Yoga Workshop
Description
The Ashtanga Vinyasa System & Sound Immersion is a yoga workshop at the Trini Center in India, bringing together the traditional Ashtanga vinyasa method and immersive sound. It is led by Yotam Agam, a yoga teacher, musician and producer. It suits practitioners who want to study Ashtanga as a living system while letting sound shape how they practice and listen.
The gathering belongs to a series of Ashtanga and sound workshops that Yotam teaches in different countries. The Trini Center edition is the one held in India, and it runs for more than a week, long enough for the practice to settle in rather than being sampled in a single session.
About Yotam Agam
Yotam Agam is a yoga teacher, musician and producer who works along the thin line between sound and practice. He describes himself as a producer, recording artist, yoga and meditation facilitator and musician, and he develops guided and instrumental soundscapes.
His path began on the mat. "From the moment I stepped on the mat, it all made sense," he writes on his Insight Timer teacher page, where he says he has studied, practiced and shared the mat for over 15 years. His teaching is inspired by traditional Ashtanga: a soft and gentle flow, wrapped and driven by sounds and rhythms he composes for each class.
What began as a short physical practice, in his words, took over all aspects of his life. He expresses gratitude and respect for the gurus and the people along his journey who keep inspiring him, and he sees sharing and teaching as going hand in hand with spiritual growth.
