About This Event

Description

This four-day in-person HSP Practitioner and Coach Training in London is a healing certification for people who work with highly sensitive clients. It is led by Jules De Vitto, founder of the Highly Sensitive Human Academy, with Simone Da Costa as supporting facilitator, and takes place at the House of Transformation. The training draws on current research on sensory processing sensitivity, transpersonal and integrative psychology, parts work and trauma-informed practice, and it is built around hands-on practice rather than lecture.

It follows more than four years of the academy's online Highly Sensitive Person Coach Training, taught to practitioners in over a dozen countries. This is the first time those frameworks are taken into a shared room.

What to Expect

The training runs Thursday to Sunday, 9.00am to 5.00pm each day, with a deliberately small group so that everyone receives real attention. You will coach, be coached, facilitate, and receive direct feedback on your actual work, mostly in pairs and triads. Each day has reflection time built in, including opening and closing circles and journalling prompts.

The four days move through a clear arc:

- Foundations: the science and soul of high sensitivity, and an introduction to the HSH integrative coaching framework.
- Process and practice: parts work for highly sensitive people, trauma-informed practice, nervous system regulation and co-regulation, and coaching practice with feedback.
- Presence and imagery: attunement, discernment and the art of holding space, shadow work, and guided process, meditation and imagery.
- Groups and integration: holding space for groups, communication, needs and healthy boundaries, and a closing circle.

Some material is familiar from the online course but is experienced differently in person. Other ground is new, including in-person practices, group facilitation, and working with imagery in client sessions. The full schedule is shared with participants beforehand, and content may be refined as the group takes shape.

About Jules De Vitto

Jules De Vitto is the founder of the Highly Sensitive Human Academy and an accredited coach, trainer and educator. She is highly sensitive herself, and has written that she spent years misreading her sensitivity as a flaw before learning to work with it. Her background includes primary school teaching, ten months at a retreat centre in Portugal supporting people with addiction and burnout, and teaching across three countries. She holds a BSc in Psychology, an MA in Education and an MSc in Transpersonal Psychology. Her work focuses on nervous system regulation, boundaries and ending people-pleasing, through a transpersonal and integrative lens.

About Simone Da Costa

Simone Da Costa is a certified HSP Coach, Integrative Psychotherapist, facilitator, author, and yoga and meditation teacher. Her training is in Core Process Psychotherapy, which brings together Buddhist psychology and Western psychodynamics. She contributes a somatic and mindfulness-based perspective and an added layer of therapeutic grounding.

The Setting

The training is held at the House of Transformation in London, England. Travel, accommodation and meals are not included. A list of nearby accommodation options is shared with participants once they have registered.

Before You Go

The training is designed for three groups: graduates of the online HSP Certification who want live practice, people considering the online coaching training who want to try the work first, and practitioners from adjacent fields such as therapy, bodywork, coaching and meditation teaching. It is taught in English.

Participants receive a certificate as an HSP Informed-Practitioner. The training is accredited for 40 professional development hours through the Association of Coaching, and the hours can count towards full certification as an HSP Practitioner or HSP Coach, or replace some required pro bono coaching hours. If you need to clarify how this applies to you, the organizers invite you to get in touch.

Included are the four days of live training, structured coaching practice with feedback, group facilitation skills, complete materials (assessment forms, mapping sheets, process handouts, meditation and coaching scripts, and reference sheets), reflection time, and access to a professional community of practitioners.
