Yoga Retreat
Description
Soul Spark is a week-long yoga retreat at Soul House in Ahangama, on the south coast of Sri Lanka near Galle, led by Carla and Nina. It is an invitation to slow down, soften and come home to yourself, for anyone who wants a week of mindful movement, good food and time in nature rather than a packed programme.
The retreat runs for six nights and seven days, and its theme is the spark that has always been within you. Through movement, nourishing meals, time outdoors and meaningful connection, Carla and Nina create space to remember what truly lights you up and to reconnect with that spark.
What to Expect
The week is built around four things: mindful movement, nourishing food, time in nature and connection with the other people in the group. This is a yoga retreat in the gentler sense of the word. The emphasis is on softening, slowing down and listening, not on pushing toward a goal.
The retreat is called Soul Spark, and the idea behind it is simple. Most of us spend long stretches of life responding to everything outside us. A week set apart, with a steady rhythm and good company, gives room to notice what feels alive again and to take that awareness home.
Your Hosts
Carla and Nina lead the Soul Spark Yoga Retreat together. They shaped the week around the invitation to slow down, soften and come home to yourself, and they hold the space for the group throughout.
The Setting
The retreat takes place at Soul House in Ahangama, in the Galle district on Sri Lanka's south coast. Soul House is a retreat venue with a fully equipped yoga shala and Ayurvedic-inspired meals that are meant to nourish guests through the week. The surrounding coast and tropical landscape are part of the experience, and time in nature is woven into the retreat rather than left as an afterthought.
Before You Go
Soul Spark is open to people who want a restful, connected week of yoga and reflection in Sri Lanka. If you are weighing it up, the question to ask yourself is less about experience on the mat and more about whether you are ready to slow down and spend a week among people doing the same.
