Description
The Calm Circuit is a live online yoga workshop on the science and practice of vagus nerve regulation for healing, led by M. Mala Cunningham, Ph.D., C-IAYT. Held over a weekend on Zoom-style live sessions from home, it is for anyone who wants to work with their nervous system through neuro-yoga practices rather than against it, whether you come to yoga for stress, recovery, or a steadier daily baseline.
What to Expect
The weekend is built around one idea: you can learn to activate your Calm Circuit. Dr. Cunningham draws on the Neuro-Yoga Psychology Model to explain how the vagus nerve shapes the way the body moves between stress and rest, and then teaches practices that support that shift. The approach is practical. Rather than leaving you with theory alone, the workshop helps you develop a personal RESET toolkit, a set of neuro-yoga practices you can return to on your own after the live sessions end.
Expect a blend of explanation and experience: the reasoning behind vagus nerve regulation, followed by time to try the practices and notice their effect. Because the workshop is offered online, you take part from wherever you have a quiet, comfortable space, with no travel involved.
About M. Mala Cunningham, Ph.D., C-IAYT
M. Mala Cunningham holds a doctorate and the C-IAYT credential, which marks certification as a yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. She teaches the Neuro-Yoga Psychology Model, the framework that underpins this workshop, and brings it to the topic of healing through nervous system regulation.
Before You Go
This is a live online workshop, so you will need a device with a reliable internet connection and a space where you can sit or move comfortably for the sessions. The material is framed around healing and nervous system regulation, so it suits people interested in a gentle, science-informed way into yoga practice. The workshop is part of the Integral Yoga programming associated with Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, though you attend from home.
