Description
Stories of Forgiveness is a one-day meditation and reflection retreat at Wisdom House Retreat & Conference Center in Litchfield, Connecticut. It is for anyone carrying an old hurt, a strained relationship or a weight they have not yet set down, and who wants to approach it in a quiet, prayerful and confidential setting. The day is led by Rev. Dr. Eileen Epperson, a Presbyterian minister and spiritual life-coach who focuses on forgiveness and communication.
What to Expect
The day runs from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM and is built around quiet reflection, prayerful conversation and spiritual renewal. The invitation is to listen deeply: to God, to one another, and to the wisdom within your own heart.
Participants share their stories gently, at their own pace. The premise of the day is that forgiveness is not about excusing the past or deciding who was right. It is an invitation to release what weighs upon the soul, receive God's healing grace, and open to a deeper freedom, peace and wholeness. The setting is described as welcoming and confidential, so the sharing happens in a protected space.
This is a Christian-rooted workshop in the spirit of contemplative practice, and it sits comfortably alongside the themes of healing, empathy and compassion.
