Trevor Hall
Concert
Description
Trevor Hall plays Rams Head On Stage in Annapolis, Maryland, as part of a late-year run of intimate theater and listening-room shows along the East Coast. It is a live concert for people who love the meeting point of roots reggae, folk and kirtan, and for anyone drawn to music that treats spiritual life as something lived rather than decorated.
What to Expect
This is a seated-club evening of songs from a musician whose work moves between acoustic folk, reggae rhythms and devotional chanting, with electronic textures woven through. The themes are interior: love, impermanence, connection, and the texture of a spiritual life actually being practiced. Fans of kirtan-influenced music will find the call-and-response spirit of that tradition sitting alongside the craft of a songwriter.
The Annapolis show is one stop among several on the tour, which also includes dates in Massachusetts, Virginia and New York. VIP options are offered for the concert dates.
About Trevor Hall
Trevor Hall recorded his first album at sixteen, growing up on the coast of South Carolina. He then moved to Idyllwild Arts Academy in California, where two things happened that would shape everything after: he studied classical guitar seriously, and he encountered the spiritual traditions of India. That combination of formal musicianship and devotional practice runs through all of his work, and it sets him apart from many artists in the folk-reggae space, where spirituality often stays decorative.
His writing is personal enough that it has built a loyal following, nearly 400,000 listeners on Spotify and sold-out tours, without relying on the mainstream currents of pop.
The Venue
Rams Head On Stage is a music venue in Annapolis, Maryland, the kind of room where a songwriter's lyrics and the quieter passages of a set can be heard clearly.
Beyond the Tour
For those who want more time with the music, Trevor Hall also leads the Find Your Center Retreat at Rancho Santana in Tola, Nicaragua, a six-day gathering at the end of January into early February. It is a separate event from the Annapolis concert.
