Common Questions

FAQs

The organizer describes the evening as a celebration of the birth of Christ Consciousness within each person, rather than only a historical remembrance. That framing fits Yogaville's interfaith approach, so expect a devotional service that treats Christmas as an inner, spiritual event. The organizer's page does not give a detailed order of service.

Yes, the event includes festive carols alongside the devotional service. The organizer does not publish a song list or say whether lyrics will be provided, so it is best to contact them if you want specifics.

It takes place in the Sivananda Satsang Hall at Yogaville (Satchidananda Ashram) in Buckingham, Virginia. The organizer's page links to a Google Map for directions. The ashram is a rural retreat community, so check the map ahead of time.

The page does not set any requirement. It presents Christmas as the birth of Christ Consciousness within each of us, which suggests an inclusive spiritual spirit. It is a devotional service, so it suits people open to prayer, chanting or reflective worship, and may not suit those looking for a purely secular holiday event.
