Mexico Mushroom Retreat

The Mexico Mushroom Retreat is a plant medicine retreat in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, built around psychedelic mushroom and wachuma ceremony with live, guided music. It is led by conscious music artist Shanin Blake, in partnership with Life Synergy Retreats, and it runs five nights and six days. The group is very small and places are limited, with an application step before deposits are placed so that both sides can see whether it is a good fit.

It suits people drawn to ceremony and sound, and who want to spend several days in the jungle and the cenotes with a close group rather than a crowd.

What to Expect

Ceremony is at the center: psychedelic mushroom and wachuma sessions, guided by music and by Shanin Blake and company, in a safe facility with professionals present. Around the ceremonies, the days are filled with other practices and play.

Shanin Blake is a conscious music artist whose work is described as "Music for the Heart": songs, retreats and experiences meant to help people reconnect with their truth. Alongside recorded and live music, Shanin hosts immersive retreats in places described as energetically charged, set up as intimate, retreat-style private concerts paired with ceremony. The Setting

The retreat is held on a jungle property in Playa del Carmen, which the host visited in person and called jaw dropping. The cenotes are a major part of the experience, used for sound baths and swimming.

There are two lodging choices: a stay at a hotel with a rooftop pool, or a room in the main house on the jungle property. All meals are included either way.
