Ayurveda Retreat
Description
Panchakarma 14 Nights is a two-week Ayurveda retreat at Oneworld Ayurveda Ubud, in Gianyar Regency, Bali. It suits anyone who wants to spend a fortnight on a structured Panchakarma program, a traditional Ayurvedic cleansing and healing treatment, in the setting of a dedicated Ayurveda centre near Ubud. The program is described by the centre as a healing program for taking your health into your own hands.
How the Stay Is Arranged
The 14-night program is one of several lengths offered at Oneworld Ayurveda Ubud. Stays of seven and 21 nights run alongside it, and the centre's offer for residents also refers to 10 and 28 nights. Start dates fall at weekly intervals through the year, so a two-week stay can begin at many points in the calendar. Fourteen nights can also be built from two consecutive weekly blocks, which is how the centre lays out its schedule.
Some weeks are held for private groups, each brought by its own group leader. These are separate from the open programs, and a week marked as a private group is not available to individual guests. Popular weeks do fill. If the dates you want are fully booked, the centre asks you to say so, and it will tell you if a place becomes available.
The Place
Oneworld Ayurveda is based in Ubud, in Gianyar Regency, in the interior of Bali. Ubud is the island's best-known centre for yoga, wellness and traditional healing, and the centre's focus is Ayurveda rather than general holiday stays. A fortnight gives time to settle into the program without hurrying it.
Before You Go
Choose the length of stay first, since the same program is offered in different durations, then check which start dates remain open. Fourteen nights is the middle option between the shorter week and the three-week stay.
Indonesian citizens and holders of a KITAS or KITAP residence permit are offered 10% off Panchakarma stays of 7, 10, 14, 21 or 28 nights. Terms and conditions apply, so it is worth asking the centre how the offer works for your dates.
Because Panchakarma is a medical-style Ayurvedic treatment, it is sensible to ask the centre directly about your health, any medication you take and what to prepare before you arrive.
