About This Event

Description

Join us for a transformative yoga retreat designed specifically for women of color seeking community, healing, and connection. Held at the serene Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA, this intimate retreat celebrates the wisdom, resilience, and collective power of Black, Indigenous, and women of color practitioners. Led by experienced teachers Maya Breuer, Kiesha Battles, and Daisy Lee, this yoga retreat event in Stockbridge creates a sacred space where you can deepen your practice while honoring the unique experiences and perspectives of women of color in wellness spaces.

This yoga retreat welcomes you into an atmosphere of radical rest, authentic connection, and spiritual nourishment. Kiesha Battles, an accomplished yoga and breathwork teacher who has led numerous retreats and programs, brings her expertise in somatic healing and liberation practices. Maya Breuer and Daisy Lee—a traditionally trained Qigong teacher who blends ancestral wisdom with modern wellness—round out a teaching team committed to intersectional, culturally grounded instruction. Together, they've curated an experience that honors your whole self: body, mind, spirit, and the beautiful complexity of your identity.

What to Expect

From the moment you arrive in Stockbridge, you'll feel the shift toward intentional presence. Your day begins with grounding breathwork sessions designed to calm your nervous system and arrive fully to the retreat space. Moving through the morning, you'll flow through mindful asana practice led by Maya Breuer, building strength and awareness while honoring your body's unique needs. The teaching emphasizes accessibility and self-compassion—this is your practice, at your pace.

Midday brings nourishing meals and unstructured time to rest, journal, or simply be in nature on Kripalu's tranquil grounds. Afternoons feature Qigong practice with Daisy Lee, where you'll explore flowing movements that cultivate vitality, calm, and inner harmony through traditional Chinese teachings. Kiesha Battles leads evening sessions in breathwork and restorative yoga, creating the perfect wind-down before reflection circles where you can share with fellow participants. By retreat's end, you'll carry forward practices, friendships, and a renewed sense of belonging in wellness spaces designed for you.
