Retreat Yourself 5, 6 or 7 nights at Suryalila

Retreat Yourself is a yoga retreat at Suryalila Retreat Centre in Villamartín, Cádiz, Spain, where you choose a stay of five, six or seven nights and shape it to suit you. It is led by the Suryalila Inhouse Teachers and is for anyone who wants daily yoga, good food and time in nature without following a fixed group programme.

Unlike the guided, themed retreats held at Suryalila through the year, this one has no set schedule built around a single teacher or topic. You design your own wellness retreat, and the centre's team provides the framework around you.

What to Expect

Daily yoga is the thread running through every stay. Around it, the days are yours to arrange. You can keep things simple, with yoga, meals, walks and unhurried rest, or add more as the mood takes you.

The retreat is built from a few elements:

- Daily yoga with the Suryalila Inhouse Teachers
- Organic vegetarian meals
- Holistic treatments
- Time in nature and time to simply rest and recharge

For those who want more, optional add-ons are available for greater activity, adventure, healing or deeper immersion. You choose the experiences that suit you best, so a quiet restorative week and a more active one can look quite different, even under the same roof.

Because you pick between five, six and seven nights, the retreat also works for people who cannot take a full week away. It suits solo travellers who want a restful base, and anyone who would rather set their own pace than follow a group timetable.

Your Teachers

The yoga is taught by the Suryalila Inhouse Teachers, the resident team at the retreat centre. They are listed as musicians as well as teachers. Because you join their daily classes as part of your own stay, you practise with people who know the centre and its rhythm well.

The Setting

Suryalila Retreat Centre is in Villamartín, in the province of Cádiz in Andalusia, southern Spain. The surrounding landscape includes Andalusia's natural parks, which is why so many of the centre's retreats combine yoga with time outdoors. Meals are organic and vegetarian, and the emphasis throughout is on nature, rest and a slower pace than most of us keep at home.

Before You Go

Nothing in the retreat's description asks for previous experience, and the format is flexible by design, so it can suit people at different levels who want daily yoga as part of a wider restful stay. Treatments and add-ons are optional extras that you can choose to include, so it helps to decide how full or how quiet you want your days to be before you arrive.
