Yoga Teacher Training
Description
The 50 Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training at Noble in Noblesville, Indiana, is a ten-day program for people who want to deepen their yin practice and learn to teach it. It is a yoga teacher training in the quiet, long-hold style of yin yoga, and it leads to eligibility for Yoga Alliance certification as a Yin Yoga teacher. Dolly Reno, a 500-hour E-RYT, is the teacher leading it.
Yin yoga is a calming, thoughtful style, and this training treats it as something to understand as well as practice. It suits practitioners who already love yin and want to guide others through it, and teachers who want to add yin to what they offer.
What to Expect
The training covers the full range of the practice, from the foundations of Yin Yoga to advanced sequencing. You begin with its roots and its place among other styles of yoga, then move toward building classes that are coherent and well paced.
Much of the work is practical. You explore different ways of accessing a posture, using props, bolsters and modifications so that long holds are open to a wide range of bodies. Knowing how to adapt a shape is a large part of teaching yin well, and the program gives it real attention.
The study also includes:
- Integral anatomy, with a focus on connective tissue and the nervous system as they apply to yin
- Breathwork that supports the nervous system and helps students settle during a yin class
- Sequencing, so that a class has a clear arc from beginning to end
Across the 50 hours, the aim is a fuller understanding of a style that asks for stillness and patience, along with the tools to share it with students.
About Dolly Reno
Dolly Reno is a yoga teacher, a 500-hour E-RYT, and the founder of Noble, a yoga studio in Vernon, British Columbia, described as offering "Yoga for the Senses." What began for her as a recreational drop-in class many years ago grew into a paradigm shift in her values and spiritual identity.
She brings multi-disciplinary training and experience with trauma therapy to any opportunity where she can offer guidance, on or off the mat. She teaches with kindness and an unwavering belief that yoga is a journey of redefining what it means to be vulnerable, and of understanding vulnerability as something powerful and sincere rather than weak.
Dolly also leads yoga and wellness retreats as lead teacher, with daily yoga, meditation and time for rest. She welcomes students with an open heart.
Before You Go
This is a Yoga Alliance oriented program, designed to give you what you need to become a certified Yin Yoga teacher on completing the 50 hours. It is a good fit if you want a thorough grounding in yin, including the anatomy and breathwork behind it, rather than a quick introduction.
