Salt + Soul Women's Retreat (Session 2), Casa Verano Eterno

Salt + Soul is a small-group women's wellness retreat in Nosara, on the Guanacaste coast of Costa Rica, based at Casa Verano Eterno. Described as a jungle-to-ocean reset, it is made for women who are already doing the work of growing, through journaling, therapy and noticing, and who want to feel it in the body somewhere wild rather than read about it. This is Session 2 of two Salt + Soul sessions. The retreat is part of Roaming Sisterhood and is hosted by yoga teacher and somatic coach Heather Nichole.

What to Expect

The days mix movement, adventure and rest. Activities include kayaking and horseback riding, with chef-prepared meals and sound bath evenings to close the day. The aim is not to arrive somewhere finished. It is to put down the phone, step out of daily responsibilities, and spend a few days in your body among women who are still becoming too.

The group is intentionally small, between 10 and 15 women, never a crowd. Most guests come on their own, about 70 percent, and the retreat is built to turn strangers into friends quickly: a group chat opens before you travel, and shared meals and circles do the rest. Women often describe the nerves of arriving alone as lasting only until the first dinner.

About Heather Nichole

Heather Nichole is a yoga teacher, somatic coach, retreat leader and nervous system practitioner based in Temecula, California. She founded Roaming Sisterhood, small-group women's retreats in places such as Zion, Costa Rica, Thailand, Yosemite and Ireland, and she teaches breathwork, embodiment and mindful movement to women who want to come back to themselves.

Her work grows out of lived experience. She spent a decade as an award-winning destination photographer. Then a 20-year marriage ended and burnout cracked her open, and she rebuilt her life as a single mother of three. That period taught her that we don't heal by hustling, we heal by coming home to ourselves. Nervous system regulation, somatic coaching and adventure that returns a person to the body, not just the head, are what she found worked, and they are what she now shares. On retreat she describes her role as holding the container so that guests don't have to hold it all.

The Setting

Casa Verano Eterno sits in Nosara, on Costa Rica's Pacific side in Guanacaste, where jungle meets the sea. The retreat moves between the two, from the trails and horse paths inland to the water for kayaking. Meals are prepared by a chef.

Before You Go

You do not need to have anything figured out, and no prior experience is described as necessary. Guests are looked after from booking to home, with support around flights and packing along with the pre-trip group chat. Women who come alone are the norm here, not the exception.
