How is Preethaji's teaching connected to the Ekam Institute, and will that influence what I experience?

As co-founder of Ekam, Preethaji's teaching embodies the institute's synthesis of ancient wisdom and contemporary insight into consciousness—so you're encountering her lived philosophy, not a separate presentation. The event will carry the intellectual rigor and spiritual maturity that characterize Ekam's approach, meaning expect substantive engagement with Vedantic concepts rather than devotional singing or emotional release work.

What's the actual experience of being in a live satsang with Preethaji—is it mostly talking, or is there silent meditation time?

Satsang typically alternates between Preethaji's teaching/discourse and periods of meditative silence where her presence itself becomes the teaching—you're not passively listening but participating in an energetic transmission. Expect both her articulated wisdom and spacious silence, with the power often residing in the gap between words rather than in the instruction itself.

Does Preethaji teach practices I should prepare with beforehand, or is this event self-contained?

This event appears self-contained for the evening itself, though Preethaji's broader teaching at Ekam emphasizes self-inquiry and mindfulness as ongoing practices rather than techniques to 'prepare' with. You don't need prior practice experience, but coming with genuine curiosity about your own nature and openness to direct inquiry will serve you far more than any technique you might try to learn beforehand.

Common Questions

FAQs

Preethaji's approach uniquely bridges ancient Vedantic philosophy with contemporary understanding of consciousness—she's not primarily a meditation guide leading you through techniques, but a philosopher-sage who creates space for direct inquiry into the nature of self and existence. Her teaching style at Ekam emphasizes self-realization through understanding rather than practice accumulation, which means you'll encounter profound philosophical insights alongside meditative silence, not guided visualization or mantra repetition.

This is a satsang—a spiritual discourse and presence transmission rather than a structured meditation class. Preethaji will likely facilitate dialogue about consciousness, the self, and the nature of love as referenced in 'Causeless Love,' creating an environment where spiritual insight can arise through direct encounter with her presence and teaching.

Causeless Love points to love that arises from the nature of consciousness itself rather than from external conditions or objects—a central theme in Vedantic teaching that Preethaji explores. Expect an evening engaging with how love functions as a fundamental spiritual reality rather than an emotion dependent on circumstances, aligned with her teachings on self-realization at Ekam.

Yes—Preethaji teaches in a way accessible to genuine seekers regardless of background, though this is contemplative and inquiry-based rather than introductory. If you're drawn to deep philosophical exploration of consciousness and self rather than beginner-friendly spiritual wellness content, you'll find genuine depth; if you're looking for entry-level meditation instruction, this leans toward the advanced side.
