Description
Rooted Unfurling is a three-hour plant medicine ceremony held live on Zoom, designed to help you close out the year, release what is ready to end, and plant the first seeds of what you want to grow in the year ahead. Blue lotus, often called the "third eye flower," is the guiding plant throughout. It is written for women who do not want high-performance New Year messaging and are looking instead for depth, presence, ritual, and soul alignment.
The ceremony is led by Stephanie Burg, a breathwork facilitator, somatic healing and embodiment guide, and steward to plant medicines. It meets online, so you can take part from wherever you have a quiet, private space.
What to Expect
This is an earth-honoring, nature-based ritual that follows the shape of a natural cycle. It runs from noon to 3:00 PM Eastern and moves through five movements:
- Opening and grounding in the natural cycle of the year
- Reflection on the year that is completing
- Release of what is ready to fall away
- Envisioning and planting the first seeds of the year ahead
- Closing the circle
The pace is slower than a typical goal-setting workshop. Rather than building a list of resolutions, you spend the time looking back, letting go, and setting early intentions, with blue lotus as the plant ally for the work.
About Stephanie Burg
For over a decade, Stephanie Burg has offered women spaces and tools to free themselves from trauma, past conditioning, old storylines, and everything the world tells them they "should" or "shouldn't" be. She is a trauma-informed, Certified Integrative Health and Transformational Life Coach, a breathwork facilitator, and a somatic healing and embodiment guide. She also facilitates retreats and Sacred Circles internationally, and she is a steward to plant medicines.
Before You Go
The ceremony is held in English. No prior experience requirement is stated, and the ritual is oriented toward women who want a ritual-based way to mark the end of the year.
There are two ways to take part. The ceremony alone gives you live access to the three-hour Zoom gathering and its guided structure for release and envisioning. The ceremony with the Ritual Care Package adds four hand-selected plant medicines: two for use during the ceremony and two for integration afterward, so the work continues once the circle closes. The package comes with preparation guidance and is sent ahead of time so you can set up your space, make your tea, and feel supported when the ceremony begins. It needs to be ordered early enough to arrive before the event.
A small service fee is added at checkout for either option. The care package is not part of the ceremony-only option.
