Description
This 100-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh is a 12-day residential foundation course at Rishikul Yogshala, in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. It suits people who are new to yoga and want a structured start, and practitioners who want to deepen their practice before deciding on a full teacher training. The hours count towards the Yoga Alliance 200-hour certificate, so it can serve as the first part of a longer path.
The course is rooted in Hatha yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa, with pranayama, meditation, mantra chanting, mudras, yoga philosophy and anatomy alongside.
What to Expect
You live and study with the same small group for twelve days. Check-in is on the 6th of the month before 7 PM, the orientation and opening ceremony follow on the 7th at 2:00 PM, and check-out is on the 18th at 10:30 AM.
Days begin early with herbal tea at 5:30 AM, then Ashtanga yoga from 5:45 to 7:15, followed by pranayama. Breakfast comes at 8:30. Late morning holds mantra practice and a philosophy class, then lunch. The afternoon brings an adjustment and alignment session, a drink break and a Hatha yoga class from 4:15 to 5:45. Evenings include meditation from 6:00 to 7:00, dinner, an hour of self-study and lights off at 10:00 PM. Wednesday and Sunday are set aside for workshops, excursions, and rest and self-study.
