Robert Adams

Robert Adams

American advaita teacher and direct disciple of Ramana Maharshi. Born in New York City with the spontaneous capacity for samadhi, he traveled to India at seventeen and spent the last three years of Ramana's life with him. After decades of wandering, he settled in Los Angeles in the 1980s and held quiet satsangs with a small circle until his death from Parkinson's in 1997. His teachings — gathered in Silence of the Heart — point relentlessly to the Self as the only reality, and to self-inquiry as the most direct path home.
