Description
The Glastonbury Goddess Retreat is a spring Kundalini yoga and women's retreat held at the Avalon Rooms, Goddess House, in Glastonbury, Somerset, England. It is called The Becoming, and it is built around healing, Kundalini Yoga, ceremony and sisterhood. It is for women who feel ready to set down what they have been carrying and begin a new path, in a town long associated with goddess spirituality and the legend of Avalon.
What to Expect
The retreat brings together four threads: healing work, Kundalini Yoga, ceremony and time in the company of other women. Kundalini Yoga is a practice of breath, movement, sound and meditation, and here it sits alongside ceremony rather than standing apart from it. The theme throughout is becoming: leaving behind an old way of being and creating a new path in its place.
It takes place in spring, a season of beginnings, and the retreat is shaped around that sense of renewal.
The Setting
The gathering is held in the Avalon Rooms at Goddess House in Glastonbury, a town in Somerset known for its spiritual community and its landscape of legend, which gives the retreat its sense of place.
Before You Go
This is a residential-style retreat weekend in a small-group, women-centred setting. The Glastonbury Goddess Retreat has sold out in earlier editions, so it is worth planning ahead if you want to attend.
