Description
Imagine waking to sunlight filtering through olive groves, moving your body in mindful practice, then spending the afternoon learning to prepare nourishing Indian food with your own hands—not as a task to rush through, but as a sacred act of presence. Nourish is a week-long yoga and culinary retreat designed for those ready to slow down, tune in, and remember what it feels like to inhabit their lives fully.
Held at the award-winning Suryalila Retreat Centre nestled in the hills of Villamartín, Cádiz, this retreat weaves together three threads: the movement and breath work of yoga, the meditative practice of cooking, and the restorative silence of the Andalusian countryside. Rather than packing the week with intensity, Nourish creates spaciousness—time to wander, rest, and let the natural rhythms of the land work on you. Whether you arrive seeking deeper spiritual practice, a break from digital overwhelm, or simply permission to slow down, this retreat meets you where you are.
The landscape itself becomes your teacher. The rolling hills of southern Spain, with their particular light and quiet, frame each day's practice in ways that no studio ever could. This is nourishment as it was meant to be: deliberate, embodied, and deeply human.
What to Expect
Each day unfolds with intention and spaciousness. Mornings begin with yoga sessions that honor both the body's needs and the stillness of early light. Mid-day brings a transition into the kitchen, where you'll learn to prepare authentic Indian cuisine—not as a cooking class, but as a practice in presence, rhythm, and care. Afternoons and evenings offer time to rest, walk the countryside, journal, or simply be.
You'll experience:
- Morning yoga practice grounded in breath, alignment, and meditation
- Afternoon culinary sessions learning to prepare nourishing Indian dishes from scratch
- Unstructured time for wandering, reflection, and restoration
- Shared meals where the food you've prepared becomes an offering to yourself and others
- The landscape of Andalusia as an active part of your healing and renewal
By week's end, you'll have not only deepened your yoga practice and learned practical culinary skills—you'll have reconnected with the art of slowing down, and tasted what it means to nourish yourself with intention.
