Description
Reset + Rise with Purpose is a Kundalini Goddess Ceremony held at the Yoga Life Centre in Eastbourne, East Sussex. It is an afternoon gathering for anyone drawn to Kundalini yoga, women's circles and ceremony who wants to begin the year with intention rather than pressure. It is led by a Kundalini Goddess teacher who holds ceremonies across the Sussex coast, including Eastbourne, Brighton, St Leonards and Hastings.
What to Expect
The ceremony runs from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The organizer describes it as a powerful Kundalini Goddess Ceremony in which the group attunes to the energies of the new year and activates them, with the theme of resetting and then rising with purpose.
Kundalini Goddess Ceremony is the format this teacher returns to again and again. Her Eastbourne offerings have included ceremonies for healing and rebirthing, and her wider calendar follows the moon and the turning seasons, with full moon, new moon, equinox and solstice gatherings. This one belongs to the start-of-year part of that rhythm: a time to clear what you are carrying and set a direction.
Expect a guided group experience in a shared room rather than a lecture or a drop-in class. Two hours leaves space for the ceremony to unfold at its own pace.
The Place
The Yoga Life Centre is at 25 South Street in Eastbourne, a dedicated yoga studio that this teacher has used for several of her Eastbourne ceremonies, courses and new moon gatherings. Because she returns to it regularly, it is a familiar home for her local community.
Before You Go
The organizer does not list any prerequisites, so there is no stated requirement for prior Kundalini experience. If you are new to the practice, it is reasonable to arrive a little early and tell the teacher, so she can look after you.
Wear clothes you can sit and move in comfortably. As with most ceremony and yoga gatherings, a layer for warmth and a bottle of water are sensible additions.
If the format appeals and you would like to know more about the teacher's work, she also teaches a weekly Kundalini class in St Leonards on Sea and leads Goddess retreats in Glastonbury and Malta.
