How long does the work part of Temple Cleaning last?

The sitting runs 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by morning tea, and then the cleaning begins. Everything is scheduled to be finished by 1 p.m., so the work portion fills roughly the late morning and early afternoon.

Where does Temple Cleaning take place?

It takes place at the Auckland Zen Centre in Onehunga, Auckland. Because the cleaning covers the whole Centre, work happens both inside the building and outside around it.

What comes after Temple Cleaning on the Centre's calendar?

The Centre's New Year's Eve celebration, which this clean prepares for, comes later in the month. Before the cleaning, the calendar also lists a Buddha's Enlightenment event earlier in December.
