Healing Workshop
Description
Rhythm and Resilience is a healing workshop led by Nurjahan Boulden at the Art of Living Retreat Center in North Carolina. It runs over three days as one of the Center's guest presenter programs. Its invitation is plain: celebrate your body, release trauma, and reclaim joy. It suits anyone who wants a body-centered trauma healing workshop in a quiet, supported setting, and who is drawn to the idea that joy and resilience can be rebuilt through the body as well as the mind.
What to Expect
The workshop is built around three themes: honoring the body, releasing trauma, and returning to joy. Nurjahan Boulden guides the weekend as a guest teacher, so the program is shaped by her approach rather than by the Center's own faculty. It is a short, contained gathering, long enough to settle in and let the work unfold, and brief enough to fit into a weekend away.
Because the Center hosts retreats focused on stillness, breath and meditation, the surroundings tend to be calm. Guests come to step out of ordinary routine and give their attention to their own wellbeing.
The Setting
The Art of Living Retreat Center sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, a landscape the Center describes as quiet and restorative. It is a full retreat center rather than a rented hall, with a year-round calendar of Ayurveda programs, meditation, yoga, and indoor and outdoor activities. A guest presenter weekend like this one takes place within that wider rhythm of rest and practice, which suits work that asks you to slow down and feel.
The Center welcomes solo travelers, couples and friends, so coming alone to a workshop of this kind is entirely ordinary. Programs here are generally residential, and the Center offers guests a place to stay on site.
Before You Go
The workshop is open to people at any stage of their healing, and no particular experience or prerequisite is listed. If you are weighing whether it is right for you, consider what the title and tagline ask of you: attention to your body, willingness to meet difficult feelings, and room for joy. Come with comfortable clothing and an open, unhurried mind.
For questions about accommodations, meals, arrival, and what is included, the Center's team can answer them directly, as they do for all of their retreats and guest programs.
