Description
Return to Self is a three-week online Ayurveda reset, a guided seasonal cleanse for anyone who wants more clarity, steadier energy and a calmer, more grounded way of living. It is rooted in Ayurveda, which the organizers describe as yoga's ancient sister science, and it combines simplified nourishment, breathwork, daily ritual, restorative movement and a guided kitchari cleanse. The program is led by Shanine Dennill, a Tantra yoga and meditation teacher, with Manish Trivedi, and it meets on Zoom, so you can take part from home.
The approach is gentle. The aim is to recalibrate body and mind without harsh restriction and without asking for perfection.
What to Expect
The reset unfolds in three weekly phases, each introduced in a live call on the Sunday evening before the week begins. Each call runs from 6:00 to 7:00 pm Eastern time.
Week 1, Prepare. You slow down enough to see where you are. Breathwork, gentle movement and supportive daily rituals help settle the body and mind and build a steady foundation for what follows.
Week 2, Realign. This is the heart of the reset. A guided kitchari cleanse, supported by breathwork, restoration and calming daily rituals, simplifies and nourishes the system so that excess can release and natural rhythm can return.
Week 3, Integrate. The practices become lived habits rather than things you do. You weave what you have learned into your daily rhythms, so the balance you have cultivated feels natural, supportive and embodied.
All live calls are recorded and available for replay, which is helpful if an evening does not fit your schedule.
About Shanine Dennill
Shanine Dennill is a Tantra yoga and meditation teacher whose specialty is bringing ritual and rest together. Through ritual, she says, we move into presence, devotion and consistency; through rest, we tap into deep stillness. Her work draws on Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Ayurveda, energy healing and time in nature, and she describes herself as a teacher, writer and nature lover.
Her spiritual path began young. Losing her grandfather and her father, and hearing of a person killed in her home country of South Africa, led her to question life and death and to read widely on spirituality and religion. She was introduced to yoga while studying massage therapy in 1999, moved to Canada in 2001, and enrolled in her first yoga teacher training after a colleague suggested she try yoga again. Her teacher encouraged her to volunteer at Carpenter Hospice, teaching restorative yoga to people with life-limiting illness.
Before You Go
Sessions take place live on Zoom, so you will need a device with a internet connection. The kitchari cleanse is part of the second week, so it helps to read through the program and plan your meals ahead of time. Replays of every call are provided.
