Healing Retreat
Description
The Breathe Retreat: Return to Yourself is a four-day healing retreat for women, held in the North Georgia mountains at Elohee in Sautee Nacoochee. It is led by Tori Tatum, LPC, and Jessie Henry of Counseling Reimagined, and it is made for women who are ready to slow down, reconnect with their bodies, and take time to notice what they need.
What to Expect
The retreat blends breathwork, restorative yoga, sound healing, creative expression, time in nature, ceremony, and conversation. Across the days you learn about your nervous system, notice how your body communicates with you, and try practices that help you move through emotion rather than disconnect from it. There is no single right way to do this. Some moments are stillness, others are breath, movement, humming, creating, resting, or standing barefoot outside.
The schedule is tentative and may change, but its rhythm is clear. Thursday begins with afternoon arrival, introductions in Mandala Hall, dinner, a first workshop, and a late sound bath. Friday has a morning workshop, a long midday break with free time, a guided hike, and optional massage or reiki, then a third workshop and evening restorative yoga. Saturday centers on a morning breathwork session with reflection and grounding, a creative art workshop, free time with yoga at the pavilion, a bonfire, and a full moon cacao ceremony. Sunday closes with a waterfall meditation and ceremony, then lunch and a 1:00 PM departure.
Much of the value, as the organizers describe it, happens between sessions: sitting beside another woman who understands, walking in the woods with nowhere to be, laughing over dinner, and receiving support instead of always giving it.
About Tori Tatum, LPC
Tori Tatum is a licensed professional counselor and the founder of Counseling Reimagined, where she brings together traditional therapy and holistic practice. She uses EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in her sessions and encourages clients to explore other approaches, including Microcurrent Neurofeedback, breathwork, and mindfulness-based techniques. She is known for a warm space in which clients process trauma, build self-awareness, and find the answers already within them.
About Jessie Henry
Jessie Henry is a Breathwork Facilitator and Neurofeedback Specialist at Counseling Reimagined. Her love of women's retreats began in 2021, when she experienced the effect of a supportive, sacred container herself. She now guides other women with a grounded, compassionate presence, creating spaces where participants feel seen, heard, and supported.
The Setting
Elohee sits in the mountains of North Georgia, and the retreat uses its Mandala Hall, a pavilion for yoga, the surrounding woods, and a nearby waterfall. Lodging is in ground-level cottage rooms. Options include a small private room with a shared bath, double rooms with two twin beds or one king bed and a private bath (each guest registers separately and needs an existing roommate), and a single room with a king bed and private bath. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served throughout the program. An on-site shuttle runs from secured parking to your room.
Before You Go
The retreat is open to all levels, with no prerequisites. Breathwork, restorative yoga, sound healing, and gentle movement are all offered at your own pace. The program is in English.
Included are the course fee, lodging in your chosen room type, all meals, the grounds fee, and the on-site shuttle. Taxes, optional massage or reiki sessions, and travel to and from Elohee are not included.
