Do I need to have completed a 200 Hour training before joining the 300 Hour course?

The organizer's page doesn't state prerequisites. Tattvaa does run its own 200 Hour training in Rishikesh, so ask them whether your existing certification qualifies when you apply. Have your 200 Hour certificate details ready.

Can I take the 200 Hour and 300 Hour trainings back to back at Tattvaa?

Some batches are scheduled with overlapping start dates, so the two courses can't always be taken consecutively in the same stretch. The 200 Hour runs 19 to 21 days depending on the batch, and the 300 Hour runs 23 to 25 days. If you want to do both in one trip, ask the organizer how they would sequence them and whether any combined arrangement exists.

Where does the training take place and how do I book a place?

The training is held at Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. To book, choose your batch on the Tattvaa Yogashala events calendar, select Apply, and choose your room type. The page doesn't list a deposit amount or payment schedule, so confirm those with the organizer after applying.

Description

The 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, is an advanced course for yoga teachers who want to deepen their practice and their teaching. Rishikesh is a town long associated with yoga, and the course is held at the school itself, Tattvaa Yogashala.

The training runs as a residential course of roughly three and a half to four weeks, depending on the batch. Batches run through the year, and recent ones have lasted between 23 and 25 days. Students choose between a shared room with one other person and a private room.

What to Expect

This is a full-time residential program, so the days are built around the training. Tattvaa Yogashala also teaches a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, a 100 Hour course taught in two parts, a 500 Hour course and a Master Level course. The 300 hour program sits in the middle of that ladder, and it follows the shorter foundation course. The school also offers Ashtanga-focused 300 hour trainings in Rishikesh, which are separate from this general Yoga Teacher Training and run on their own dates.

The material I have does not describe the daily timetable, the subjects covered or the teachers, so the details of the curriculum are best confirmed with the school when you apply.

The Setting

Tattvaa Yogashala is in Rishikesh, in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. The school also runs yoga retreats and teacher trainings in other places, including Bali, Goa, Kerala and Nepal, but this 300 Hour training takes place in Rishikesh.

Accommodation is offered in two forms: twin sharing, where you share a room with one other student, or a private room at a higher fee. Students who prefer quiet and their own space should choose the private option.

Before You Go

This is an advanced level course, so it suits people who have already completed a foundation teacher training, most commonly a 200 hour course. Applications are made through the school, and some batches fill up well ahead of time, so it is worth applying early if you have a particular month in mind.

Because the course is long, plan your travel to Rishikesh with a little time to settle in before the first day. Check the current batch dates and room options with Tattvaa Yogashala before you commit.
