied practices, helping participants discover their own sensitivity profile, reduce overwhelm and develop their natural gifts for connection, compassion and intuition.
