Where can I practice with Kino around the Rishikesh Retreat if I miss it?

Her schedule continues after Rishikesh with Kuala Lumpur (Kino and Tim, March 11th-14th), Bali Mysore Season (March 16th-April 4th), and Taipei in April. Later 2027 stops include Boston, London, Zurich, Munich, Warsaw, and Torino.

Is the Rishikesh Retreat a good fit if I mainly want a weekend workshop?

Probably not. Kino's weekend-format events, such as Ashtanga Synthesis Weekend, Birmingham, or Boston, are shorter. Rishikesh is a week-long retreat, so it suits those who can set aside the full week and want sustained Ashtanga-focused study.

What should I know about Kino's teaching before attending?

Kino is an Ashtanga teacher and author, and she founded Omstars, an online platform for yoga. Familiarity with the Ashtanga method will help you follow the practice. Her schedule also includes a Yoga Drills Training, which indicates her interest in technical, skill-building instruction.

Common Questions

FAQs

The retreat is led by Kino MacGregor, an Ashtanga yoga teacher, author, and the founder of Omstars. Her teaching is rooted in the Ashtanga method, so expect that tradition to shape the practice.

The organizer's schedule lists it as a seven-day retreat, running from March 1st to March 7th, 2027. That makes it a full week of immersion rather than a weekend workshop like several of her other stops.

Her schedule lists Mysore Seasons (January and June, plus Bali in March) as multi-week blocks, up to about four weeks. The Rishikesh Retreat is a single-week program in a destination setting. If you want extended daily practice, the Mysore Seasons are the longer commitment.

The schedule only credits Kino for Rishikesh. Other events, such as Brazil, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, London, and Torino, are explicitly listed as 'Kino and Tim.' Check the booking page for any additional teachers.
