Ayurveda Retreat
Description
Panchakarma is a traditional Ayurvedic programme of cleansing and renewal, and this seven-night Panchakarma retreat takes place at Oneworld Ayurveda Ubud in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. It suits anyone who wants to give a full week to an Ayurveda retreat in a quiet corner of Bali, rather than fit a few treatments around a holiday.
Oneworld Ayurveda Ubud runs Panchakarma as a residential stay, with guests arriving on set programme dates through the year. This one is a seven-night stay, the shortest length the centre offers and a common choice for a first Panchakarma.
What to Expect
The programme is a Panchakarma cure, the Ayurvedic approach built around purification and the restoration of balance in body and mind. Over seven nights, you follow the centre's Ayurvedic programme rather than a self-directed holiday schedule. The week is meant to be given over to rest and treatment, so it helps to arrive with few other plans.
Oneworld Ayurveda also schedules Panchakarma in 14-night and 21-night stays, starting on the same dates as many of its seven-night programmes. If a week feels too short, a longer stay is possible on selected dates, subject to availability.
The Setting
The centre is in Ubud, in the central uplands of Bali, long known as a home for wellness practice, yoga and traditional healing. Staying at Oneworld Ayurveda Ubud means the whole week is spent in one place devoted to Ayurveda, without the daily travel and decisions of a typical trip.
Before You Go
Popular dates fill early, and the centre keeps a list for guests whose preferred dates are fully booked, contacting them if a place opens up.
Oneworld Ayurveda offers a 10% saving on Panchakarma stays of 7, 10, 14, 21 or 28 nights to Indonesian citizens and holders of a KITAS or KITAP residence permit. Terms and conditions apply, and the offer is open only to those groups.
For questions about suitability, health considerations or what to pack, it is best to ask the centre directly before you arrive, so your programme can be planned around you.
