Spirit Guidance Needs Your Yes: How to Turn the Receiver On

SC
Sonia Choquette

From Sonia Choquette

Watch · 8

It is 5:00 in the morning, and Sonia Choquette is sitting somewhere in Mexico, traveling, a little congested, speaking straight into a phone camera with the easy urgency of someone who has just been woken and has no intention of going back to sleep. Her guides, she says, roused her about an hour before she hit record, with instructions that the message could not wait. The video that follows, titled in its YouTube form as a message from her spirit guides, is a roughly twenty-two-minute teaching on a single proposition: guidance is always available, but it only reaches people who ask for it, allow it, and are willing to hear something other than what their habitual mind has already decided. Choquette builds that proposition out of practical instructions, a breathing exercise, a warning about the ego, and a short story about a woman whose one small yes changed the direction of her working life.

Seen in the abstract, this is familiar territory for anyone who has followed the spiritual teacher's tradition of channeled messages and intuitive counsel. What makes this particular talk worth slowing down for is how specific its mechanics are. Choquette is not asking viewers to believe in a particular cosmology before they can benefit. She is describing a sequence: name what you want help with, make yourself available, take in a new impulse, say yes, and then claim it out loud. Read closely, it is a framework for attention that happens to be framed in the language of angels and guides. This article walks through that framework as she presents it, because the ideas hold up as a standalone practice whether or not you already share her vocabulary.

Why does Sonia Choquette say loneliness is the central problem?

The talk opens with a diagnosis that is blunt enough to set the tone. In the video, Choquette says: "The number one problem on this planet is that people feel lonely and disconnected and isolated and overwhelmed." She singles out men as especially affected, arguing that women have at least had some capacity to stay emotionally connected. Her point is less about gender than about the mechanism she believes sits underneath the loneliness: disconnection from one's own spirit, from one's guides, and from the flow of energy in the world and in the people around you.

This is the hinge of the whole teaching. For Choquette, the reason people fail to create the lives they want is not primarily a lack of effort or information. It is that they are cut off from the channel through which support arrives, and so they keep repeating the same unhappy patterns. Her remedy begins with a question she asks the viewer to answer honestly: do you have any capacity to accept that you are loved, supported, and guided, even if you are not having that experience right now? She does not require a yes. She asks only whether the possibility can be imagined.

She also names an emotional response she has heard from many listeners. Some people, she says, tell her they do not feel supported, do not experience guidance, and do not believe it. Their agitation, in her reading, comes from the sense that everyone else is at a party they were not invited to. It is a useful image because it locates the problem in the feeling of exclusion rather than in any failure of the universe to show up. Once you see the agitation as a signal about isolation, the next step becomes obvious: reconnect.

How do spirit guides actually communicate, according to this teaching?

The central metaphor in the talk is a radio. Choquette describes guidance as a broadcast that is always running, the way a station keeps transmitting whether or not anyone is listening. "It's like you have this channel available," she says, "but unless you dial into it, you're going to miss out all the support that's there." Her shorthand is the instruction to turn the receiver on.

She is precise about the terms of engagement, and this is where the teaching has more backbone than a generic reassurance. Her guides, she says, cannot help without a request and permission. She makes one exception: each person has a guardian angel who oversees their life and does what it can to keep them safe without interfering with free will or conscious availability. Everything beyond that protective presence depends on you inviting it in. If you are, in her words, "checked out, tuned out, numbed out, unaware," you will miss the message the way a listener misses a broadcast when the radio is switched off.

The form of guidance is equally important, and here Choquette's account is notably unromantic about spectacle. Guides, she says, rarely speak in words. They give a push, a vibe, a feeling. The description accompanying the video puts it more vividly, comparing guidance to something "as light as butterfly wings on your cheek," and noting that it often points somewhere completely different from where your logical mind wants to go. That last detail is the one most practitioners will recognize from their own lives: the nudge that seems inconvenient, the sudden impulse to take a different road, the hunch you talk yourself out of.

What is the breathing practice Choquette teaches, and why does she call empty the new light?

Around the five-minute mark, the talk shifts from theory into practice, and Choquette leads the viewer through a breath. Inhale through the nose and, in her instruction, imagine breathing in through the heart as well. Pause. Then exhale slowly, and as you do, empty the negativity, the fears, the thoughts, the resentments, the hurt, and the wounds, as if you were emptying a garbage can. She suggests doing this five or six times, and says that practicing two or three times a day is enough to make a difference.

The logic is simple and, in its way, persuasive. Guidance needs somewhere to land. A mind crowded with grievance and fear has no free space to receive a subtle impulse, so the breath is a way of making room. Choquette draws the contrast with a familiar cultural slogan. A few years ago, she notes, the conversation was about light being the new black, a desirable state to be in. "Empty is the new light," she says. Emptying the garbage, emptying what is holding on to you, becomes the precondition for everything else. She compares the sticky, clinging quality of negative states to flypaper, and the release of the breath as the moment they come unstuck.

It is worth noting how modest this practice is. It requires no equipment, no particular belief, and no ceremony beyond a few slow exhales. That modesty is part of the point. Choquette is not offering a dramatic opening experience; she is offering a repeated habit of clearing, which she frames as the groundwork for listening.

What are the steps to receiving guidance?

Choquette lays out a sequence that she keeps returning to, and it is clearer if you lay it out as a list. The talk's logic runs roughly like this:

  • Become aware that you have guides at all, and be open to the idea that they are actively involved in your life.
  • Name the area where you want guidance. She is explicit that you should put it into words, even as a comment on the video, so that you are acknowledging it to yourself.
  • Check your availability. Are you willing to consider something different from what you are already doing?
  • Clear the channel with the breath, so that a faint impulse has room to register.
  • Give the impulse some weight. If you get a vibe or an urge, consider it rather than dismissing it at once.

She is also candid about where the resistance usually comes from, and this is the part of the talk that gives it its psychological weight.

Why does the ego brain push back against new guidance?

Choquette argues that guidance is almost always something other than what you are doing now, and that this difference is exactly what makes it hard to accept. The logical mind, which she calls the ego brain, resists anything unfamiliar. It wants to keep doing what it has already set up, partly because it prefers predictability, even when the pattern is plainly not working. She invokes the familiar adage that insanity is repeating the same action and expecting a different result, and she applies it directly to the viewer's habits.

The sharpest version of her point comes in her description of how guides experience our resistance. They are, she says, sitting around thinking, "I've tried this way, this way, this way, this way. Nobody's listening." Her account of this block is compassionate rather than scolding. When you are wounded, hurt, or upset, she suggests, your reflex is to say "shut up, leave me alone, I don't want to hear it," because you are afraid of being disappointed again. Her proposed counter is a small one: let yourself consider, at least, when an impulse arrives. You do not have to act on every hunch. You only have to stop refusing to hear it.

There is a practical wisdom in that concession. Much of the work of receptivity is not dramatic surrender but a willingness to hold a new possibility for a moment before the old reflex closes the door.

How do "yes, thank you" and naming your guidance work together?

The talk ends its practical instructions with two gestures that Choquette presents as the simplest and most powerful. The first is a pair of words. When guidance comes, she advises, respond with "yes, thank you." She frames this as the thing that opens you to a flood of supportive insights, a way of telling the channel that the line is open and the message is welcome. Even a faint sign, such as a sudden impulse to slow down your car, can be met with this response.

The second is the act of naming. Choquette says that when you name the guidance you want, out loud, you claim it. Naming is what turns a vague wish into a request the guides can act on, and it is what converts a passing feeling into an intention you have taken ownership of. The instruction is continuous with her earlier point that guides cannot help without your request and permission. Speaking the request is the permission.

What does the story of the woman who said yes show?

Choquette illustrates all of this with a story, and it is the most concrete part of the talk. A woman, as Choquette tells it, had long been doing a lot of work for her friends: painting, nails, wood, the kind of practical home-making tasks people help one another with. She mentioned that she was just helping a friend, but that she loved the design center. Choquette presents the turning point as a moment of guidance to say yes, and the woman does. The transcript available for this article breaks off before the ending, so the specific career that followed is not described here. What the segment does establish is the shape of the story: a small, unglamorous acceptance of a nudge, which Choquette says led the woman through a door to a dream career.

The lesson is the one the whole talk has been building toward. The yes did not have to be grand. It had to be available, and it had to be spoken. Choquette's framing makes the step feel ordinary rather than heroic, which may be why it lands: most people who are waiting for a sign are, in fact, already being offered small ones.

What should a reader take from Sonia Choquette's teaching?

The most useful way to hold this video is as a set of working instructions rather than a verdict on the existence of guides. Whatever you make of the metaphysics, the practices are concrete. Name where you want help. Notice the habits that keep you from listening. Breathe to empty, and say "yes, thank you" when a hunch arrives. The talk's emotional core is its insistence that loneliness and disconnection are the real obstacles, and that reconnecting, even in small steps, is the first move.

Choquette ends on the idea that naming is claiming, and it is a fitting place to leave the viewer. Her teaching asks very little of you in material terms and a great deal in attention. It asks you to stay available, to let the new possibility in, and to speak your yes out loud.

Where to go from here

If this teaching speaks to you, begin small. Choose one area where you want guidance, write it down or say it aloud, and practice the breath for a few minutes two or three times a day. Watch for the faint impulses that arrive, and when one does, respond with "yes, thank you," then give it honest consideration before deciding. The video description also points to Choquette's free ebook, Signs From Your Guides, which she describes as a way to discover the types of guides supporting you and recognize their signs in everyday life, and to her masterclass on connecting with that support team. Both are offered by Choquette herself and are worth exploring on their own terms.

Keep the practice simple. The talk's most durable advice is not any single technique but the habit of turning the receiver on, again and again, and noticing what comes through.

[0:00] Hi everybody. It's 5:00 a.m. in the

[0:03] morning. Um, I'm traveling right now.

[0:05] Now I'm in Mexico and my guides woke me

[0:08] up about an hour ago and said that it

[0:11] was really important to share this

[0:13] message with with my YouTube family

[0:17] about the importance and even the

[0:20] urgency of allowing yourself to change

[0:24] your perceptions of life and really

[0:28] begin to be available to the divine

[0:31] support and guidance that that you have

[0:35] as a divine being. The number one

[0:38] problem on this planet is that people

[0:40] feel lonely and disconnected and

[0:43] isolated and overwhelmed and and it's

[0:46] it's even worse for men. I mean, women

[0:49] have at least had some capacity to stay

[0:52] emotionally connected, but you're the

[0:55] messages from the guides is that this

[0:57] has to stop. You know, our our weakest

[1:01] energy happens when we're alone. our

[1:04] lack of being isolated and not connected

[1:07] first to your spirit, your spirit

[1:10] support system, your guides and and the

[1:13] flow of energy in the world and people

[1:15] in your life that are in the same

[1:17] vibration is why we aren't creating

[1:19] lives we want. It's why we get stuck in

[1:22] really unhappy scenarios. So today is

[1:25] the day to stop that. So the first step

[1:30] is to ask yourself and just ask yourself

[1:33] right now, do you have any capacity to

[1:38] accept that you really are loved and

[1:42] supported and guided even if you're not

[1:45] having that direct experience right now?

[1:49] Can you possibly

[1:51] imagine

[1:53] that that might be available to you?

[1:55] It's just like that you have this

[1:57] channel that works. You just have to

[1:59] turn the receiver on. It's like you have

[2:02] it's like having having this channel

[2:05] available, but unless you dial into it,

[2:07] you're going to miss out all the support

[2:09] that's there.

[2:11] So, that's the first step. You know,

[2:14] it's interesting. A lot of people have

[2:16] said to me, you know, I'm not feeling

[2:18] it. I don't experience it. I don't

[2:20] believe it. And they're they're they're

[2:22] agitated. And it's because you're

[2:24] feeling like it's like everybody's

[2:26] having a party and you're not invited.

[2:29] So, we have to change that. Now, what I

[2:33] want you to do right now is I want you

[2:35] to start thinking about where you want

[2:37] guidance. Like you can even pause right

[2:41] now and and go to the places of pain or

[2:45] frustration or overwhelm or or things

[2:48] aren't just flowing the way you want and

[2:51] name them because your guides cannot

[2:54] support you without your request without

[2:58] your permission. Now, I will give you an

[3:01] exception to that is that you do have a

[3:03] guardian angel who's overlooking your

[3:05] life and doing their best to to keep you

[3:08] as safe as possible without without

[3:12] interfering with your free will and your

[3:15] conscious

[3:17] availability. So, if you're checked out,

[3:20] tuned out, numbed out, un unaware,

[3:24] you're going to miss the memo. It's just

[3:26] like if your radio's the radio broadcast

[3:29] works, but you have to turn the radio

[3:30] on. So, let's go back to the question,

[3:34] what exactly would you like support with

[3:38] right now? It could be, you know, a lot

[3:42] of people have written to me as in

[3:44] commenting on my previous videos that

[3:47] they want to raise their vibration, but

[3:49] they're around very negative people and

[3:51] often a partner or a family member. That

[3:53] just seems like an insurmountable

[3:55] problem. It seems, how can I get around

[3:57] this? Maybe that's where you want

[3:59] guidance. Other people have

[4:02] unfortunately really depressing jobs.

[4:04] And there are a lot of places to work

[4:07] where the energy and the vibe is super

[4:09] low and just is toxic. So maybe that's

[4:16] where you'd like some help. Maybe you're

[4:19] just lonely and you just feel sad and

[4:24] you don't have any any sense of of joy

[4:27] in your life. So maybe that's where you

[4:29] want help. It doesn't matter. Your

[4:32] spirit is here as a student to learn to

[4:37] activate your your your spirit powers,

[4:40] the divine powers in you. It's a tough

[4:44] classroom.

[4:45] Life can be challenging and part of the

[4:48] reason it's so tough is it's temporary.

[4:51] So we we graduate. When we when we

[4:55] transition out of our body, it is a

[4:57] graduation. But so many people don't

[4:59] know that. But let's not get ahead of

[5:01] oursel. Just go back to, okay, we're

[5:03] going to get this guide connection going

[5:05] for you because we don't want any more

[5:08] time wasted feeling alone or abandoned

[5:11] or disconnected.

[5:14] So you have to give your guides

[5:16] permission. You have to give your angels

[5:19] availability. You know, have you ever

[5:22] had someone ask you for help or advice,

[5:25] call you up, download, just life is

[5:27] awful, and you give up advice, advice,

[5:29] advice, and they just ignore you and

[5:32] keep talking about the problem. I'm sure

[5:35] you have. We all have.

[5:37] And it's probably happened where

[5:39] someone's been giving you advice and you

[5:42] didn't hear it because you weren't

[5:44] available. So, you were caught up in the

[5:46] storm

[5:47] of of the of the emotions. So, we have

[5:51] to take a breath. I want you to take a

[5:53] nice deep breath in through the nose

[5:54] with me right now. But, I want you to

[5:56] imagine that not only are you breathing

[5:58] through your nose, and mine's very

[6:00] congested today. I have terrible cold or

[6:03] allergies, I don't know. But, and you're

[6:05] breathing in your heart as well as your

[6:07] nose. So, breathe in

[6:09] and pause.

[6:12] And then exhale. And you want to empty

[6:15] the negativity, the fears, the thoughts,

[6:17] the resentments, the hurt, the wounds,

[6:19] like you're emptying the garbage as you

[6:22] exhale.

[6:25] You want to do this slowly,

[6:28] maybe five or six times. So, you can

[6:30] pause this and do this. You breathe in

[6:33] and pause and

[6:38] empty. Empty. You know, a couple years

[6:40] ago,

[6:42] the conversation used to be, you know,

[6:44] black, light is the new black. Light is

[6:47] the new black. And it's true. Light is

[6:50] the new cool thing. Light is the new

[6:53] desirable state. Be in the light. But

[6:55] you know what's even next level? Empty

[6:58] is the new light. Empty the garbage.

[7:01] Empty the negativity. Empty what's

[7:04] holding on to you. It's like sticky fly

[7:08] paper. Voom.

[7:09] So this breath and if you do this twice

[7:12] a day, three times a day, it's just

[7:14] like, okay, all I'm going to do is

[7:16] empty, you create room

[7:20] to receive

[7:22] guidance. So we have two steps here now.

[7:25] Step one, what do you want guidance in?

[7:27] Just put it in the comments. You start

[7:30] acknowledging, I want guidance here. And

[7:33] then step two,

[7:35] are you available

[7:38] to receive guidance? Because this is why

[7:41] that's such an important question.

[7:44] Guidance is going to usually be

[7:47] something different than you are doing

[7:50] now, something completely different.

[7:54] And it's really hard for the brain, for

[7:56] your ego brain to consider something

[8:00] different. Your brain argues, I want to

[8:03] do what I've already set up to do.

[8:05] Partly because it likes predictability,

[8:08] even though what you keep doing isn't

[8:10] working. In fact, there's a very

[8:13] accurate saying, the definition of

[8:15] insanity is to keep doing the same thing

[8:17] hoping you'll get a different result.

[8:20] So, this is a big checkin.

[8:22] Are you available to at least consider

[8:28] something different to change your

[8:32] responses, your outlook, your plans?

[8:38] Because you get it. You get energetic

[8:42] influence, energetic guidance. You can

[8:45] your guides don't talk to you in words

[8:47] for the most part. They give you a push,

[8:49] a vibe, a feeling.

[8:53] So ask yourself, do I take advice? Am I

[8:57] available for new input? Am I truly

[9:01] receptive to considering other than my

[9:04] own automatic habits? Because that is

[9:07] the biggest block to guides

[9:10] to your guides helping you. They're like

[9:12] sitting around going, "Oh my god, I've

[9:14] tried this way, this way, this way, this

[9:17] way. Nobody's listening."

[9:20] So, it might be unusual and if you're

[9:23] wounded and hurt and upset, it's like,

[9:24] "Shut up. Leave me alone. I don't want

[9:26] to hear it." Because you don't want to

[9:28] be disappointed.

[9:30] But it really is time to say, "Okay, let

[9:32] me at least consider

[9:35] if I get a vibe to give it importance,

[9:39] if I get an impulse." So, now we have a

[9:42] couple things. One, we have three things

[9:45] already here. One, what do you want

[9:48] guidance in?

[9:50] Two,

[9:52] are you available for guidance?

[9:56] Actually, one is are you aware you have

[9:58] guides? That's one. And are you open to

[10:01] actually allowing that to be the case?

[10:04] You know, if you talk, if you do any

[10:07] sort of

[10:09] research on any investigative study on

[10:14] people who have succeeded in a big way

[10:17] in life, in a really big way, you know,

[10:20] really changed the world. Tony Robbins,

[10:23] Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett, who is

[10:25] the big financial guy who just retired

[10:27] at 94 after being like the most

[10:30] successful investor in the planet.

[10:33] creators like of course we cite Steve

[10:36] Jobs who created the iPhone and and the

[10:39] Mac and and people who have really

[10:42] changed the world.

[10:44] They will universally

[10:47] acknowledge that they got some kind of

[10:49] guidance that was other than their logic

[10:52] brain. Okay, some kind of impulse or

[10:55] some kind of bright idea or bit of inner

[10:57] knowing. They use different language,

[10:59] but that's guidance

[11:02] and they listened. So that's your next

[11:05] question. Can I actually be available?

[11:10] And then we'll talk about what you're

[11:12] being available to so you don't miss the

[11:14] memo. But these are the first three.

[11:16] Guides are real. Angels are real.

[11:19] They're real for me. Even though I've

[11:22] been locked out, shut down, no evidence.

[11:26] Can you open your mind? Can you open

[11:28] your heart? Because that's the portal

[11:30] they talk to. Two, okay, I'm going to do

[11:34] that. What will I what where would I

[11:38] welcome guidance?

[11:40] Where will I welcome guidance?

[11:43] I remember um

[11:46] many times in my life as an intuitive

[11:48] guide for others. And this is a true

[11:50] story. You know, years ago, I don't do

[11:52] it anymore because life has changed and

[11:54] I moved to Europe, but used to be years

[11:56] ago, people would come and have

[11:58] intuitive sessions with me one on-one in

[12:01] my home for years. Really from the time

[12:05] I was 15, well into late 40s, okay? So,

[12:09] 30 years for sure. And here's the

[12:12] interesting thing.

[12:14] People would come and take notes.

[12:18] Rabbit notes. Just rabbit note. No, no,

[12:20] no, no.

[12:22] And yet there were occasions and they

[12:25] were more than a few where people forgot

[12:28] the notes. They would leave a hug,

[12:31] goodbye, thank you, something to think

[12:33] about, but they would forget the notes.

[12:36] Now, the interesting thing is not one

[12:41] person

[12:43] called me back and said, "I left my

[12:44] notes. Can I come and get them or will

[12:46] you mail them?" not one person.

[12:50] Now, what does that tell you? And I

[12:52] never called them. If you leave your

[12:53] notes, you you're not available. You

[12:56] know, it was an interesting thing to

[12:57] consider, but I'm going back to what I

[13:00] do all the time. And the people who took

[13:02] the notes or remembered the things,

[13:04] they've written to me and said, you

[13:05] know, everything changed and I can't

[13:08] believe things unfolded in the way that

[13:10] you that I wanted or that you were

[13:12] seeing for me. and and I am a thousand

[13:15] thousand thousand of those testimonials.

[13:17] But I often wonder what happened to the

[13:20] people who didn't take the notes or in

[13:22] other words didn't didn't didn't take in

[13:27] supportive information and no judgment.

[13:30] I know people have given me advice

[13:32] before and I wasn't available. So you

[13:34] have to be available. That's a big deal.

[13:37] Now who am I available to? I want to

[13:39] have you there in in in the notes

[13:41] there's a free PDF

[13:44] that will tell you all the guides that

[13:47] are available to you and they're

[13:48] rotating system. So you have 33 guides

[13:53] available to you at any time for

[13:55] everything under the sun and moon from

[13:57] where is my keys to where's my purpose

[13:59] to how can I improve my health to how

[14:01] can I get a better job to how can I

[14:04] manifest my creative money and and on

[14:06] and on and on because life is hard and

[14:10] the guides are here to help it become

[14:12] easier to learn how to become a a just a

[14:16] manifesting master. That's why we're

[14:18] here. So, if you want a list of the

[14:21] guides and if you want further insight,

[14:24] this is my book, classic book, number

[14:27] one selling book, ask your guides. This

[14:30] book, you might want to check into it.

[14:31] And it's on audio, too, if you're not a

[14:33] reader. If you're in in curious and

[14:36] you're you're you want to go deeper into

[14:39] like, okay, what am I available to? But

[14:42] I want you to know that it's a

[14:46] relationship. Your guides aren't going

[14:48] to tell you what to do.

[14:49] Consider it like a coach on a basketball

[14:51] court or a football, you know, a soccer

[14:54] field. It's like, okay, here's some

[14:56] strategies, but it's your game. Here's

[14:59] some opportunity. Here's what I know

[15:01] that will make it better than what you

[15:03] know, but it's your game. What's

[15:06] important is your guides are helping

[15:07] you, but they're not going to do it for

[15:09] you. What's the fun of that? It's your

[15:13] game. So, the guides are saying, "Please

[15:16] let us help." But it is your game. You

[15:20] have to agree to the help.

[15:22] So you get the you get this list of the

[15:24] guides so you know who is helping you.

[15:26] And then guess what? Don't bother

[15:28] yourself about oh I got to call the

[15:30] right guide. It's all about vibrational

[15:32] match. The right guide will come

[15:35] depending on

[15:37] what you're focused on. And the guide

[15:40] isn't going to come like a telegram.

[15:42] You're going to get a hint or a hunch or

[15:43] an aha.

[15:45] In fact, one client of mine was saying

[15:47] that she was really, really wanting a

[15:51] new job. She loved interior design. She

[15:54] did it a lot for her friends, but she

[15:56] worked in an office and it just it just

[15:59] wasn't a happy, creative place. It was

[16:02] good enough. She'd been there about 11

[16:04] years, but she got the guidance to a

[16:07] friend of hers asked to help remodel her

[16:10] one of her kids' bedrooms, and her first

[16:12] instinct was no. And then she got the

[16:14] guidance to say yes. So she said, "Well,

[16:17] if you bear with me, I don't have a lot

[16:19] of time, but I will help you." And so in

[16:23] the course of her project and her

[16:24] planning, which she was really enjoying,

[16:26] she went to Home Depot, which is a home

[16:28] store in America where you can go and

[16:30] and get all the things you need like

[16:32] paint and, you know, nails and wood and

[16:35] whatever. It's the do-it-yourself

[16:38] heaven.

[16:40] So, she went to get some paint and she

[16:42] started talking to a woman who was

[16:43] helping her, the nicest woman. And she

[16:46] said, you know, what are you doing?

[16:47] What's the project? And she said, well,

[16:49] I'm helping a friend, but I just love

[16:51] this. I absolutely love this. I would

[16:55] love to be designing and helping people

[16:58] create all day long. It's my happy

[17:01] place. And the woman said, "Well, you

[17:03] know what? Have you ever thought of

[17:04] applying to the design center here?" She

[17:08] said, "I didn't even know there was a

[17:10] design center." And she goes, "Oh, yes."

[17:11] And she said, "Well, I'm not trained as

[17:13] a designer." And she said, "Well, we

[17:14] have all kinds of levels of of entry and

[17:18] they need help. Everybody's staying home

[17:21] and doing and redoing their home. So,

[17:23] apply."

[17:25] So, in saying a yes to one thing to the

[17:27] another, long story short, she took a

[17:30] part-time job on the weekends, kept her

[17:33] day job, but within three months, she

[17:35] transitioned into this full-time

[17:37] position and flies to work. That's how

[17:41] guides work. They It's a connect the

[17:43] dots kind of process, okay? It's not

[17:46] some big you got to do this and you

[17:48] better do it now. Now, occasionally, but

[17:51] let's just say that guides are gentle

[17:54] and they'll make a suggestion that you

[17:56] may not necessarily

[18:00] recognize as a direct response, but

[18:03] they're putting you on a path to the

[18:06] response.

[18:08] So, don't bother

[18:11] um trying to figure it out because it's

[18:13] much more sophisticated than your your

[18:16] logic can figure out. Just trust. If you

[18:18] get a vibe, say yes. Just trust. If you

[18:22] get a vibe or a direction, say yes.

[18:24] Let's just start here. I'm gonna take a

[18:28] breath. I'm going to empty myself. And

[18:29] when I get a vibe, whatever it is, say

[18:32] it out loud and say yes, thank you. Just

[18:36] that. Say yes, thank you. Don't say,

[18:37] "Well, what does that have to do with

[18:39] it?" Just say, "Okay, yes, thank you."

[18:42] If you get a vibe to stop for coffee on

[18:45] your way to an errand, yes, thank you.

[18:47] If you get a vibe to drive a different

[18:49] way to work, yes, thank you. If you get

[18:51] a vibe to slow down your car, yes, thank

[18:54] you. Instead of why, no, I don't want to

[18:57] do that. That's weird. Or argue or

[19:00] ignore it. This is yes, thank you. Is

[19:03] going to start opening up. And believe

[19:05] me, you will be flooded

[19:08] with supportive insights that will start

[19:10] creating and connecting you to the life

[19:13] you really want. So I'm not going to go

[19:16] any further than this. It is that

[19:18] simple. And I don't want to give you

[19:20] more because often sometimes we get a

[19:22] lot of information, right? You don't do

[19:25] anything with it. So this is specific

[19:28] information.

[19:30] First, believe it. Second,

[19:34] open your heart and mind with the the

[19:36] heart breath. The in through hold into

[19:39] the heart hold empty. Empty. Hold. Do

[19:42] this several times a day to clear your

[19:44] mind and make you available.

[19:47] The next thing is what do you want

[19:48] guidance in? Write it down. Say so. And

[19:52] then get the PDF so you know who's

[19:55] guiding you so your logic brain isn't

[19:57] sabotaging you. And then when you get

[20:01] these impulses and they're like

[20:03] butterfly wings on a cheek. They're just

[20:05] like a quick w like a firefly. It's not

[20:08] going to be a download. It can be there.

[20:11] People go, "Oh, yes it is." And I agree.

[20:14] But let's just start with the way it

[20:15] mostly comes initially. And it's not

[20:18] that it isn't clear and strong. It's

[20:22] that you have to train yourself to

[20:23] receive it. And the more you receive

[20:25] guidance, the stronger it becomes. It's

[20:27] like you dial into the radio station and

[20:30] then you just get more and more and more

[20:32] accurate in tuning into that frequency.

[20:34] Then it gets very clear. I want to give

[20:37] you one more tip that will help because

[20:39] a lot of people won't say yes, but this

[20:42] will help you start saying yes.

[20:45] When you get guidance, rather than

[20:47] trying to figure out what it means or

[20:50] figure out if it's worth listening to,

[20:52] just say it out loud. That's all.

[20:56] Because when you name it, you claim it.

[20:57] Once you acknowledge it, whether you

[20:59] listen or not, time will tell that it

[21:02] was very valuable and it will become

[21:04] harder and harder to ignore. We have to

[21:08] start living with guidance as our new

[21:10] normal. It's why I was woken up to bring

[21:13] this to you now. We have to Why stay

[21:17] stuck in the closet in the dark by

[21:19] yourself when there's a whole party

[21:20] waiting for you in the in the other

[21:22] room? Okay, just see it that way. It's

[21:25] like we're waiting. We want to help.

[21:27] Here is another video to take the

[21:31] conversation deeper on how your guides

[21:34] are talking to you, how they're

[21:36] communicating so that you are able to

[21:40] really receive quickly

[21:44] help and quickly see the difference that

[21:47] that help brings you. So, thanks for

[21:49] tuning in. I really want you to get this

[21:51] next video and sending you

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Sonia Choquette says guidance rarely comes as words. It tends to arrive as a vibe, a hunch, a feeling, or a push, and it often points somewhere different from what your logical mind wants. She suggests giving such impulses some consideration rather than dismissing them immediately.
In this teaching, Choquette says guides cannot help without your request and your permission. She makes one exception: a guardian angel oversees your life and keeps you as safe as possible without interfering with your free will.
Choquette leads a slow breath in through the nose and the heart, a pause, then an exhale in which you empty negativity, fears, resentments, and hurts. She recommends five or six rounds, practiced two or three times a day, to create room to receive guidance.
Choquette explains that guidance is usually different from what you are already doing, and the ego brain prefers predictability even when old patterns are not working. Fear of disappointment also makes people say 'leave me alone' when an impulse arrives. Her advice is simply to be willing to consider something new.
Choquette presents 'yes, thank you' as a response that opens you to a flood of supportive insights when guidance arrives. She suggests using it even for small signs, such as a sudden impulse to slow down while driving.
In the video she calls loneliness and disconnection 'the number one problem on this planet,' arguing that people become cut off from their own spirit, their guides, and the energy flow around them. She believes this disconnection is why people keep repeating unhappy patterns.
Yes. Choquette describes a woman who had long helped friends with painting, nails, and woodwork, and who said she loved the design center. Choquette presents her one small yes as the step that led her toward a dream career, though the transcript used for this article does not describe the ending in detail.
