Is there a John Van Auken book worth reading before attending?

His best-known title is Toward a Deeper Meditation, and it's a good fit if you want to understand how he approaches inner stillness and attunement. His teaching draws on the Edgar Cayce readings, so that background helps if you're new to the A.R.E. world. Reading it is optional, as the event listing doesn't require any preparation.

Who is this evening likely to suit, and who might it not suit?

It suits people drawn to the Cayce tradition, spiritual exploration or the idea of communication beyond death. It may not suit anyone who wants a private, guaranteed one-on-one reading, since the listing promises neither. Anyone looking for a scientific or skeptical analysis of mediumship may also find it a poor fit.

How do I get tickets or register?

The event appears among the featured events on A.R.E.'s Edgar Cayce Events page, where you can find its listing and registration. The material provided doesn't give a ticket price or say whether it is sold out. Check the listing for current availability or contact A.R.E. directly.

Description

Gallery Style Mediumship – Whiskers Between Worlds is an evening of gallery-style mediumship at the VA Beach Headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia. It is part of the Edgar Cayce Events program and suits anyone curious about spirit communication, whether you come hoping for a message or simply want to witness a mediumship gathering in person.

What to Expect

The evening runs from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, two hours in the early evening. In a gallery-style mediumship event, the medium works with the room as a whole rather than offering private readings, so the evening is shared among everyone present. This is one in a series of gallery-style mediumship evenings held at the headquarters, which share the "Between Worlds" theme. The organizer's listing for this one carries the title "Whiskers Between Worlds."

The Setting

The event takes place at the VA Beach Headquarters in Virginia Beach, the home base for Edgar Cayce Events. The same program also offers events at other locations around the country, but this evening is held at the Virginia Beach headquarters.

Before You Go

The evening is a single session, so there is no multi-day commitment and no prior experience is needed to attend. Arriving a little before 6:30 PM will help you settle in before the evening begins.
