Description
Imagine stepping into a room and speaking or singing from a place of genuine freedom—where your authentic voice emerges without strain, self-doubt, or the weight of old patterns holding you back. This three-day immersive workshop at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA invites you to reclaim that natural expression and discover the confidence that lives on the other side of fear.
Led by master voice coach Claude Stein, The Natural Voice is a breakthrough experience designed for anyone who has felt blocked, strained, or disconnected from their own speaking and singing presence. Whether you're a therapist seeking to deepen your facilitation presence, a coach refining your public speaking impact, a spiritual practitioner wanting to unlock your capacity for kirtan or chanting, or simply someone ready to reclaim self-expression—this workshop meets you where you are. You'll work with diaphragmatic breathing exercises, vocal technique, and expressive practices that dissolve both physical and emotional barriers, leaving you with practical skills and lasting inner confidence.
Held November 13–15, 2026, at Kripalu Center's serene campus in the Berkshires, this workshop is framed within the gentle rhythms of daily yoga classes, nourishing meals, and access to the beautiful grounds. The combination of rigorous vocal work, breathwork, and the sanctuary of Kripalu's healing environment creates a container where real transformation can unfold.
What to Expect
Over three days, you'll move through a carefully sequenced curriculum that builds from foundational breath awareness to expressive freedom. Each day opens with yoga, followed by group vocal and breathing sessions where Claude guides you through techniques that release tension and open your authentic tone. You'll receive individual attention within the group setting, so whether you're a complete beginner or refining your presence, you'll find the right edge of challenge and support.
The work addresses the root causes of vocal strain and self-consciousness: shallow breathing patterns, throat tension, inherited beliefs about your voice, and the fear of being heard. Through somatic practice, guided exploration, and peer support, participants leave with tangible tools they can use immediately—in presentations, ceremonies, daily conversation, or performance. Many therapists, coaches, and facilitators attend to integrate these practices into their professional work.
