Spiritual Workshop
Description
Bodhi Moment: Making Friends with Our Emotions is a 2.5-hour spiritual workshop in Cork, led by instructors from Rigpa Cork. It offers a contemplative approach to Buddhist wisdom, using meditation, compassion and contemplation practices to work with the emotions of everyday life. It suits anyone who wants more kindness, resilience and emotional steadiness, and a way of relating to feelings that is less guarded.
What to Expect
The morning runs from 10:30 to 13:00 at Brú Columbanus in Wilton, Cork. The workshop is built on the idea that we can feel far more than we usually allow ourselves, and that our emotions carry their own intelligence. Guided meditation gives practical tools for meeting moments of stress, frustration, anger and disappointment, as well as the sense of being disconnected from the people we love.
Bodhi Moments are short workshops, and this one has room for shared reflection. You explore the practices, then talk about your own experience with others, guided by the Rigpa Cork instructors. The underlying thought is simple: when we feel able to be there for ourselves, meaningful connection with others tends to follow.
For those who want to go further, the Open Heart course continues the theme on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, also at Brú Columbanus. It explores how meditation can bring more emotional ease and mental clarity, through a sequence of simple steps.

Before You Go

It is presented as an introduction to bringing Buddhist meditation and compassion practices into emotional life, so newcomers are welcome to come with curiosity and an open mind.
