What will the daily schedule and practices be like?

The organizer's page gives only the title, The Wisdom of Stillness Retreat with Katie Behner, and no schedule or description of practices. Details such as meditation styles, silence, or teaching sessions aren't published there. Ask the center or the registration materials for the program before you commit.

Will horses or the farm animals be part of the retreat?

The listing doesn't say so. The center does run separate horse-centered events, such as Pondering the Heart with Horses, but those are distinct programs. Ask the center whether any barn or horse time is part of this retreat.

Description

The Wisdom of Stillness Retreat is a weekend meditation retreat led by Katie Behner at Stepping Stones Farm & Retreat Center in Temple, New Hampshire. It is for anyone who feels worn thin and wants a few days to reset the nervous system, reconnect with themselves, and return to what matters most to them.

The weekend brings together mindfulness meditation, restorative practices, and a sound bath, held on a working farm and retreat center in the New Hampshire countryside.

What to Expect

The retreat runs over a weekend and is built around three offerings:

- Mindfulness meditation, the foundation of the weekend, giving you time to settle, notice, and rest your attention.
- HeartMath and restorative practices, gentle methods aimed at calming the body and steadying the heart and mind.
- Sound bath and sacred rest, a chance to lie back and let sound and stillness do the work.

The emphasis throughout is on slowing down rather than striving. The themes are nervous system regulation, self-connection, and coming back to what truly matters, so the weekend suits both people who already meditate and those who are looking for a gentler way in.
