Description
The 200 Hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training at Tattvaa Yogashala in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, is a yoga teacher training for people who want to study yoga in the town long associated with it. This page is the application route into the course. It is a registered yoga school (RYS) that has been teaching since May 2012, and its teaching draws on multi-style yoga and Ashtanga.
The school is led by its founder, Yogi Kamal Singh, and sits in Swarg Ashram, close to Ram Jhula.
How to Apply
One application form covers every course and retreat at the Rishikesh location, so you begin by choosing where you would like to study, and the courses shown change with that choice. The form takes about two minutes. No payment is taken at the application stage, and the team aims to reply within 48 hours, by email or WhatsApp.
The form is also where you request accommodation. Two options can be selected:
- Couple sharing: shared accommodation for two people.
- Private room: a private room for one guest.
The school offers an early bird discount of 10% for those who enrol three months before the start date. If you have questions about the course before applying, the team is happy to answer them.
The Teachers
Yogi Kamal Singh is the founder of Tattvaa Yogashala. The school's teaching team also includes Swami Omkarananda, who teaches psychokinesis and psychic healing, Sunil Sharma Ji, a pranayama and meditation teacher, and Yogi Upendra Ji, a highly qualified yoga teacher. The school describes its teachers as authentic, and its students often comment on the depth of the training and the quality of the ashram atmosphere. The school holds a rating of 4.66 from 205 reviews on its registry profile, and a 4.9 rating across several hundred reviews on other platforms.
Getting to the School
Tattvaa Yogashala is in Swarg Ashram, near Ram Jhula, Rishikesh. There are three common ways to arrive:
- Fly to Dehradun: the quickest route from Delhi is a domestic flight to Dehradun Airport (DED), then a pre-booked taxi of about 45 minutes to the school.
- Private taxi from Delhi: the journey takes 5 to 6 hours, and suits late-night arrivals or anyone travelling with luggage.
- Train via Haridwar: the train from Delhi takes 4 to 5 hours, followed by about 30 minutes by taxi to Swarg Ashram.
Before You Go
Airport pickup is available, but it is charged separately from the course fee and is not part of the course. Since the application is free and carries no payment obligation, it is a low-risk way to ask about dates, accommodation and arrival plans before committing to anything.
