November 2026 Astrology: Venus, Mercury and Mars Transits

TA
The Astrology Podcast
Oct 23, 2026
9 min read
Watch · 7

Chris Brennan recorded his November 2026 forecast on October 22, two days before the retrograde he most wanted to discuss had even begun. The episode, number 555 of The Astrology Podcast, is a month-long walk through a sky that is unusually crowded: Venus finishing a retrograde that began in Scorpio and ends in Libra, Mercury turning retrograde in the same watery sign, a Sun–Mercury meeting on November 4, a Mars–Jupiter–South Node gathering in Leo on November 15 and 16, and Mars slipping into Virgo at the end of the month to begin a long, tense square with Uranus. Brennan treats these not as a list of events but as a sequence, with each transit setting up the tone for the next. What follows explains the core ideas behind that sequence, so the forecast can be read as more than a calendar of dates.

The episode opens with a scene that Brennan himself found too perfect to skip. The day before he recorded, a serious security flaw was reported in PHP, the widely used web software that a large share of the world's websites run on. Sites were told to patch immediately or go offline. Brennan said he saw at least two astrology software sites announce they were going dark. He called it "classic and funny Mercury retrograde stuff," and it captures the logic of the whole month: the sky doesn't cause machines to fail, but it spotlights the places where systems, messages and relationships were already fragile.

What makes this Venus retrograde the last of its kind?

The most distinctive thread in the forecast is a sign-change story that unfolds over decades. Venus began its retrograde in Scorpio in early October, then moved through a cazimi, the close conjunction with the Sun that traditional astrologers read as the planet sitting in the Sun's "heart." Around October 23 and 24, Venus joins the Sun in Scorpio and then, as the retrograde continues, turns back into Libra, the sign it had passed through in September. It will station direct in Libra on November 13.

Brennan's point about this specific cazimi is that it is the last of its kind for a long time. In the episode he tells listeners: "this is the last one we're going to get" (Chris Brennan, The Astrology Podcast, 2026). He explains that these Venus retrograde cazimis in Scorpio have been recurring for almost a century, and that after this one, the cazimi will fall in Libra, roughly every eight years. In other words, the Scorpio version of this pattern is closing, and what replaces it is a Libra-centered cycle.

That shift matters because Brennan links Libra to something personal. Early in the broadcast, at about the 6-minute mark, he notes that there is "something about the Libra sectors of our birth charts," particularly the sign-house relationship that Libra has with the chart, and that this is an area the forecast will return to. For readers who want to test this in their own charts, the practical question is which houses Libra occupies in their natal chart and which areas of life those houses govern. That is a useful way to make a general transit specific.

Why does Mercury retrograde in Scorpio feel like buried secrets?

Mercury stations retrograde on October 24 at 20 degrees of Scorpio and then backs up to 5 degrees before turning direct on November 13. That means Mercury spends the first half of November covering ground it has already crossed, with its communication-related themes folded into the same sign where Venus has been operating. Brennan describes the familiar Mercury retrograde signatures: missed messages, misunderstood emails, plans that need to be checked twice and revisited.

Scorpio adds a particular flavor. As a water sign, it is associated with depth, emotion and what lies under the surface. At around 19 minutes into the episode, Brennan is describing how the water element in Scorpio tends to bring things up rather than let them pass, and the forecast leans into the idea that what gets revealed in this period is often what was already present but unspoken. The way he frames it, a retrograde is less a cause of trouble than a reading of what's been left unaddressed. Relationships in particular are a focus, and the episode treats Venus retrograde in Scorpio as a period when desires shift and surprises surface.

Brennan also emphasizes that retrograde periods have a "shadow" before and after the station, and that the planet's themes are present well before the official dates. That is why the forecast starts on October 22 and not November 1. The idea is practical: if you wait for the first day of the month to notice the effects, you may already be in the middle of them.

What happens at the Mercury cazimi on November 4?

The first major date of the month is November 4, when Mercury joins the Sun in Scorpio. Brennan describes this as the midpoint of the retrograde cycle, the moment when Mercury and the Sun meet and resolution begins. His description of the principle is precise: issues that were set up at the start of the retrograde, or things that needed to be revisited, begin moving toward resolution "even if they're not fixed." That distinction is worth holding onto. A cazimi, in this framing, is a turning point in understanding rather than a finish line for the practical problem.

The same day, Venus in Libra makes a sextile to Jupiter in Leo, a gentler aspect that the episode describes as a moment of breathing room. Brennan uses the phrase "breathing room or a little bit of grace" when discussing the wider stretch of the month, suggesting that not every part of November is dense. Taken together, the November 4 pairing gives the first half of the month a mix of reckoning and relief: the Mercury turning point invites honest reconsideration, and the Venus–Jupiter sextile offers space to act on it.

Two days later, on November 5, Mars enters its pre-retrograde shadow in Leo, the early phase in which its themes begin to build before its formal turn backward. That sets up the most intense cluster of the month.

Can a Mars–Jupiter–South Node conjunction in Leo really shape war and peace?

Brennan calls the November 15 and 16 gathering of Mars, Jupiter and the South Node in Leo "probably our biggest alignment of this month." It is a rare triple conjunction, and the episode treats it as the center of gravity for the month's social and political questions. The themes he returns to are war and peace, and the stakes he describes are high: "sometimes conflicts break out," he says, while also noting moments when peacemaking has been seen to follow.

The approach here is historical. Brennan devotes a segment to earlier Mars and South Node conjunctions, around the 57-minute mark, examining how this combination has coincided with periods of conflict and negotiation. He is careful to frame this as pattern recognition rather than prediction, and he pays attention to the specific sign and degree involved. For a reader, the value of that method is in comparison: a planetary combination is read not as a single event but as a recurring signature whose outcomes depend on the surrounding chart.

The transit does not arrive alone. The Sun squares Jupiter and Mars between November 18 and 22, then enters Sagittarius, adding a second layer of tension to the mid-to-late month. Brennan's framing suggests that the Leo conjunction sets the emotional and strategic tone, and the Sun's square tests how that tone is handled in the days that follow.

Why does Mars entering Virgo matter for the rest of the year?

The forecast's longest-lasting development is Mars moving into Virgo on November 25. Brennan explains that Mars is slowing down and preparing to station retrograde on January 10, 2027, at 10 degrees of Virgo. Mars will not leave Virgo for the final time until July of next year, which makes this a long-term transit rather than a passing one. As he puts it, "we're really starting some long-term transits here by the end of the month."

The immediate concern is the square to Uranus in Gemini, which begins right after Mars enters Virgo and runs into early December. Brennan says the effect will be felt strongly during the last week of November. Before that, the full moon on November 24 falls in Gemini, conjunct Uranus, which intensifies Uranus's sudden, disruptive qualities in the very days Mars arrives. The episode also notes that Mercury will be squaring Pluto in Aquarius on November 13, and that Uranus in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius later in the month, a more harmonious configuration that offers a counterweight to the square.

The closing segments of the broadcast shift toward practical timing. Brennan presents an electional chart for November 22, a tool for choosing favorable moments to begin something, and he reviews the late-month shift in which Mercury exits its shadow and Venus sextiles Jupiter on November 28 and 29. That final sextile is the month's most hopeful note, and it lands just before the Mars–Uranus tension fully sets in.

How should a reader use a forecast like this?

The most useful thing about Brennan's approach is its structure. He doesn't ask listeners to accept a single prediction. He builds a timeline of stations, conjunctions, squares and ingresses, then asks how each one touches the others. A reader can treat the episode as a map: note the retrograde windows, mark the cazimi and the direct stations, watch the late-month Mars move, and then examine what those dates touch in their own charts. Whether one reads these correlations literally or symbolically, the method rewards slow attention rather than headline-level reaction.

Where to go from here

To hear the full forecast, listen to episode 555 of The Astrology Podcast, which runs close to two hours and includes a solo deep dive, a historical look at Mars and South Node conjunctions, and the late-month electional chart. The episode also closes with a letter that Brennan's co-host Austin sent from a trip, delivered, as the episode puts it, by carrier pigeon. For readers who want to go further into the chart work, Brennan's courses are available through his site, theastrologyschool.com. Start with the November 4 cazimi and the November 15–16 conjunction, then trace what Mars does after November 25. Those are the dates the month is built around.

[0:00] Hey, my name is Chris Brennan. You're

[0:02] listening to the astrology podcast. In

[0:04] this episode, I'm going to be talking

[0:05] about the astrological forecast for

[0:07] November of 2026.

[0:10] All right. Uh, this is going to be a

[0:11] deep dive where I'm going to go into all

[0:12] the astrology of November sequentially.

[0:15] Uh, this is going to be a solo episode

[0:17] cuz Austin is away on a trip this week

[0:19] to celebrate Caitlyn's birthday.

[0:21] Although, I did receive a mysterious uh

[0:24] letter from him via carrier pigeon that

[0:26] I'll be reading towards the end of this

[0:28] episode. So, I'll save that for the end.

[0:31] Um, but otherwise, um, because I just

[0:33] recently did a whole Venus retrograde in

[0:37] the news segment uh that I just released

[0:40] like yesterday, I'm going to skip the

[0:41] news and jump right into the forecast

[0:43] here today cuz I did that last month and

[0:46] it actually worked out really well and

[0:47] it seemed like a lot of people enjoyed

[0:49] that. So, um, yeah, let's jump right

[0:51] into it. Let's get into the forecast for

[0:53] November without any further ado.

[0:57] So, here's the planetary movements

[0:59] calendar that shows where the planets

[1:00] will start at the beginning of the month

[1:02] and how far through the signs of the

[1:03] zodiac they'll get by the end of the

[1:05] month for those watching the video

[1:06] version.

[1:08] And we got a lot of stuff going on this

[1:11] month. So, we have the continuation and

[1:14] and sort of uh culmination of the Venus

[1:17] retrograde which will finally go exact

[1:20] or finally end and go direct in the

[1:23] middle of this month on November 13th.

[1:25] the Venus retrograde which started in

[1:28] Scorpio in early October and then will

[1:30] station direct later in Libra on

[1:32] November 13th.

[1:34] Uh we also have the second half of a

[1:37] Mercury retrograde which is technically

[1:39] just starting what a couple of days from

[1:42] now. Today's October 22nd. It starts on

[1:44] October 24th and then Mercury will

[1:48] retrograde from 20° of Scorpio all the

[1:50] way back to 5° of Scorpio before

[1:52] stationing direct on November 13th,

[1:55] which is right in the middle of the

[1:57] month on the same day that Venus

[1:58] stations direct, which is going to be a

[2:00] very powerful day or set of a few days

[2:04] around November 13th this month. And we

[2:07] actually open the month of November with

[2:09] the kazmi when the sun and mercury can

[2:12] join on November 4th. Uh we also have

[2:15] the Mars retrograde ramping up this

[2:18] month especially when Mars goes into

[2:21] Virgo towards the end of the month on

[2:23] November 25th. Uh that's going to be

[2:26] really important because Mars is slowing

[2:28] down and getting ready to station

[2:29] retrograde on January 10th at 10° of

[2:31] Virgo. And as soon as it goes into

[2:33] Virgo, it squares Uranus right at the

[2:35] beginning of December. So, we're going

[2:37] to be feeling that very strongly by the

[2:40] last week of November as Mars ingresses

[2:42] into Virgo and immediately begins that

[2:44] square with Uranus.

[2:46] What else is going on? Let's see. We

[2:49] open the month with just coming out of

[2:51] the Venus retrograde, which has just

[2:53] come into or retrograded back into

[2:55] Libra. Here's the planetary alignments

[2:58] calendar for those watching the video

[3:00] version just to give you a glance at

[3:03] some of the major aspects this month

[3:04] that we're going to be talking about.

[3:06] Um, some of which I already mentioned

[3:08] like the Kazmi on November 4th, the two

[3:11] direct stations of Venus and Mercury on

[3:14] the 13th. Uh, the Mars Jupiter

[3:17] conjunction on the 16th and around there

[3:20] is probably our biggest alignment of

[3:22] this month in terms of planetary

[3:24] alignments. And then later in the month

[3:27] when Mars goes into Virgo on the 25th

[3:29] again, it moves into its retrograde sign

[3:31] where it's going to spend a lot of time

[3:33] cuz Mars is going to be there and won't

[3:35] depart from Virgo for the final time

[3:37] until like July of next year. So, we're

[3:39] really starting some long-term transits

[3:41] here by the end of the month. All right,

[3:44] I think that's good for the little big

[3:46] picture overview at the beginning. Let

[3:49] me put up the chart for this month and

[3:52] let's just like get into a sequential

[3:54] breakdown of some of the transits that

[3:56] we're going to be looking at. All right,

[3:58] so let's start today. So, I'm recording

[4:01] this uh what this forecast a little bit

[4:04] early this month um because most

[4:07] YouTubers like put out their forecasts

[4:09] really early. So, I realize I need to

[4:11] start getting on top of that. And also,

[4:14] I like the electional chart better. Uh

[4:16] but we're going to start here because

[4:19] since it's only October 22nd, there's a

[4:21] few things that are forming right now uh

[4:24] towards the end of the month that are

[4:25] really going to take us into and set

[4:27] this the tone for early November. So the

[4:31] first thing is that Mercury is

[4:33] stationing retrograde in the next couple

[4:36] of days on October 24th. We see Mercury

[4:39] stationing retrograde there at 20° of

[4:42] Scorpio. And already we're feeling the

[4:46] intensity of this transit starting to

[4:49] build. Just yesterday, there was this

[4:52] huge report that went out worldwide

[4:56] that um a major security bug was found

[4:59] in a piece of software called PHP that

[5:03] like a huge number of the world's

[5:06] websites runs off of and it created such

[5:09] a major security

[5:11] breach or or vulnerability that a lot of

[5:14] sites were told to either fix it

[5:17] immediately by installing the update or

[5:19] that if couldn't to just like take your

[5:21] website offline. And I actually saw at

[5:24] least two astrology software websites

[5:26] that announced that they were going

[5:28] offline. And it's just really classic

[5:32] and funny Mercury retrograde stuff with

[5:35] that starting just a couple of days from

[5:36] now. But but functionally since it's

[5:38] already the 22nd, Mercury is already

[5:41] pretty much stationary at the degree

[5:43] that it's going retrograde at and then

[5:45] it will retrograde for the next 3 weeks

[5:48] uh through the sign of Scorpio where

[5:50] Venus has already been retrograde for

[5:52] most of the past month since the

[5:54] beginning of October.

[5:56] So it's like by the time we So that's

[5:59] one thing that we open the month with

[6:01] that I'll talk about a little bit more.

[6:03] And the other thing that we are opening

[6:05] the month with here is that the Venus

[6:08] retrograde Kazmi in Scorpio, the last

[6:12] Venus retrograde in Kazmi in Scorpio

[6:14] basically cuz it's been we've been

[6:16] having those retrograde kazmis for

[6:18] almost a century now. And this is the

[6:20] last one we're going to get cuz after

[6:22] this point every 8 years the kazmi will

[6:25] take place in the sign of Libra. So,

[6:27] we're going to get one last burst of

[6:29] that Venus retrograde in Scorpio and

[6:31] that energy that comes along with it in

[6:32] the next few days here as Venus conjoins

[6:35] the sun on October 23rd and 24th. And

[6:39] then after that, Venus is going to

[6:41] retrograde back into the sign of Libra

[6:44] where it departed back in like September

[6:47] after spending a few weeks going through

[6:49] that sign. And there's something about

[6:52] the Libra sectors of our birth charts

[6:55] and es especially the whole sign house

[6:57] that Libra coincides with that we're

[7:00] going to be revisiting at this time. So

[7:03] already by like the 24th 25th Venus is

[7:06] retrograded back into Libra uh and we'll

[7:09] be going through that sign for the rest

[7:11] of November before eventually stationing

[7:14] direct there on November 13th at the

[7:17] same time that Mercury stations direct.

[7:20] So, those are two of the main things

[7:22] that I wanted to mention in terms of

[7:25] like the setup for this month in terms

[7:28] of things that we move into November

[7:31] with right away on November 1st.

[7:34] Um, but let's see other things going on

[7:37] right now in terms of the setup for the

[7:39] first few days. It's really just besides

[7:42] those two things. So, let's talk because

[7:45] we we do hit the Kazmi of Mercury.

[7:47] That's basically our first really major

[7:50] or notable event in November is on

[7:53] November 4th. Mercury conjoins the sun

[7:57] exactly about halfway through its

[7:59] retrograde cycle. And that's usually the

[8:02] point of resolution where things related

[8:06] to what was set up at the beginning of

[8:08] the Mercury retrograde that were

[8:09] problems or things that needed to be

[8:11] resolved or revisited start to head

[8:14] towards some sort of resolution even if

[8:16] they're not fixed. But um given that I

[8:20] wanted to and since we're just starting

[8:22] the Mercury retrograde and the Mercury

[8:23] retrograde is going to be dominating the

[8:25] next week or two at least of news, I

[8:28] wanted to to talk about and give some

[8:31] classic like Mercury retrograde type

[8:32] significations

[8:34] since we're going to be seeing a lot of

[8:36] that in the news over the next um next

[8:39] few weeks. So classically it's things

[8:42] like miscommunications.

[8:44] We see like people missing emails. there

[8:46] can be lost messages or sometimes you

[8:49] get mixed signals from somebody. Um,

[8:52] more prominently and regularly in what

[8:54] we're already seeing in the news is

[8:56] technical issues like tech issues

[8:58] including glitches, outages, crashes,

[9:01] and hardware failures. There's also just

[9:04] like snafuss in general like mixups and

[9:07] scheduling conflicts and logistical

[9:09] errors are really common. Um, travel

[9:12] problems is one we've seen a lot like

[9:14] over and over again where there can be

[9:16] like canceled flights. Um, breakdowns

[9:18] when it comes to like airlines or trains

[9:21] or cars or other things like that. In

[9:23] general, Mercury retrograde are

[9:25] notorious for delays and um, projects

[9:28] that get slowed down or paused or

[9:31] diverted so that you have to go on some

[9:33] kind of side quest. Um, more personally,

[9:36] Mercury retrogrades are really known as

[9:39] periods that are good for revising

[9:41] things or like going back and editing

[9:43] something, reassessing or rethinking a

[9:46] plan, doing some deep internal work,

[9:49] which can sometimes be like a dark

[9:51] knight of the soul type internal

[9:53] emotional work. Sometimes like

[9:55] therapeutic work can be really good,

[9:57] especially if you're going back and

[9:58] thinking about past issues or like

[10:00] working through something. And then

[10:02] finally, returns of things from the past

[10:06] because retrogrades are always backwards

[10:09] oriented in terms of their orientation.

[10:11] You can have people from the past or

[10:13] situations or even like items from the

[10:16] past suddenly resurfacing and coming

[10:19] back into the present.

[10:21] A lot of this is things that we've

[10:23] already been seeing over the past few

[10:25] weeks during the course of the Venus

[10:27] retrograde, which has been in the sign

[10:29] of Scorpio, which already in itself

[10:32] often brings back relationship dynamics

[10:35] or like people from the past and then

[10:37] reminds you of them or brings them back

[10:39] into the present, especially in a

[10:42] relational context or sometimes in an

[10:45] artistic context or other things like

[10:49] that. But adding a Mercury retrograde on

[10:52] top of that in the same sign where Venus

[10:55] has already been retrograde is just

[10:57] going to intensify some of those uh

[11:00] pastword looking orientations that are

[11:02] already so prominent over the course of

[11:04] the past few weeks.

[11:06] So, um, but it but now it's going to put

[11:10] it more in a both a technological

[11:13] context, an agreement context where

[11:15] maybe if there were like relational

[11:17] things that came up through the Venus

[11:19] retrograde, now it's going to focus on

[11:21] having to revise sometimes in actual

[11:24] writing some of those agreements and

[11:26] some of the negotiations or the things

[11:29] that were negotiated or that came up as

[11:31] tumultuous during the course of the

[11:32] Venus retrograde.

[11:35] So, here's the Venus retrograde in

[11:36] Scorpio, which started on October 3rd.

[11:39] Although, there was a ton of time for

[11:41] buildup, especially ever since Venus

[11:44] first moved into into Libra on August

[11:46] 6th, since that's the sign it will

[11:48] retrograde back to this month. And so

[11:51] there's going to be some themes that

[11:53] happened between August 6th and October

[11:56] 3rd that we're already going to be

[11:59] returning back to that we may have

[12:02] thought were like one and done type

[12:04] situations. Especially if there were

[12:06] relationship or relational dynamics

[12:09] going on in our life, especially in

[12:11] whatever the whole sign house is that

[12:13] Venus has been transiting in your chart

[12:15] in in Libra and Scorpio. things that you

[12:18] thought were finished, you actually have

[12:19] to go back to and do over again once or

[12:22] twice more since Venus will pass in some

[12:25] instances the same degrees or the same

[12:27] natal placements in our birth chart

[12:30] three times during the course of this

[12:31] transit.

[12:33] So, I've been talking about Venus

[12:35] retrograde a lot in episodes over the

[12:38] past month, but just to reiterate first

[12:41] some basic significations of Venus

[12:43] retrograde and then some that I've

[12:45] learned and we've really found or seen

[12:46] become very prominent as I've been doing

[12:49] episodes on it this month. But

[12:51] frequently you get like the there's been

[12:53] a lot of like breakups I've noticed

[12:55] because when Venus goes retrograde and

[12:58] conjoins the sun, there's like this

[13:00] wrenching motion where Venus and the Sun

[13:03] are being pulled apart and traveling in

[13:06] opposite directions. And sometimes

[13:10] people can feel like they're they're

[13:11] suddenly moving in different directions

[13:14] from their partner or from a lover or or

[13:16] from some other relationship. Um,

[13:19] sometimes this can also result in like

[13:21] severing old alliances.

[13:24] But the flip side of that is that

[13:26] sometimes because Venus has that

[13:27] backwards looking orientation, it can be

[13:30] about eventually reconciling

[13:33] or forging new alliances with people or

[13:37] having somebody from the past come back

[13:40] into the present and the classic like an

[13:42] ex relationship coming back into your

[13:45] life and then having the choice of

[13:47] whether or not you want to resume that

[13:48] relationship.

[13:50] Uh during the course of the retrograde,

[13:52] there's been a lot of stuff about like

[13:53] shifting desires,

[13:55] people recalibrating their values and

[13:57] trying to figure out what's important to

[13:59] them and what's not. Um sometimes your

[14:02] tastes can change during the course of a

[14:04] retrograde, especially depending on what

[14:06] house the retrograde is going through.

[14:09] Um we've seen a lot of scandals under

[14:12] the Venus retrograde. a lot of like

[14:14] people doing rude or shocking acts or

[14:18] sometimes upsetting the sort of

[14:21] consensus reality or the established

[14:23] order of things. Sometimes in a

[14:25] provocative way and sometimes that's

[14:27] provocative in an interesting way and

[14:28] other times it's just provocative in a

[14:31] kind of gross way. Sometimes this has

[14:34] led to a fall from grace for different

[14:37] people. We've seen people in some

[14:40] instances be humbled as a result of that

[14:42] or go through a sort of dark knight of

[14:45] the soul or an internal sort of anana

[14:48] going through the underworld in in the

[14:50] descent of the underworld story. And you

[14:53] know, sometimes you emerge from out from

[14:56] under that. And that can be a really

[14:58] tough process or a very tough um

[15:02] sequence of events that's taking place

[15:03] over an extended period of time.

[15:05] Especially this Venus retrograde because

[15:07] it was square Pluto and square Mars. A

[15:10] lot of dynamics involving power

[15:13] struggles and like control and

[15:15] manipulation and other things in

[15:18] relationships were coming up very

[15:20] prominently. Not just in like lover

[15:24] relationship dynamics, but also in some

[15:26] instances. We were seeing a lot of

[15:28] stories about uh mothers or like

[15:31] maternal figures and really difficult

[15:34] sometimes negative or toxic things

[15:36] coming up in that s those sort of

[15:39] relationships. So even family

[15:41] relationships sometimes are are impacted

[15:43] or reflected in this Venus retrograde.

[15:46] But sometimes on the other side of this,

[15:47] especially now that we're getting to the

[15:49] second half of the Venus retrograde,

[15:51] there's the potential for hitting the

[15:54] lowest point at the kazimi, which is

[15:56] happening in late October, but then

[15:58] there's starting to be a turn towards

[16:01] um moving towards the other end of the

[16:03] cave and eventually emerging from the

[16:05] underworld. So, in some instances, we'll

[16:08] see some people making like surprise

[16:10] comebacks or reinventing themselves or

[16:14] in some instances people returning from

[16:16] obscurity, especially from the past.

[16:19] Like there's been a surprising number of

[16:21] people because of the 8-year repetitions

[16:24] of Venus who are like people you hadn't

[16:28] thought of or like celebrities you

[16:29] hadn't thought of in years or people in

[16:31] your personal life you haven't thought

[16:32] of in years that suddenly like come back

[16:35] from the past and have this interesting

[16:37] resurgence in some sense. Like there was

[16:41] a funny one just the other day where it

[16:42] was like um in the movies episode I

[16:46] mentioned that the the Nickelodeon show

[16:49] The Secret World of Alex Mack came out

[16:52] during the Venus retrograde in Scorpio

[16:54] in 1994.

[16:55] And then what's funny is just like

[16:58] yesterday or day or two ago, the actress

[17:01] that was on that show just like did

[17:03] Dancing with the Stars and they did a

[17:05] whole performance and the whole whole

[17:07] cast of the movie 10 Things I Hate About

[17:10] You was like there and it was this great

[17:12] and really beautiful and touching like

[17:14] Blast from the Past and they were also

[17:16] paying tribute to Heath Ledger who was a

[17:19] major actor in that movie who passed

[17:20] away really young. So, it's interesting

[17:23] seeing sometimes these these surprise

[17:26] comebacks or these people returning from

[17:28] the past um that you hadn't thought

[17:31] about in a long time, but then how that

[17:33] evokes a lot of emotions in people and

[17:36] it it takes a lot of us back to a point

[17:39] earlier in our life that in some

[17:41] instances we hadn't thought about or had

[17:42] become disconnected about in some way.

[17:45] And that kind of connects with um the

[17:48] Scorpio piece of this that I want to

[17:50] talk about a little bit more because I

[17:53] was realizing that this month one of the

[17:56] things about Scorpio is it's like a

[18:00] fixed water sign and on the one hand the

[18:04] fixed quality can sometimes come out

[18:06] through a sense of endurance or or

[18:09] something that's permanent or

[18:11] longstanding or immovable.

[18:14] And so I had like the example of a

[18:17] performance artist for example who did

[18:20] extremely long public performances that

[18:23] became like tests of endurance. And at

[18:26] one point she had like a partner who did

[18:29] those tests with her and they got into

[18:33] tensions in their relationship and

[18:35] eventually broke up partially because

[18:37] she uh with like a Venus retrograde in

[18:40] Scorpio. This was Marina Brahmovic was

[18:43] like used to uh sitting with for like

[18:46] extended periods of time and had that

[18:48] internal sense of being able to do

[18:50] something for a very long time whereas

[18:52] it was start to hurt him eventually and

[18:55] he'd have to like stand up or quit and

[18:57] eventually this caused a tension in the

[19:00] relationship and eventually they broke

[19:02] up and that had me thinking a lot about

[19:04] the nature of Scorpio as a fixed sign

[19:06] and in her instance the concept of

[19:09] endurance being part of the performance

[19:11] or part of the artistic expression.

[19:14] Um, but Scorpio is also a water sign and

[19:18] as a water sign, there's an element

[19:20] there that has to do with um emotions

[19:24] and with feelings. Um, but they're like

[19:27] fixed or hard or like long-standing

[19:29] emotions and feelings. And

[19:33] uh Scorpio was also the sign ruled by

[19:35] Mars, which as I talked about in a

[19:37] recent episode is

[19:40] not just like when uh when the Greeks

[19:43] inherited astrology from the

[19:44] Mesopotamians, they had to pick they

[19:47] tried to pick certain gods in the Greek

[19:49] pantheon and assigned those to the

[19:52] planets based on what the Mesopotamians

[19:54] had picked earlier. But they ran into an

[19:56] issue with Mars where they ended up

[19:58] assigning the god Ares, the the god of

[20:02] war basically to Mars, which picked up

[20:05] one piece of the earlier Mesopotamian

[20:07] assignment of the god Nurgal, who was a

[20:10] god of war and fighting and things like

[20:13] that and conflict. But the other side of

[20:15] the Mesopotamian god Nurgal that was

[20:17] lost is that Nurgal was also the god of

[20:19] the underworld. And when the Greeks

[20:22] assigned Aries to Mars, they lost that

[20:25] underworldly component which then would

[20:28] have been associated to some extent with

[20:30] any Mars ruled signs like Scorpio.

[20:33] So it's funny then in modern times that

[20:36] there's been, you know, attempts to

[20:38] assign Pluto, which is the ancient god

[20:40] of the underworld, Pluto or Hades, to

[20:43] the sign of Scorpio. And one of the

[20:46] reflections I've had over the past

[20:47] couple of years is that's almost not

[20:49] necessary if you just remember back to

[20:51] those original associations of Mars as

[20:54] the god of the underworld. And I think

[20:56] in in Scorpio especially that comes out

[20:58] really clearly. So, I wanted to mention

[21:01] that because I was realizing recently

[21:02] that one of the things you sometimes

[21:05] find in Scorpio because Scorpio

[21:07] coincides with the part of the year in

[21:10] the northern hemisphere where Western

[21:11] astrology was created where all of the

[21:14] leaves are falling off of the trees and

[21:17] there's this sense of things going

[21:19] through the natural cycle of death uh in

[21:23] preparation eventually for a rebirth the

[21:26] next spring. But nonetheless, there's

[21:28] this component where in Libra and

[21:31] Scorpio where the light is beginning to

[21:33] fade, the concept of darkness is

[21:36] increasing and there are some notions of

[21:38] like death and dying or decay that are

[21:42] becoming more prominent at that time.

[21:44] And one of the things about that then in

[21:48] conceptualizing Scorpio as a fixed water

[21:50] sign and thinking about Venus spending a

[21:52] lot of time there that comes up is um

[21:56] like the notion of cemeteries and the mo

[21:59] the feelings the fixed feelings that are

[22:02] associated with cemeteries where a

[22:04] cemetery is not just a place that

[22:05] somebody goes or you go to and there's

[22:08] just a bunch of dead people there but in

[22:10] fact if you go to a cemetery you'll

[22:13] often see um hundreds and hundreds of

[22:16] flowers because there'll be people that

[22:19] return there over and over again that

[22:21] are still alive in order to go back and

[22:24] to visit loved ones that have passed

[22:27] away. And in that way, a cemetery

[22:29] actually has a very deep reservoir of

[22:33] emotion and connection with the past and

[22:36] an enduring sense of permanence in the

[22:39] sense that the people that go to the

[22:41] cemetery think of the people that died

[22:43] and they're always thinking of a fixed

[22:45] memory because each of the people that

[22:47] passed away is sort of locked in time at

[22:49] whatever age they passed away.

[22:52] So that was a an image for me that came

[22:54] up during this Venus retrograde in

[22:56] Scorpio as I was trying to understand

[22:58] better some of the the positive and

[23:01] constructive but also deeper meanings of

[23:04] Venus in Scorpio as a fixed water sign

[23:07] and that's been some of the more um

[23:10] positive ways that I've sort of come to

[23:12] an understanding of it or I've seen it

[23:14] manifesting in recent times. So, in news

[23:17] stories, as I've talked about in the

[23:18] past few episodes, there's been,

[23:21] especially because it was squaring Pluto

[23:22] and Mars, there's also been a lot of um

[23:26] tougher significations.

[23:28] So toxic relationships and like struggle

[23:31] love has been like a major theme of

[23:33] Venus retrograde in Scorpio as well as

[23:36] sometimes um themes where you get that

[23:38] fixed theme. But if it's um in a toxic

[23:42] or negative sense in terms of

[23:43] relationships, it can become uh themes

[23:47] of like obsession or like stalking or

[23:50] power dynamics or other things like that

[23:52] have become very prominent over the last

[23:54] month in some relationships or in some

[23:57] news stories. Um there's also sometime

[24:00] in instances of like deep betrayals and

[24:03] different things like that. So, I've

[24:05] also seen as I as I mentioned a bunch of

[24:08] stories involving really difficult

[24:10] dynamics with the mother, uh, family

[24:13] trauma,

[24:15] sometimes postpartum themes, which is

[24:17] another adjacent thing when it comes to

[24:19] mother issues or toxic mother issues.

[24:22] Uh, there's been a lot of unbearing of

[24:25] hidden secrets from the past. Like one

[24:27] of my favorite ones was how uh I had

[24:30] found in the history episode that Amelia

[24:32] Heheart was declared dead back in like

[24:34] 1938 under a Venus retrograde in Scorpio

[24:37] or just after it. And now recently there

[24:40] was a crew who of researchers who went

[24:43] out because they thought that they saw a

[24:46] on a satellite image like her plane.

[24:48] They thought they had found her plane

[24:50] and they sent out a whole expedition to

[24:52] search to see if that was actually it.

[24:55] Um, I don't know what happened with

[24:56] that. I think they may have found that

[24:58] it was like trees or maybe they're still

[25:00] investigating it. I'm not really sure.

[25:02] But the point was that the story came

[25:04] back from the past and there was this

[25:06] sense of trying to unearth or attempting

[25:09] to unravel buried secrets and that was

[25:13] coming up with Venus. But I think that

[25:15] theme is going to continue and intensify

[25:17] in some ways as we get Mercury going

[25:20] retrograde over the next few weeks as

[25:21] well. Um, all right. other things, a lot

[25:25] of like espionage, leaked files, hidden

[25:28] cameras, whistleblowers. I think a lot

[25:30] of that's going to get intensified with

[25:31] Mercury going retrograde in Scorpio this

[25:33] month. And it's already come up a lot

[25:35] with just the Venus retrograde. We've

[25:38] got a lot of true crime and like cold

[25:40] cases being solved or being revisited in

[25:43] some ways. like the guy that uh was one

[25:48] of the guys involved in the murder of

[25:49] Tupac was like committed was convicted

[25:52] under this Venus retrograde just

[25:53] recently or uh there was new information

[25:57] about the OJ Simpson case which that

[26:00] court case really got started under the

[26:02] Venus retrograde in Scorpio 1994 and

[26:04] then all of a sudden there's news

[26:06] headlines recently about

[26:09] um him having a possible accomplice or

[26:12] or that there may have been another

[26:14] person involved in in those murders with

[26:16] him. So sometimes like cold cases

[26:19] getting solved are coming back again in

[26:21] different ways. Actually, there was

[26:22] another one with that where the they may

[26:24] have identified the Tylenol

[26:26] uh cyanide killer from like 1982 and a

[26:30] new group was like alleging that they

[26:32] think they've identified the guy. So,

[26:34] we'll probably see a continuation of

[26:35] that during the course of this month,

[26:37] especially because um the Mercury

[26:40] retrograde, it's going to retrograde

[26:42] back and it's going to square

[26:44] uh Pluto. So, we're going to get an

[26:46] intensification of some of those Pluto

[26:48] themes as well. Although, maybe I'll

[26:50] I'll save that since um we'll talk about

[26:53] that more later in the month. There's

[26:56] been a theme of like poisons and

[26:57] pollutions and different things like

[26:59] that which is a recurrence of some of

[27:01] like 1960s environmental focus and like

[27:05] silent spring type dynamics as well as

[27:07] the founding of the EPA but also just

[27:09] stories involving poisoning seem to come

[27:11] up in especially with Venus retrograde

[27:13] in Scorpio and with Mercury going

[27:16] retrograde there. I kind of suspect that

[27:19] part of what's going to happen is some

[27:21] of the things that happened when Venus

[27:23] was retrograde in Scorpio last month in

[27:25] October are going to be revisited and

[27:28] perhaps we're going to see some exposees

[27:30] where some things are discovered when

[27:32] Mercury goes retrograde in Scorpio, you

[27:35] know, around some of those same degrees.

[27:38] All right, so let me get back to the

[27:41] chart here, though. All right, here we

[27:44] go. So, we're back to the chart here.

[27:46] So,

[27:48] why I wanted to bring all of that up is

[27:50] because the month on November 4th is

[27:53] opening with this Mercury retrograde

[27:56] kazmi. And the kazmi always happens at

[27:59] the halfway point, right in the middle

[28:01] of the 3-week retrograde cycle. And

[28:04] usually at the kazmi I see some of the

[28:07] issues at the beginning that when

[28:09] Mercury stationed retrograde that

[28:11] involved miscommunications, delays,

[28:15] um, snafuss and technical glitches, they

[28:18] start to head towards a resolution at

[28:21] this point around November 4th. And

[28:23] they're not fully there yet. Uh, in

[28:26] fact, it'll still take another week and

[28:27] a half before Mercury stations direct

[28:30] and things become start to become more

[28:33] fully resolved. But there will be a

[28:36] glimmer of a light at the end of the

[28:38] tunnel and a vision of how things will

[28:42] be resolved around this point on

[28:43] November 4th. And part of the reason uh

[28:48] for that that's also helpful and it's

[28:51] one of my favorite and most positive

[28:53] aspects of this month that I think we

[28:55] get two of is on November 4th Venus

[28:58] which is retrograded back to 24° of

[29:02] Libra forms a sex tile with Jupiter at

[29:06] 24° of Leo. And this is actually I think

[29:09] one of the most positive aspects this

[29:11] month is are these two sex tiles that

[29:14] we're going to get. one towards the

[29:16] beginning and one towards the end of the

[29:17] month where first we get the retrograde

[29:19] one which is like Venus's return back to

[29:22] Libra. It has unfinished business in the

[29:24] Libra house or sector of our chart

[29:27] whatever whole sign house that is and

[29:29] it's forming this really favorable um

[29:32] it's kind of a weak it's a sex tile

[29:34] which is not the strongest aspect and

[29:36] it's also backwards in the order of

[29:37] signs. So, it's not super helpful for

[29:41] Jupiter. Uh, but Jupiter is trying to

[29:44] help out Venus as Venus is returning

[29:47] back to the Libra sector of our chart.

[29:49] So, it's probably more more helpful for

[29:51] Venus and less helpful for Jupiter. But,

[29:54] I think this is going to help us to

[29:57] resolve some of the things that both the

[29:59] Mercury retrograde and the Venus

[30:00] retrograde have brought up in the

[30:02] Scorpio and Libra sectors of our birth

[30:04] charts. Especially because there's

[30:07] probably some connection between those

[30:09] two topics or those two areas of our

[30:11] lives because Venus is retrograde

[30:14] retrograded from Scorpio into Libra. And

[30:18] what I've noticed in the last three

[30:19] Venus retrogrades is often times when a

[30:22] retrograde crosses a sign boundary, it

[30:25] will connect the topics associated with

[30:27] those two whole sign houses in our

[30:29] chart. So for example, if like I don't

[30:33] know if Scorpio is your 10th house and

[30:35] Libra is your 9inth house, it may

[30:37] connect the topics of career and travel.

[30:41] Or if uh let's say let's say Scorpio is

[30:46] your 7th house and Libra is your sixth

[30:50] house. It may connect topics of like

[30:52] work and health. So pay attention to

[30:57] those two houses, especially this month,

[30:59] because there will probably be some

[31:01] overlapping connections between those

[31:04] topics or those areas of your life that

[31:06] are otherwise normally separate if you

[31:08] pay attention. And I think that's where

[31:10] some of the resolution is going to come,

[31:12] especially around the middle of the

[31:13] month when both Mercury and Venus

[31:16] station direct in those signs on the

[31:18] same day and begin moving forward.

[31:20] Again, let me do just I wrote down a few

[31:24] keywords for Venus Jupiter that might be

[31:27] worth just mentioning here to give you

[31:30] just some ideas of what you might be

[31:31] seeing in the Libra sect of your chart

[31:34] and to a lesser extent the the Leo

[31:36] sector across the Venus Jupiter sexile

[31:40] axis where there may be some sort of

[31:42] like welcome relief of something that's

[31:44] been really heavy up to this point or

[31:46] where you've been struggling with

[31:47] something giving you a little bit of

[31:49] breathing room or a little bit of grace.

[31:52] Um, sometimes there can be like warm

[31:54] gatherings, like a light warm gathering

[31:56] or a celebration or some socializing

[31:58] that feels good to have some good

[32:00] company where you're sort of sharing a

[32:03] little bit of joy or humor. It's just a

[32:05] sexile, so it's not like going to be

[32:07] crazy good, but it's a little little

[32:09] something. And we'll take anything we

[32:10] can get this month, especially coming

[32:12] out of October with all the super super

[32:14] heavy and sometimes toxic stuff. Um,

[32:18] there can be an a reconciliation or

[32:21] developing some sort of feelings of

[32:23] forgiveness where you maybe after a long

[32:27] conflict with somebody, especially one

[32:29] that's been happening during the course

[32:30] of this Venus retrograde, you might

[32:33] consider extending an olive branch to

[32:35] that person or reaching out and maybe

[32:39] starting to, I don't know, establish

[32:41] some sort of good goodwill or some sort

[32:43] of harmony between the two of you. Even

[32:46] if it's something that feels a little

[32:48] bit tenuous or a little bit um yeah, a

[32:52] little bit weak at first because you're

[32:54] coming out of a period of conflict or a

[32:56] period in which maybe there was a

[32:57] separation or a disruption in the

[32:59] relationship, but this is at least

[33:01] providing some sort of opportunity for

[33:04] for reconciliation.

[33:06] Um, it can be a good period for

[33:08] generosity and maybe offering a gift to

[33:12] somebody or receiving a gift, doing

[33:15] favors or otherwise just having some

[33:17] sense of mutual support between two

[33:20] people, especially in the Libra and the

[33:22] Leo sectors of your chart can be really

[33:25] helpful. Um,

[33:28] I would hope that there's like like

[33:29] sometimes during Venus Jupiter aspects

[33:32] we've seen peacemaking and like

[33:34] diplomatic breakthroughs or finding

[33:36] common ground or or sometimes making

[33:38] compromises in a person's personal life

[33:41] because of some of the stuff happening

[33:43] later this month that we end the month

[33:46] with like the Mars Jupiter conjunction

[33:48] and then Mars going into Virgo and

[33:50] squaring Uranus right at the very

[33:52] beginning of December. I'm not super

[33:56] like optimistic about some of that.

[33:58] There may be some like light

[34:00] news headlines about like diplomatic

[34:03] breakthroughs or peacemaking happening

[34:05] around this time, but I sort of suspect

[34:07] that some of that is going to fade away

[34:09] pretty dramatically later in the month

[34:12] and in early December when we hit some

[34:13] of the tense aspects that we talk about

[34:15] later in this episode. But nonetheless,

[34:17] I'll mention that because it did kind of

[34:19] come up in June where around the Venus

[34:21] Jupiter conjunction just after it, there

[34:24] were some announcements about, you know,

[34:27] peace deals and those lasted for a few

[34:29] weeks until the Mars Uranus conjunction

[34:32] hit and then of course everything fell

[34:34] apart.

[34:35] Um, yeah. So those are some of the

[34:38] things I wanted to mention about

[34:40] positive things happening at the

[34:42] beginning of the month around this kazmi

[34:44] of Mercury and the sun and especially

[34:46] the sex tile between Venus and Jupiter

[34:49] which again because Venus is still

[34:51] retrograde we'll still have this

[34:53] backwards looking orientation of

[34:54] probably trying to fix or smooth out

[34:56] something from the past. Um but

[35:01] things start to change immediately after

[35:05] that because the next day on we go into

[35:10] November 5th and one of the things

[35:12] that's really important is that Mars

[35:14] enters its shadow degree at 20° of Leo

[35:17] on November 5th.

[35:20] So let me put up the Mars retrograde

[35:25] diagram again to show you why that's

[35:27] important.

[35:28] All right. So, here's the Mars

[35:30] retrograde diagram. And the reason why

[35:32] this is important on November 5th is

[35:36] Mars passes over the degree of 20° of

[35:39] Leo that it's going to eventually

[35:41] retrograde all the way back to and

[35:43] station direct at on April 1st. So it

[35:47] means like anything past this point,

[35:50] sometimes there'll be events that happen

[35:54] uh after this point where we'll get a

[35:56] transit especially to our natal chart

[35:59] and we'll have some experience of that

[36:01] either being uh a little bit

[36:04] constructive or alternatively very

[36:06] annoying and problematic and tense and

[36:08] conflict oriented. But we'll think that

[36:11] it's like something that's one and done

[36:13] and then we'll we'll attempt to move on

[36:14] from it. But then for some reason, Mars

[36:17] will go retrograde in January and

[36:19] February and March, and it'll grind back

[36:24] over and return back to those degrees

[36:26] for a second or eventually a third exact

[36:30] hit to whatever that natal placement is

[36:32] in our birth chart. And often times when

[36:34] that happens, it signals the unfolding

[36:37] of a sequence of events or sometimes a

[36:40] sequence of of either direct action or a

[36:44] sequence of more direct conflict that

[36:47] plays out over an extended period of

[36:49] time. So, I'm going to be paying

[36:51] attention to especially like events in

[36:54] time that are connected to early

[36:56] November once Mars enters that shadow

[36:59] degree that end up being connected to

[37:02] that period in early April when Mars

[37:05] returns to that degree. But also really

[37:07] it's just opening up an entire span of

[37:09] time where Mars is going to hit any

[37:12] natal planets within that range of

[37:13] degrees between 20 Leo and 10° of Virgo

[37:18] three exact times over the course of the

[37:20] next several months.

[37:22] So pay attention to that. All right. So

[37:26] Mars enters its shadow on the 5th. The

[37:29] next major event I wanted to mention is

[37:31] just we get our first lunation 4 days

[37:34] later on November 9th. And this is going

[37:37] to be a new moon in the sign of Scorpio.

[37:41] So, let me

[37:44] animate the chart and move it to that

[37:46] exact. It takes it takes place like

[37:48] right on the boundary between days

[37:50] depending on your time zone. But on like

[37:52] East Coast time, it's November 9th

[37:54] already at about 16 degrees of Scorpio.

[37:59] And there's kind of like good news and

[38:01] bad news with this one. Um,

[38:04] the

[38:06] good news is that it's still pretty

[38:08] close to that Venus Jupiter sex tile

[38:11] where Venus is at like 23° of Libra and

[38:14] it's sexile to Jupiter at 25° of Leo,

[38:17] although it's moving pretty far away.

[38:20] The other good news is that it's ruled

[38:22] by Mars,

[38:25] which then is applying to that sex tile

[38:28] with Venus. So on the one hand we have

[38:30] Mars and Jupiter which are forming a

[38:32] conjunction in the sky which I'll talk

[38:34] about in a little bit that I'm nervous

[38:36] about because it tends to expand

[38:39] conflicts and it tends to indicate

[38:41] things like mobilization and there's a

[38:44] tension between war and peace which is

[38:47] going to be the major focal point this

[38:49] month as those two planets are coming

[38:51] together especially midmon from the the

[38:54] middle of November onwards they start

[38:56] getting very close to not just a

[38:59] conjunction of Mars and Jupiter, but a

[39:01] triple conjunction of Mars and Jupiter

[39:03] and the South Node. And um earlier

[39:06] around this new moon and and prior to

[39:09] it, it's like Venus is in there trying

[39:12] to help out to offset things and to try

[39:16] to to shift things more towards the

[39:18] peaceful aspects of what Jupiter wants

[39:22] to indicate. So Venus is helping to

[39:24] balance things out and make things more

[39:25] peaceful here around the time of this

[39:27] new moon um earlier in the month by

[39:31] applying to that sex tile with Mars. But

[39:34] the downside is it only lasts for so

[39:37] long and Mars is going to clear that

[39:40] sexile with Venus pretty quickly and

[39:41] then just head straight for the

[39:42] conjunction with Jupiter and the south

[39:44] node after that. But at least for this

[39:47] new moon, I like the sexile with Venus

[39:50] and Mars and Jupiter. The only downside

[39:54] is like it looks like the next aspect

[39:56] after the moon itself conjoins the sun

[40:00] is that it then applies to a square with

[40:02] Mars. So, I think that's giving um some

[40:06] intimations of some of the conflict and

[40:08] some of the tensions that are going to

[40:10] be coming up over the course of the next

[40:12] month, especially once we get two weeks

[40:15] into this lunation cycle and once we hit

[40:18] the the next and second lunation of the

[40:20] month, which is a full moon, which is

[40:22] going to be closely conjunct Uranus, and

[40:26] amplifying what will eventually be what

[40:29] we'll end the month with, which is a

[40:30] very tense and very um chaotic and

[40:34] volatile square between Mars and Uranus

[40:37] that's coming up in late November and

[40:39] early December.

[40:41] So good things and bad things is on the

[40:44] one hand you're like closing out a cycle

[40:47] here a a lunation cycle with the sun

[40:50] moon conjunction and having some of

[40:52] those resolving conflicts and attempting

[40:56] to put a peaceful end to some of the

[40:58] things that happened in the last month

[41:00] especially under the Venus retrograde

[41:02] and the Mercury retrograde and

[41:04] especially as those two planets are only

[41:07] four degrees 4 days from stationing

[41:09] direct at this point. But on the other

[41:11] hand, there's some not good intimations

[41:14] for the future with the moon applying to

[41:16] square Mars and Mars applying to conjoin

[41:18] Jupiter.

[41:20] So this brings us to the next aspect

[41:22] which is the first huge turning point

[41:24] this month which is on November 13th and

[41:28] this is when both Mercury and Venus

[41:32] simultaneously stationed direct

[41:35] basically at the same time around the

[41:37] same day which is a super unique and

[41:41] uncommon thing to happen because both of

[41:43] their retrograde cycles are so different

[41:46] where Mercury goes retrograde for 3

[41:48] weeks three times times a year. Venus

[41:50] only goes retrograde every like year and

[41:53] a half for about 40 days. And to have

[41:56] both of those direct stations and both

[41:59] of those retrograde cycles end on the

[42:01] exact same day really gives this sense

[42:04] that in two separate areas of our life.

[42:08] Uh a lot of us are going to feel this

[42:10] period of after treading water for the

[42:13] past several weeks, especially the past

[42:15] 3 to four weeks, this feeling of

[42:18] suddenly emerging from the swamp and

[42:21] starting to slowly move forward again.

[42:25] So that may indicate that there's like

[42:27] some delays in things that happen

[42:29] earlier in the month that aren't fully

[42:32] resolved until the middle of the month.

[42:34] I remember there's one of the elections

[42:37] like a few years ago, maybe it was the

[42:38] 2020 one where it happened right when

[42:40] Mercury was stationing direct and it

[42:43] took forever to like count the votes and

[42:45] there was like delays in really fully

[42:47] determining the outcome of that election

[42:49] to a certain extent. Um, so there may be

[42:52] like a similar feeling here where

[42:54] there's some things that are still in a

[42:56] process of like slowness and delay and

[43:00] and miscommunication

[43:02] and sort of being up in the air or

[43:04] undecided in some sense, especially in

[43:07] our personal lives. But then all of a

[43:09] sudden on November 13th, there is this

[43:11] very notable turning point where things

[43:14] start moving forward again, albeit very

[43:17] slowly and very cautiously.

[43:20] So, I think that's really good news. Um

[43:23] because

[43:24] both of those retrogrades, I guess we're

[43:27] just getting into the Mercury

[43:28] retrograde, but especially the Venus

[43:29] retrograde has already brought up so

[43:31] much stuff sometimes like toxic like

[43:34] underworldly stuff or stuff that people

[43:36] are processing in terms of their

[43:39] interpersonal relationships, in terms of

[43:42] stuff that's brought up from the past,

[43:44] in terms of current circumstances and

[43:47] their attitudes towards things. Um, but

[43:50] at this point, we're finally going to

[43:52] start to feel that there's some

[43:53] resolution with all of the things that

[43:56] both of those planets have been bringing

[43:57] up in our lives. And I think that's

[43:59] definitely something to look forward to.

[44:02] The only downside is it's like, you

[44:05] know, Mercury has the the sorry, Venus

[44:07] has the lovely sexile

[44:10] sex tiles with Jupiter and Mars while

[44:12] it's stationing direct. So it's like it

[44:14] feels like the Venus retrograde is

[44:16] ending on a more positive note than

[44:19] where it started where it like stationed

[44:22] retrograde where the with those really

[44:24] tense and toxic squares with Mars and

[44:26] Pluto.

[44:28] Mercury on the other hand is retrograded

[44:30] back super early in Scorpio to early 5°

[44:33] of Scorpio and it's stationing direct

[44:36] square Pluto which is at about 3° of

[44:39] Aquarius having recently over the past

[44:41] month station station direct in Aquarius

[44:44] in that sign. So with the Mercury direct

[44:48] station, even though there's this sense

[44:49] of like forward movement suddenly after

[44:53] a period of looking back into the past

[44:55] or a period of things glitching out and

[44:59] like slowing down and going ary, um

[45:02] there's a tension to the forward

[45:05] momentum and the turning point that

[45:07] Mercury has at this point due to that

[45:08] Mercury Pluto square. And some of the

[45:11] different keywords that we often see

[45:12] come up during Mercury Pluto squares are

[45:15] like there can be investigative

[45:17] breakthroughs where we've seen a bunch

[45:20] of instances of like reporters that are

[45:22] like digging up buried truths or

[45:24] exposees coming out or there can be like

[45:27] whistleblowers or leaked documents or

[45:30] other things like that are pretty

[45:31] common. We've seen over the past several

[45:33] years of forecast episodes.

[45:36] And one of the things with that that's

[45:39] actually really interesting is like with

[45:40] the website hack and the um website

[45:45] vulnerabilities that were just announced

[45:47] over the past few days and a bunch of

[45:49] government agencies like announced that

[45:50] like everybody needs to patch these

[45:52] immediately.

[45:54] Um, some of the reports are saying that

[45:56] a lot of the websites are going to be

[45:59] vulnerable, but that some of the people

[46:03] getting hacked may not know about it

[46:05] until later, that it's only going to be

[46:07] later that a lot of people realize that

[46:10] somebody got into their system and did

[46:11] something weird with their website. And

[46:13] so I sort of think of that when I'm

[46:16] looking at this Mercury stationing

[46:18] direct in Scorpio but squaring Pluto is

[46:21] like suddenly having a realization or

[46:25] having something dug up and having the

[46:27] truth suddenly become clear but that it

[46:30] was about something recently happening

[46:32] in the past during the course of this

[46:34] Mercury retrograde that might not have

[46:35] been good or may have had an

[46:37] underworldly or sort of like even

[46:39] criminal component.

[46:41] So that's going to be one element to

[46:43] watch out for with Mercury Stationing

[46:44] Direct. Even though ultimately it's

[46:46] good, it's like if somebody finds out

[46:47] that their website was hacked at that

[46:49] time, they will have the opportunity

[46:52] hopefully to fix it and then to start

[46:54] slowly moving forward again and

[46:56] rebuilding things, but that's still

[46:58] going to be a bit of a process. And so

[47:01] that's going to be happening in whatever

[47:02] the Scorpio house is in each of our

[47:04] charts. But with Mercury Pluto

[47:06] combinations, there can also be periods

[47:09] of like obsessive thinking that we'll

[47:11] have to watch out for and like mental

[47:13] fixation of kind of going down rabbit

[47:17] holes or getting into compulsive

[47:19] research periods. And you kind of have

[47:21] to watch out a little bit for developing

[47:24] tunnel tunnel vision during those times,

[47:26] especially because Mercury is going to

[47:28] hold that square for such an extended

[47:30] period around that week. Um, sometimes

[47:34] there can be some really harsh truths

[47:36] that come out at this time and some

[47:38] people having tough conversations or or

[47:41] confrontational conversations that kind

[47:44] of like cut to the core uh where

[47:47] sometimes like the quiet part can be

[47:48] said out loud. And you have to be really

[47:51] careful if you get into one of those

[47:54] those dynamics or one of those

[47:55] conversations to not

[47:59] not exert power over somebody or not

[48:02] exert it in a way that's inappropriate

[48:04] or a way that's overly controlling or

[48:06] manipulative because sometimes that can

[48:08] come up with Mercury Pluto. Um,

[48:11] especially when people get into like

[48:12] verbal power struggles where they're

[48:14] giving like ultimatums or there's a

[48:17] sense of coercion or or trying to

[48:19] control a person or control a narrative.

[48:21] I'm sure we'll see a lot of that when it

[48:23] comes to headlines around the time of

[48:25] Mercury stationing. Sometimes there can

[48:27] be like censorship or themes of secrecy

[48:30] that come up with Mercury Pluto. Um,

[48:33] I've talked about the cyber

[48:35] vulnerabilities and data breaches, but

[48:37] also issues with like spyware

[48:40] revelations or deep tech glitches

[48:44] probably becoming more clear during that

[48:46] time. I'll talk about some of that a

[48:48] little bit later with some of the things

[48:49] that are changing with the Uranus Pluto

[48:51] trine that's happening later this month.

[48:54] Um but the final thing is I want to

[48:56] mention about the Mercury square Pluto

[48:58] as Mercury stations direct in Scorpio is

[49:01] so many people have been doing so much

[49:03] intense work in the Scorpio sector and

[49:06] some of the toxic dynamics that have

[49:08] been dredged up or the things from the

[49:10] past. Sometimes this can be really

[49:12] useful and I'm hoping people are able to

[49:14] use this Mercury direct station to

[49:16] develop some really deep introspective

[49:19] and like psychological insights. And

[49:22] sometimes people can have really deep

[49:24] like therapy breakthroughs around this

[49:26] time around the time of the Mercury

[49:28] Pluto square doing things like shadow

[49:31] work or recovering the root work or the

[49:34] root cause of a problem. And that work

[49:38] is often times not easy. Like it can

[49:41] bring up some really difficult or even

[49:43] traumatic things. But sometimes you can

[49:46] have insights during the course of that

[49:48] process that can truly change your life

[49:51] for the better if you come to an

[49:54] understanding not just of like other

[49:56] people's actions and motivations in your

[49:59] life, but also in reflecting on your own

[50:02] actions and motivations and truly

[50:05] getting a deeper sense of who you are

[50:07] and what makes you tick and um how you

[50:11] can improve things in order to

[50:14] communicate. with other people better or

[50:16] in order to have relationships with

[50:18] other people better if you understand

[50:20] some of your own deepest um tendencies

[50:25] and sometimes unconscious types of

[50:28] actions or or themes that you tend to

[50:31] repeat in life.

[50:33] So that is that is those are the the

[50:36] pluses and minuses with Mercury

[50:38] stationing direct in Scorpio square

[50:40] Pluto this month around November 13th.

[50:44] All right. So, this is one of the

[50:45] turning points in the month after

[50:47] Mercury and Venus station direct is a

[50:50] few days later like during the course of

[50:53] this week basically uh Mars conjoins the

[50:57] south node at this time in the middle of

[51:00] November and around the same time

[51:03] immediately after that Mars conjoins

[51:05] Jupiter on November 15th and 16th and

[51:11] around the same time the sun is like

[51:13] coming up to a square with the nodes, a

[51:17] square with Jupiter, and eventually a

[51:18] square with around Mars at the same

[51:20] time. This combination is really tricky.

[51:24] It's really complicated and problematic

[51:27] and I've been trying to

[51:31] figure out how to talk about it because

[51:33] each of these combinations

[51:36] like does something different and it's

[51:38] kind of hard to synthesize them

[51:40] especially because um this triple

[51:43] combination of Mars, South Node and

[51:45] Jupiter is actually pretty rare. Uh I

[51:48] found one about a century ago in like

[51:50] 1905 1906 that was this close but

[51:54] otherwise historically those those

[51:56] combinations don't tend to happen that

[51:59] close in the order of degrees very

[52:01] frequently.

[52:03] So let me break down one or two of them

[52:06] separately because that'll kind of give

[52:08] us a little bit of insight. So one of

[52:10] the themes that came up very clearly

[52:13] earlier this year when we were at the

[52:15] Mars Jupiter opposition

[52:18] is that fundamentally at the core uh

[52:22] Mars is the planet of war and conflict

[52:25] and Jupiter is the planet of peace. And

[52:29] at the Mars Jupiter opposition earlier

[52:31] this year, for example, we had the

[52:33] sudden um very rapid conflict where the

[52:38] US invaded Venezuela and abducted the

[52:41] president of of Venezuela at that time

[52:45] and there was this sudden like

[52:46] puncturing of the concept of peace

[52:50] basically. And anytime Mars and Jupiter

[52:53] are in especially a hard aspect, there's

[52:55] a major tension between these these

[52:59] tendencies or these archetypes of war

[53:01] and peace. And so there can be themes

[53:04] where it can shift to either side of

[53:06] either escalating a conflict in a major

[53:10] way. So Jupiter's like the planet of

[53:12] expansion and Mars is the planet of war.

[53:14] So if you put those together, sometimes

[53:15] you get the expansion and escalation and

[53:19] amplification of a conflict. Other times

[53:22] you can have attempts to like broker a

[53:24] peace or to intervene decisively or put

[53:28] some sort of deterrence in place. Uh so

[53:31] these themes of like mitigation versus

[53:34] amplification are going to be very

[53:37] prominent this month. Um both in mundane

[53:39] events but also in terms of our personal

[53:42] lives as well. thinking about what sign

[53:46] Leo coincides with coincides with in

[53:48] your chart and that there's going to be

[53:50] this intense for some of us tension

[53:54] either where something is escalating and

[53:57] it gets out of control worse or

[53:59] alternatively where you're successful in

[54:03] tamping something down and bringing a

[54:06] greater sense of peace um by intervening

[54:10] very decisively in order to uphold that.

[54:13] Essentially,

[54:15] um, in a lot of the ancient delineations

[54:18] like in Vadius Valins and stuff, they

[54:20] talk about Mars, Jupiter combinations

[54:21] having to do with military leadership,

[54:24] like generals and commanders. And

[54:26] there's these themes of like mobilizing

[54:29] forces and creating strategic alliances.

[54:34] Sometimes it can be about taking really

[54:36] bold actions that involve courage or

[54:39] taking a really big swing at something

[54:42] which you know sometimes you can be s

[54:44] take a big swing and be successful and

[54:47] other times you can take a big swing and

[54:48] just absolutely miss the mark and whiff

[54:51] it and um sort of like crash and burn as

[54:55] a result of that. But the tendency to

[54:58] want to take some sort of bold action is

[55:00] going to be amplified at this time. Um

[55:03] I'm a little concerned that most of the

[55:06] attempts at action and especially taking

[55:08] big or bold actions around this time

[55:11] will have a tendency to either be

[55:14] unsuccessful due to the the simultaneous

[55:17] conjunction with the south node which

[55:19] has a tendency to indicate themes of

[55:21] decrease and of loss. Um but also

[55:25] alternatively the south node can also

[55:28] show things that become like hidden or

[55:31] covert in some ways uh where you can

[55:35] have an action that's taken but it

[55:37] happens in a way that's not apparent or

[55:40] where where it's happening sort of like

[55:42] underneath the surface and I'll talk

[55:44] about some examples of that in just just

[55:46] a little bit. So, one of the dangers

[55:49] with Mars Jupiter actions is a tendency

[55:53] to overreach. like I said to like take a

[55:56] big swing but then to completely

[55:58] overreach or to have a sense of like

[56:00] hubris or the idea that you can be like

[56:03] overly confident in something and as a

[56:05] result of your rashness or recklessness

[56:09] that you take a risk that uh kind of

[56:12] blows up in your face and that that's

[56:15] another actually Mars Jupiter

[56:17] combination keyword that we've seen over

[56:20] the past few years which is like

[56:22] something that blows up and it becomes

[56:24] like big explosion

[56:26] because Mars can indicate fires or

[56:28] explosions and Jupiter uh just makes

[56:32] everything it touches much bigger and as

[56:34] big as it can possibly get.

[56:37] Um sometimes people get into like

[56:40] fighting for their beliefs or like

[56:42] ideological crusades or legal battles

[56:45] around this time. So that's something to

[56:48] pay attention to uh with Mars Jupiter

[56:50] combinations especially in whatever

[56:52] house it falls in your chart. Um and the

[56:54] last thing is sometimes like yeah really

[56:57] costly gamles can come up and sometimes

[57:00] like somebody can gamble and take a big

[57:03] risk and win big but other times a

[57:05] person can gamble and lose big and

[57:08] basically lose everything. And I think

[57:10] for a lot of people it's going to come

[57:12] down to how this is hitting your chart

[57:14] whether you have like a day chart or a

[57:16] night chart whether it's making positive

[57:17] or negative aspects to natal planets in

[57:20] your chart and other things like that.

[57:22] But the tendency is just going to be to

[57:25] make really big bold moves and then some

[57:28] people are going to be really successful

[57:30] in that and other people are going to

[57:32] fall short and it's not going to work

[57:35] out very well at all. So, one of the

[57:38] things I've been researching this for

[57:41] the past few months like in the US birth

[57:43] chart episode and especially focused on

[57:47] Mars South node conjunctions because I

[57:50] kept seeing those come up as problematic

[57:52] in different ways in like US history or

[57:56] other world history events where I kept

[57:58] seeing instances of like surprise

[58:01] attacks and ambushes and undeclared

[58:04] blitzes and sort of like coordinated

[58:07] strikes from the shadows coming up at

[58:09] different points. Um, including

[58:12] instances where there were like attacks

[58:14] in disguise or bypassing defensive

[58:18] defenses and different things like that.

[58:21] In the US birth chart episode, it's like

[58:24] I mentioned how um Mars was conjunct the

[58:27] South Node around the time of the

[58:30] September 11th attacks in 2001. And so

[58:33] it's like with that there were, you

[58:36] know, hijackers that were kind of like

[58:39] disguised in a sense or or disguising

[58:42] what their goal was and then all of a

[58:44] sudden like struck and I I think that

[58:46] was part of the hidden notion of the

[58:48] south node node to a certain extent or

[58:52] the Norway attacks in 2011

[58:55] um happened on a Mars South node

[58:59] conjunction and there was like a bomb

[59:01] that was used as a diversion. and then

[59:04] uh somebody did a massacre or um the

[59:08] October 7th attack, the surprise attack

[59:10] of uh Hamas on Israel happened on a Mars

[59:14] South node conjunction in 2023.

[59:17] Or in 1941, I I found that Operation

[59:20] Barbosa was this like surprise attack

[59:23] where where Hitler and the Nazis

[59:25] suddenly invaded the Soviet Union and

[59:28] broke a peace treaty between the two on

[59:30] a Mars South node conjunction or even

[59:33] the Korean War um broke out around the

[59:37] time of the 1950s Mars South node

[59:41] conjunction. So in terms of like mundane

[59:45] events that's not like a super great

[59:47] series of just like historical ones

[59:51] and I also noticed some financial ones

[59:53] that were kind of tricky where um that

[59:56] were Mars South node conjunctions where

[59:59] for example the biggest one was uh

[1:00:01] around the black Thursday crash in 1929

[1:00:04] there was this Wall Street panic um that

[1:00:07] happened right around the Mars South

[1:00:09] node conjunction and it triggered crash

[1:00:12] and and and essentially triggered the

[1:00:14] Great Depression at that point. or the

[1:00:17] Black Monday crash in 1987 was also very

[1:00:21] close to a Mars South node conjunction

[1:00:23] or even more recently if you remember in

[1:00:26] early 2020 there was a Mars South node

[1:00:29] conjunction around February and that's

[1:00:32] right around the same time that like

[1:00:34] Italy announces lockdowns and the Dow

[1:00:37] Jones in the US plummeted 1,000 points

[1:00:41] in a single day on on the day of that

[1:00:44] Mars South node conjunction. So

[1:00:46] sometimes there's like these sudden

[1:00:48] drops or these sudden decreases in

[1:00:50] things that can even happen in like

[1:00:53] financial sectors and I think some of

[1:00:55] that's exacerbated when we're thinking

[1:00:58] about Jupiter being there and sort of

[1:01:00] like blowing things up in some sense.

[1:01:03] Let's see. Speaking of blowing things

[1:01:04] up, the first Soviet use of the Hbomb

[1:01:08] happened on a Mars South node

[1:01:09] conjunction 1953.

[1:01:11] We also had um in Germany in like the

[1:01:14] 1930s

[1:01:16] there was a whole constitutional crisis

[1:01:18] and the dissolusion of the Weimar

[1:01:21] Republic democracy happened around the

[1:01:24] 1932 1933

[1:01:27] triple conjunction between Mars and the

[1:01:30] South Node which is like Hitler being

[1:01:32] named Chancellor in J Germany in January

[1:01:35] and then the Reich stag fire and

[1:01:38] essentially by March the act that

[1:01:41] dissolved the democracy. Um, that one's

[1:01:43] a little complicated because what's

[1:01:45] interesting about that is that is a Mars

[1:01:47] Jupiter south node conjunction, but it

[1:01:51] also had Neptune in there famously as

[1:01:53] well, which I think was the Reich stag

[1:01:55] fire component where there was like Mars

[1:01:58] Neptune and the potential for like a

[1:01:59] false flag or like using something as an

[1:02:02] excuse. But um nonetheless that is

[1:02:06] interesting the the combination of those

[1:02:08] three there with Mars, Jupiter and the

[1:02:11] south node. And then finally even um I

[1:02:15] noticed 1953 there was a Mars South node

[1:02:18] conjun conjunction around the time that

[1:02:21] the Iranian prime minister Mosedc uh

[1:02:24] dissolved the par parliament. But then

[1:02:27] this is essentially what triggered the

[1:02:30] CIA and MI6 to do a coup to restore or

[1:02:35] to install the Shaw at that point in

[1:02:37] August. So it's like there's some themes

[1:02:40] and recurrences there. And

[1:02:43] this is stuff I want to um research more

[1:02:47] to understand and maybe do full episodes

[1:02:50] on. But as I was trying to understand

[1:02:52] some of the potential for recurrences or

[1:02:55] like historical instances of some of

[1:02:57] these extremely rare conjunctions that

[1:02:59] we're seeing this month, um, these are

[1:03:02] some of the things that I was coming up

[1:03:04] with that are giving me pause because

[1:03:07] they don't they don't sound super great

[1:03:10] in terms of like historical precedence.

[1:03:13] All right. So, those are some of the

[1:03:14] things as I was thinking about this when

[1:03:17] it comes to the Mars South node

[1:03:19] conjunction and how that combines with

[1:03:21] Jupiter in the US birth chart episode.

[1:03:25] It was interesting because when I

[1:03:27] established historically that the Libra

[1:03:29] rising birth chart was actually the most

[1:03:33] plausibly want plausible one. Um, it

[1:03:37] allowed me to situate when I was doing

[1:03:39] some of the historical research of

[1:03:41] events in US history,

[1:03:44] one of the things I found was like the

[1:03:46] Mars Mars South node conjunctions were

[1:03:49] kind of matching up with the house

[1:03:50] significations where for example the

[1:03:53] 1929

[1:03:56] stock market crash that happened on the

[1:03:58] Mars South node conjunction, that south

[1:04:00] node conjunction happened in Scorpio in

[1:04:02] the second house sign house of the Libra

[1:04:05] rising US birth chart. And there was a

[1:04:06] financial component where like 9/11 for

[1:04:10] example happened in the fourth house of

[1:04:14] the US birth chart in Capricorn and

[1:04:17] there was like this homebased component

[1:04:20] where it was like the first time the US

[1:04:22] had been attacked on its own soil since

[1:04:24] like Pearl Harbor or something like

[1:04:26] that. So it seemed symbolically relevant

[1:04:30] or resonant. And so it's like as I was

[1:04:33] thinking about this Mars South node

[1:04:35] Jupiter conjunction and where that's

[1:04:36] taking place, it would be happening in

[1:04:38] the 11th house of the US birth chart,

[1:04:40] which would be the place that has to do

[1:04:41] with like friends and alliances.

[1:04:44] So I'll be curious if there's some sort

[1:04:46] of like alliances type manifestation

[1:04:49] when it comes to this conjunction in

[1:04:52] particular

[1:04:53] and of course it's happening in the

[1:04:56] rising sign of the leader of the

[1:04:58] country. So it should be very personally

[1:04:59] relevant uh to him both in terms of the

[1:05:03] Mars placement there later in Leo as

[1:05:05] well as the ascendant degree. And

[1:05:08] obviously one of the things when it

[1:05:11] comes to Mars Jupiter since one of the

[1:05:14] the classical meanings of that is like a

[1:05:16] like a buildup of of forces or an

[1:05:19] expansion of some sort of military

[1:05:20] presence is the potential for the US to

[1:05:24] restart the war with Iran, which is one

[1:05:26] of the things people are talking about

[1:05:28] now after the US midterms potentially

[1:05:31] and that there is there are forces there

[1:05:34] are additional US forces like an

[1:05:35] aircraft carrier and like 10,000 troops

[1:05:37] groups that are on their way there right

[1:05:39] now and are supposed to arrive sometime

[1:05:41] in mid to late November. Um, but it's

[1:05:45] like we have this aspect and then the

[1:05:47] last one, the next one though looks more

[1:05:49] potent to me which is the Mars Uranus

[1:05:52] square which really kicks in at the end

[1:05:54] of November and beginning of December

[1:05:56] and that's the one I'm more paying

[1:05:58] attention to as the more potentially

[1:06:02] problematic one. But given some of the

[1:06:04] historical recurrences, it'll be very

[1:06:06] interesting to see how the Mars Jupiter

[1:06:08] South node conjunction plays out in the

[1:06:11] very middle of the month. All right. So,

[1:06:14] I did want to mention the monthly

[1:06:16] electional chart for this month because

[1:06:19] this actually does take advantage of and

[1:06:21] helps to mitigate and use the best

[1:06:23] version of that same Mars Jupiter

[1:06:26] conjunction. And the most auspicious

[1:06:29] election or chart that Lisa Shy and I

[1:06:32] found this month in our private

[1:06:34] electional astrology podcast, which is

[1:06:36] for patrons of the astrology podcast

[1:06:38] through our page on Patreon, it's set

[1:06:41] for November 22nd at 11:00 p.m. local

[1:06:44] time with Leo rising. So, if you cast a

[1:06:49] chart for your location for that date,

[1:06:51] November 22nd, set it to your city at

[1:06:53] 11:00 p.m., don't do any time zone

[1:06:56] conversion or anything like that. We're

[1:06:58] just setting it using local time. You

[1:07:00] should have a chart that's roughly like

[1:07:02] this. And you want to adjust to the

[1:07:03] ascendant until it's conjunct Jupiter

[1:07:06] around 25 degrees of 25 26° of Leo.

[1:07:11] So, this is our best electional chart

[1:07:13] this month. It has Leo rising and

[1:07:15] Jupiter is exactly conjunct the

[1:07:17] ascendant.

[1:07:19] And part of the reason that we

[1:07:22] chose this chart is this is a night

[1:07:24] chart. It's happening at 11:00 at night,

[1:07:27] but that's the best way to mitigate that

[1:07:29] conjunction where Mars is still very

[1:07:32] closely conjoined Jupiter and Mars is

[1:07:35] also overcoming Mercury and Scorpio

[1:07:38] through that superior signbase square.

[1:07:41] So, we really want to mitigate that

[1:07:43] because of some of that tense conflict

[1:07:47] like kind of like warlike energy is

[1:07:49] going to be very prominent from Mars

[1:07:51] this month. And the way to take the edge

[1:07:53] off of that and to turn it into a more

[1:07:56] constructive

[1:07:58] sort of bold, confident, but still but

[1:08:02] not as reckless version of Mars and

[1:08:04] version of a Mars Jupiter conjunction is

[1:08:06] to make it a night chart. So when we do

[1:08:09] that, we have a night chart with Leo

[1:08:11] rising. The sun is the ruler of the

[1:08:13] ascendant. It's in the fifth sign house.

[1:08:16] The sun is just ingressed into

[1:08:18] Sagittarius. And when you do that, the

[1:08:20] sun is actually in a mutual reception

[1:08:22] with Jupiter, which is in Leo. So

[1:08:24] they're trading signs which is creating

[1:08:26] a really positive relationship between

[1:08:28] the first house of self and the seventh

[1:08:30] house of creativity or that which you

[1:08:33] create as well as the sign of like

[1:08:35] pleasure and enjoyment and fun and games

[1:08:37] and other things like that. Um we have

[1:08:41] the moon exalted in Taurus in the 10th

[1:08:43] sign house in a night chart. It's a

[1:08:45] little bit before the full moon hits but

[1:08:47] the moon is waxing. It's very bright at

[1:08:51] this point. It's in the sign of its

[1:08:53] exaltation. It's lifted up both in terms

[1:08:56] of zodiacal sign but also in terms of

[1:08:58] its house placement in the 10th whole

[1:08:59] sign house which is the place of career

[1:09:02] and reputation and visibility and other

[1:09:04] things like that which is very positive.

[1:09:07] Um, the other thing that's great about

[1:09:09] this chart happening a little bit later

[1:09:12] in November is both Mercury and Venus

[1:09:16] have stationed direct and are starting

[1:09:17] to move forward again past their

[1:09:20] retrograde degrees or past their

[1:09:22] stationary degrees. So this is better

[1:09:24] than for example if you did an election

[1:09:26] earlier in the month and it's like

[1:09:28] Mercury is still retrograde and

[1:09:30] indicating at least some slowdowns or

[1:09:32] delays or glitches with things and Venus

[1:09:34] is also still indicating some relational

[1:09:38] things are not are having trouble

[1:09:40] getting going or are going ary or doing

[1:09:44] something that's sort of against the

[1:09:45] grain or stands out in some way. But

[1:09:48] here in this chart both of those planets

[1:09:50] are direct. They're moving forward

[1:09:51] again. they're in relatively good shape.

[1:09:54] Um, so that's one of the reasons why we

[1:09:56] recommend doing the election later in

[1:09:58] the month rather than earlier in the

[1:10:00] month. Um, what else? This chart's not

[1:10:03] good for 9inth house things because it

[1:10:05] has Saturn in a night chart in the ninth

[1:10:09] sign house which is the place of

[1:10:11] long-distance travel, education,

[1:10:13] philosophy, religion. Um, also like

[1:10:17] interaction with foreign places or

[1:10:19] people from backgrounds that are are

[1:10:22] different or different than your own or

[1:10:25] someone from a background that's foreign

[1:10:27] from your own. So, it wouldn't be a good

[1:10:29] chart for like a long-distance trip or

[1:10:31] some sort of like interaction with a

[1:10:33] foreign country, for example. Um, but

[1:10:36] otherwise it's a pretty good chart for a

[1:10:39] number of different things, including

[1:10:41] fifth house things having to do with

[1:10:43] like fun and pleasure and enjoyment and

[1:10:45] creativity. Even the topic of like

[1:10:47] children or things involving teaching

[1:10:50] younger people or other things like that

[1:10:51] is pretty good. 10th house activities

[1:10:53] are very good. third house activities

[1:10:55] with communication,

[1:10:58] um, short distance travel as opposed to

[1:11:00] long distance travel and just creativity

[1:11:04] in general because Venus is ruling the

[1:11:05] 10th house. The moon is exalted in the

[1:11:07] 10th house and Venus is in its doicile

[1:11:09] direct in the third are all very good.

[1:11:12] And the last thing is that this chart

[1:11:14] also really takes advantage of um the

[1:11:17] sexile between Venus and Jupiter which

[1:11:20] now is applying again now that Venus is

[1:11:22] direct and it's headed towards a second

[1:11:24] sex tile with Jupiter which happens

[1:11:26] later in the month which we'll talk

[1:11:27] about in just a little bit. So very good

[1:11:30] chart huge improvement electionally this

[1:11:33] month over last month when the

[1:11:35] electional weather was much much much

[1:11:38] worse and much more difficult to find

[1:11:40] good charts. This is definitely an

[1:11:43] improvement. So, um, yeah. So, that's

[1:11:45] our single best chart for this month,

[1:11:49] for the month of November. Lisa Shy and

[1:11:51] I found 10 other charts. If you need to

[1:11:53] do things at other points in the month

[1:11:55] that are not November 22nd when we have

[1:11:57] our be best chart. So, if you need to do

[1:12:00] things other days, you can check out our

[1:12:02] other podcast for patrons, which is

[1:12:04] called the Electional Astrology Podcast,

[1:12:06] which is available through our page on

[1:12:08] patreon.com/astrology

[1:12:10] podcast. And when you sign up for that,

[1:12:12] we already released it this month. So,

[1:12:15] all of our patrons are already watching

[1:12:16] that podcast uh with all the other

[1:12:19] electional charts and the instructions

[1:12:20] for using them and tips on what the best

[1:12:23] charts are to use for different things

[1:12:24] and different things like that. So check

[1:12:26] that out today if you'd like to get more

[1:12:30] about the electional charts. And then

[1:12:31] Lisa and I this month we're actually

[1:12:33] working on and trying to finish our year

[1:12:35] ahead electional report for 2027 where

[1:12:38] we pick out the single best chart for

[1:12:41] each of the next 12 months. And we sell

[1:12:43] that as like a separate standalone

[1:12:45] recording at the end of each year. So

[1:12:47] we're hoping to have that out by the end

[1:12:48] of November and I'll let everybody know

[1:12:50] as soon as that's that's available.

[1:12:52] All right. So, let's move back to the

[1:12:55] charts and the animation for this month.

[1:12:58] Moving forward from like the 14th,

[1:13:02] we get on the 15th and 16th a Mars

[1:13:04] Jupiter conjunction.

[1:13:06] Mercury and Venus are moving forward at

[1:13:08] this point. Um, the sun does form first

[1:13:12] a square with Jupiter on the 18th, which

[1:13:15] is a little bit positive, but then it

[1:13:17] hits a square with Mars, which is is

[1:13:19] pretty frustrating. the very next day on

[1:13:21] November 19th that can um I think it's

[1:13:25] just going to reactivate the Mars

[1:13:26] Jupiter conjunction and some of those

[1:13:28] feelings of like tension between like

[1:13:31] fighting versus making peace or um

[1:13:35] growth through a like relatively

[1:13:38] cautious and temperate manner versus

[1:13:41] just going all out and doing something

[1:13:43] impulsive or over the top. Um, and the

[1:13:47] potential that like the first day on the

[1:13:49] 18th, it like it's like you get the

[1:13:52] optimistic side of that with sun square

[1:13:54] Jupiter, but then on the next day on the

[1:13:57] 19th, you get some frustration or some

[1:14:00] conflict that arises as a result of the

[1:14:03] actions taken on the previous day. All

[1:14:05] right, I think that's bringing us to we

[1:14:09] get the sun departing from Scorpio and

[1:14:11] moving into Sagittarius on the 22nd and

[1:14:16] 21st and 22nd and that's taking us

[1:14:18] towards our second lunation of the

[1:14:20] month. We get this full moon at

[1:14:24] 2° of Gemini. So this is just after the

[1:14:28] sun is entered into Sagittarius a couple

[1:14:31] of days earlier and right after that we

[1:14:35] get our second lunation of the month

[1:14:37] where the moon hits its peak brightness

[1:14:41] and is the most visible and is providing

[1:14:44] the most light at night on this date on

[1:14:47] around November 24th. Uh but what's

[1:14:51] tricky is just it's ex almost exactly

[1:14:53] conjunct Uranus where as soon as the the

[1:14:56] moon hits the opposition with the sun

[1:14:59] and the moon is in Gemini um it's

[1:15:02] conjoining Uranus at 3° of Gemini at the

[1:15:05] same time and this is right before Mars.

[1:15:09] Mars is at this point at 29° of Leo and

[1:15:12] it's getting ready to make that ingress

[1:15:14] into Virgo over the next couple of days

[1:15:17] at which point it will also start

[1:15:19] squaring Uranus but but it's like

[1:15:21] functionally Mars is already like what

[1:15:24] 4° from squaring Uranus at this point.

[1:15:28] So that Mars Uranus square is already

[1:15:30] starting to build

[1:15:33] which is very volatile as we've seen

[1:15:35] twice twice now this year when other

[1:15:38] Mars Uranus aspects have happened and

[1:15:40] like the first Mars Uranus square was in

[1:15:42] at the end of February where the US

[1:15:45] launched the war on Iran with a surprise

[1:15:48] attack and then the second Mars Uranus

[1:15:51] hard aspect this year was in early July

[1:15:53] where the peace deal broke down suddenly

[1:15:57] and the US and Iran started shooting at

[1:15:59] each other again openly um and went back

[1:16:02] to war at the Mars Uranus conjunction in

[1:16:04] Gemini. So, this full moon that happens

[1:16:07] here on the 24th is highlighting and

[1:16:10] reactivating and sort of paving the way

[1:16:12] for that upcoming Mars Uranus square,

[1:16:15] but it's also just putting a huge amount

[1:16:18] of emphasis on the Gemini sector of our

[1:16:21] chart. And you'll also notice that it's

[1:16:24] setting up one of the other major outer

[1:16:27] planet aspects that's happening this

[1:16:29] month, which is that Uranus is

[1:16:31] retrograding back at 3° and it's trining

[1:16:35] Pluto, which is also at 3°, but in

[1:16:38] Aquarius. So, at the very end of this

[1:16:40] month, one of our last aspects is a

[1:16:42] Uranus Pluto trine, which is the second

[1:16:45] trine we'll get between those two

[1:16:47] planets. There was one other one earlier

[1:16:49] this year and I've really been

[1:16:52] reflecting lately on what that's doing

[1:16:56] with the Uranus Pluto trine and just in

[1:16:59] a mundane sense we're all kind of like

[1:17:01] right in the middle of it but I don't

[1:17:03] know if everybody appreciates how on the

[1:17:06] one hand we have Gemini which has to do

[1:17:08] with like talking and communication and

[1:17:12] short distance travel because it's ruled

[1:17:14] by Mercury and we have Uranus there and

[1:17:16] the rapid technological changes and

[1:17:19] advancements that that brings. And then

[1:17:21] on the other hand, we have Pluto and

[1:17:23] Aquarius. And we've seen that um the

[1:17:26] whole AI revolution that's happened over

[1:17:29] the past few years and the the sudden

[1:17:32] shift towards AI being in everything and

[1:17:35] AI sort of dominating the global stock

[1:17:38] market and companies and all these other

[1:17:40] things really started not long before

[1:17:43] Pluto ingressed into Aquarius a few

[1:17:45] years ago. And um one of the things I

[1:17:48] was reflecting on is how like all

[1:17:52] barriers in in communication

[1:17:54] have suddenly started breaking down over

[1:17:57] the course of the past few years so that

[1:18:00] everything has like a translator on it.

[1:18:03] And there's all sorts of com

[1:18:05] conversations that are taking place at

[1:18:07] this point between people that are in

[1:18:10] different countries that are speaking

[1:18:11] different languages. But all of a sudden

[1:18:14] that barrier that that language used to

[1:18:16] represent no longer exists because most

[1:18:20] social networks at this point include a

[1:18:22] button where you can just either

[1:18:25] translate things automatically if you

[1:18:27] choose to. But in some instances on some

[1:18:29] social networks the posts are already

[1:18:32] translated like pre-transated for you

[1:18:35] and you don't even have to initiate

[1:18:36] that. And so it's like people are

[1:18:40] interacting in in completely different

[1:18:42] languages with each other and not

[1:18:45] necessarily even realizing it initially

[1:18:48] because it's being translated

[1:18:50] automatically. And from a just a pure

[1:18:53] historical perspective, even though

[1:18:54] that's become commonplace at this point,

[1:18:57] that's such a wild thing that's

[1:19:00] happening historically. That's such a

[1:19:02] unique moment in history. And a lot of

[1:19:04] that technology and a lot of those

[1:19:06] barriers are being broken down right now

[1:19:08] as the technology is being perfected and

[1:19:10] like fully implemented and rolled out

[1:19:13] under and around the time of this Uranus

[1:19:16] Pluto trine. So that's one of the like

[1:19:19] images that I have as I'm thinking about

[1:19:21] this full moon in Gemini from a mundane

[1:19:24] perspective in addition to the

[1:19:27] transportation perspective where it's

[1:19:29] just like local transportation is

[1:19:32] becoming fully automated and that is not

[1:19:36] rolled out everywhere but it's being

[1:19:38] rolled out extremely rapidly. Like I've

[1:19:41] run into in Denver, they're fully

[1:19:44] Google's fully rolling out their Whimo

[1:19:47] automatic taxis like AI taxi service and

[1:19:51] I've seen like I don't know like a

[1:19:53] couple dozen of them. I keep running

[1:19:55] into them more and more frequently on

[1:19:57] the streets of Denver as I'm driving

[1:19:59] around over the course of the past few

[1:20:01] months. And that's another one of those

[1:20:03] instances where even though it's

[1:20:04] becoming common place, it's not like

[1:20:06] fully there yet. I guess it depends on

[1:20:07] what city you're in, but in some cities

[1:20:10] like on the on the West Coast in

[1:20:12] California or other places increasingly

[1:20:14] here in Denver, it's just becoming

[1:20:17] common place that

[1:20:20] um not only are there AIdriven cars that

[1:20:23] are driving around, but also that the

[1:20:25] humans aren't driving cars and that the

[1:20:28] entire process of driving around locally

[1:20:31] and mobility is something that's

[1:20:33] becoming automated and outside of human

[1:20:35] human hands. basically where we're at

[1:20:38] the turning point that will end up

[1:20:40] coinciding with especially the the

[1:20:42] broader Uranus and Gemini transit over

[1:20:45] the next 6 to 7 years at which point

[1:20:48] it'll be fully complete I'm sure. But

[1:20:51] this period where Uranus and Pluto are

[1:20:54] trining seems to be an incredibly

[1:20:56] important pivot point for a lot of that

[1:20:58] in terms of local travel becoming

[1:21:00] automated in addition to the language

[1:21:03] barriers around the world being almost

[1:21:06] completely eradicated on some sense at

[1:21:08] least online or digitally although

[1:21:10] increasingly in person as well. So

[1:21:14] that's one of the things that this

[1:21:16] conjunction makes me think about in

[1:21:18] terms of this being another important

[1:21:21] turning point and in terms of

[1:21:22] advancements in that but also on a more

[1:21:25] personal level just thinking about

[1:21:28] because this Uranus transit is still

[1:21:30] pretty new and pretty fresh for all of

[1:21:33] us um having only gone into into Gemini

[1:21:36] over the course of the past year or so.

[1:21:39] And um we're also still dealing with

[1:21:43] Pluto coming off of its station having

[1:21:45] retrograded back to 2° and now it's

[1:21:47] never going to get this early in the

[1:21:49] sign again. So, um, some of the rapid

[1:21:53] changes that have been happening in our

[1:21:56] personal lives in the Gemini sector of

[1:21:58] our chart over the course of the past

[1:21:59] year or so as Uranus has been moving

[1:22:02] into Gemini,

[1:22:04] uh, will probably start to become really

[1:22:06] loud around the time of this full moon

[1:22:10] uh, around November 24th where there's

[1:22:13] been some instances where I see people

[1:22:16] having this greater need for like

[1:22:18] freedom and liberation and chain and um

[1:22:23] change and sort of getting rid of any

[1:22:26] restrictions that have been holding them

[1:22:28] back up to this point. And sometimes

[1:22:30] that's happening voluntarily like if

[1:22:32] it's happening in your first house or

[1:22:34] your 10th house. Other times those

[1:22:37] disruptions are being experienced from

[1:22:40] other people in your life and you're

[1:22:41] sort of experiencing it as an external

[1:22:43] thing. But I think that's going to be

[1:22:46] something to pay attention to just

[1:22:48] having this full moon so close to Uranus

[1:22:50] because a full moon represents a

[1:22:53] culmination of events and a sort of

[1:22:57] shining a spotlight on that specific

[1:22:59] part of our chart which is whatever

[1:23:01] whole sign house Gemini coincides with

[1:23:03] in your birth chart. Um but one of the

[1:23:06] things that it's also shining a

[1:23:07] spotlight on is just the need to

[1:23:10] integrate change into your life in some

[1:23:13] way. whether that's something you're

[1:23:15] experiencing deliberately or whether

[1:23:17] it's something that you're experiencing

[1:23:19] as an as an external thing.

[1:23:23] Um, and that's going to become very

[1:23:24] important because that's going to become

[1:23:26] intensified over the course of the next

[1:23:28] week as soon as Mars moves into Virgo,

[1:23:33] which takes place just one day later

[1:23:39] um on November 25th. It's later in the

[1:23:42] day depending on your time zone,

[1:23:45] but we see by November 25th and November

[1:23:50] 26th,

[1:23:51] Mars heads into Virgo where it's heading

[1:23:53] for that square within 3°, but it also

[1:23:56] has just entered into a sign that it's

[1:23:59] going to spend a lot of time in over the

[1:24:01] course of the next at least like half a

[1:24:04] year basically because this is the sign

[1:24:07] that Mars will go retrograde in in early

[1:24:09] January.

[1:24:11] Um, and

[1:24:13] this is going to be an intense

[1:24:15] retrograde because it's stationed so

[1:24:18] closely squared to Uranus. And as soon

[1:24:20] as Mars goes in, we get our very first

[1:24:23] exact square. Um, let me animate the

[1:24:26] chart. On December 4th,

[1:24:30] so December 4th, Mars hits 3 degrees of

[1:24:32] Virgo and it squares Uranus at 3 degrees

[1:24:35] of Gemini.

[1:24:37] So these are all always really

[1:24:42] volatile times where there can be sudden

[1:24:46] and unexpected disruptions that sort of

[1:24:50] come out of left field and that we don't

[1:24:52] anticipate that suddenly disrupt the

[1:24:56] normal flow of things. So sometimes this

[1:24:59] can be like in mundane events we've seen

[1:25:02] like surprise attacks or we've seen like

[1:25:05] the a war break out or a conflict break

[1:25:08] out unexpectedly. So for example the

[1:25:10] last Mars Uranus square we had was at

[1:25:12] the end of February. Um and it I think

[1:25:15] it almost to the day coincided with the

[1:25:18] beginning of the war between the US and

[1:25:21] Iran. And in history, I've seen and done

[1:25:24] some research that Mars Uranus

[1:25:26] conjunctions often do show up in in

[1:25:28] Iranian history. And Nick Digen best

[1:25:30] also did some really interesting

[1:25:31] research that that we've talked about

[1:25:33] related to that. So, I'll be especially

[1:25:36] paying attention to that due to the

[1:25:37] prior precedent of the Mars Uranus

[1:25:40] square

[1:25:42] from last February as well as the Mars

[1:25:44] Uranus conjunction that happened in

[1:25:46] early July and the potential for that to

[1:25:49] restart things again around this time in

[1:25:51] late November and early December. Um, it

[1:25:55] also though could relate back to other

[1:25:58] events that took place in early July,

[1:26:01] late Jul, late June and early July

[1:26:04] around the time of the Mars Uranus

[1:26:06] conjunction that happened then because

[1:26:09] that was the start of a new cycle

[1:26:12] between Mars and Uranus and therefore

[1:26:15] this is the waxing square or the first

[1:26:18] square that takes place after that

[1:26:20] conjunction. So for many people that

[1:26:24] conjunction back in July may have laid

[1:26:26] some seeds or laid a new foundation

[1:26:30] that we see a major turning point. We

[1:26:33] see people hitting a major turning point

[1:26:35] in late November and early December

[1:26:37] under this square.

[1:26:39] And normally that would just be like a

[1:26:41] one-time event where you would see um

[1:26:46] tension come up and and we're going to

[1:26:47] see a lot of unexpected sometimes

[1:26:49] there's technological disruptions that

[1:26:51] take place under Mars Uranus squares. Um

[1:26:54] sometimes we see conflicts break out.

[1:26:56] There's going to be a lot of things

[1:26:57] happening very rapidly and like quickly

[1:27:00] in the news over a very short span of

[1:27:03] time. Like we see the pace of news

[1:27:04] events really pick up around those

[1:27:06] squares. But what's weird about this

[1:27:08] square is, let me animate it.

[1:27:12] See, Mars starts slowing down in

[1:27:14] December and then eventually stations

[1:27:17] retrograde here at 10° of Virgo in early

[1:27:20] January. So, that's only like 8° away

[1:27:24] from the square with Uranus.

[1:27:26] And then Mars retrogrades back because

[1:27:30] it's going to make another square with

[1:27:32] Uranus while it's in the middle of its

[1:27:34] retrograde

[1:27:36] um here around the middle of February.

[1:27:39] So then we get a second square with

[1:27:40] Uranus and then eventually Mars will

[1:27:42] retrograde back and it will station uh

[1:27:46] direct in the sign of Leo.

[1:27:49] It looks like in early April uh weirdly

[1:27:52] conjunct the south node in Jupiter

[1:27:54] again. So, we're going to get a return

[1:27:55] to some of those archetypal experiences

[1:28:00] either in mundane astrology as well as

[1:28:02] in terms of our personal lives like

[1:28:04] there's something that's not finished

[1:28:05] about the Mars Jupiter south node

[1:28:08] conjunction that happens in mid November

[1:28:11] comes back into our life by especially

[1:28:13] April of 2027

[1:28:16] and then eventually Mars stations direct

[1:28:18] there in Leo and it starts moving

[1:28:20] forward again and hits one last square

[1:28:24] with Uranus,

[1:28:26] uh, which happens here around late May

[1:28:29] of 2027,

[1:28:31] but then it's but then it's like it's

[1:28:34] back in Virgo again in the same sector

[1:28:35] of our chart that it entered in late

[1:28:38] November and December and January. So

[1:28:41] then we get this like second pass of

[1:28:44] Mars through the Virgo sector of our

[1:28:45] chart which does not wrap up and finish

[1:28:47] until the middle of July when the entire

[1:28:50] retrograde sequence of both degrees as

[1:28:53] well as signs is finally over and Mars

[1:28:56] finally moves into the sign of Libra.

[1:29:00] So that's really important because what

[1:29:03] that means is that as soon as Mars went

[1:29:08] into Leo,

[1:29:11] uh it began a transit through two signs

[1:29:15] in our chart and two two whole sign

[1:29:17] houses that it's going to be doing more

[1:29:20] or less like off and on in those two

[1:29:22] signs all the way through the middle

[1:29:24] part of next year through July of 2027.

[1:29:27] And it's un unlocking a sequence of

[1:29:29] events that will play out there that

[1:29:32] especially have to do with um in a

[1:29:35] constructive sense either actions and

[1:29:38] needing to be more active and take more

[1:29:41] bold or sometimes risk-like actions in a

[1:29:45] certain part of our life where we're

[1:29:46] being um pushed to be more decisive or

[1:29:49] we're being pushed to expend a lot more

[1:29:52] energy in a certain area of our life.

[1:29:54] whatever houses Mars is trans transiting

[1:29:56] for like an extended period of like nine

[1:29:58] months or alternatively it's an extended

[1:30:02] period in which we're experiencing

[1:30:04] um some conflict or some irritation or

[1:30:08] some discomfort that's causing tensions

[1:30:11] in those two sectors of our chart for an

[1:30:14] extended period of time. And the thing

[1:30:18] that's the most tricky about that though

[1:30:21] for me and for us in the immediate

[1:30:23] future is just the fact that it really

[1:30:24] starts with and features those Mars

[1:30:28] Uranus squares so prominently early on

[1:30:30] and that we get three of them basically

[1:30:33] because um that component of Uranus is

[1:30:38] something that's really hard to

[1:30:39] anticipate and it often brings up things

[1:30:41] that you can't plan for because it's

[1:30:44] something that often comes out of the

[1:30:46] blue. Um, obviously with Uranus

[1:30:50] transiting Gemini, we're already

[1:30:53] experiencing some of us are already

[1:30:55] experiencing radical changes in the

[1:30:57] Gemini sector of our chart already, like

[1:31:00] whatever house that is in your chart.

[1:31:02] But Mars will tend to really accelerate

[1:31:04] that and create much more of a sense of

[1:31:07] pressure to um move forward and to to

[1:31:12] make decisive or cutting changes to cut

[1:31:16] something out of the life or to make a

[1:31:18] division from something much more

[1:31:20] rapidly than we might otherwise do. And

[1:31:23] that's part of because both both Uranus

[1:31:25] and Mars indicate things that are really

[1:31:26] fast or very rapid. And that's one of

[1:31:29] the reasons why the headlines start

[1:31:30] moving really quickly around the time of

[1:31:32] Mars Uranus hard aspects. Um, and this

[1:31:35] will peak around December 4th

[1:31:37] especially.

[1:31:39] So that's why I mentioned that because I

[1:31:41] want everybody to think about

[1:31:45] the sign that Mars is moving into in

[1:31:49] terms of Virgo because that's going to

[1:31:51] be such a major shift that happens on

[1:31:52] the 25th and 26th and it's going to be

[1:31:55] bringing in energy that each of us is

[1:31:57] going to need to learn how to work with

[1:31:59] over the course of the next 9 months or

[1:32:01] so, eight or nine months or so.

[1:32:04] So the good news, however, is there are

[1:32:07] a couple of positive aspects that we end

[1:32:10] November with that allow us to wrap up

[1:32:13] some problems or wrap up some issues

[1:32:16] that we've been dealing with for a few

[1:32:17] months before we fully shift into

[1:32:20] somewhat abruptly dealing with some of

[1:32:22] those Mars and Virgo and Mars square

[1:32:24] Uranus issues. So one of them is that

[1:32:28] Mercury hits its shadow degree around

[1:32:32] November 28th 29th where Mercury gets

[1:32:35] back to 20° of Scorpio which is the the

[1:32:39] degree that it went retrograde at. So at

[1:32:42] this point, some people, for example, if

[1:32:44] they have planets around like 20° of the

[1:32:47] fixed signs, at this point, you'll be

[1:32:49] getting like what may be the the final

[1:32:52] pass of Mercury where it returns back to

[1:32:56] and gives you the third and final

[1:32:58] transit that you'll have in that like

[1:33:02] evolving Mercury retrograde period that

[1:33:04] we've been experiencing most of

[1:33:05] November, uh, starting in in late

[1:33:08] October. So there'll be a sense of of

[1:33:11] completion of things moving full circle

[1:33:14] of some of the glitches or delays or

[1:33:16] snafuss or other things being brought to

[1:33:19] completion and brought to some sort of

[1:33:21] resolution where some of the mixed wires

[1:33:24] and communication difficulties will be

[1:33:26] fully worked out by this point. And um

[1:33:30] yeah, so sometimes with a Mercury

[1:33:32] retrograde, sometimes you'll find

[1:33:34] yourself doing something and having to

[1:33:35] redo it one or two more times. And

[1:33:39] usually by the time Mercury gets back to

[1:33:41] its retrograde degree, you'll usually do

[1:33:44] or complete that thing for the final

[1:33:46] time so that at this point it's finished

[1:33:49] and you will not have to return to it

[1:33:51] after this point. So there'll be a sense

[1:33:53] of completion and a sense of moving

[1:33:55] forward and a sense that you can exhale

[1:33:57] again. And one of the things that I like

[1:34:00] about that is that that happens

[1:34:02] pretty much simultaneously that Venus

[1:34:06] gets to 26° of Libra and forms an exact

[1:34:10] sex tile with Jupiter for the second

[1:34:12] time. So earlier in the month we saw

[1:34:15] that retrograde sex tile uh between

[1:34:18] Venus and Jupiter. But here we have

[1:34:21] Venus direct coming out of the

[1:34:23] retrograde and making one last forward

[1:34:26] moving sexile with Jupiter from 26 Libra

[1:34:29] to 26 Leo. And this is um the second

[1:34:33] most positive aspect of the month with

[1:34:35] the with the first sexile being the the

[1:34:38] first one at the beginning of November.

[1:34:40] And I really like this aspect for some

[1:34:43] of the reasons I mentioned earlier and

[1:34:45] for some of the same keywords of the

[1:34:47] ability to create some sort of alliance

[1:34:50] to smooth things over, especially when

[1:34:53] we're thinking about Venus coming out of

[1:34:55] the retrograde and like sweeping up some

[1:34:58] of the problems or some of the

[1:35:00] separations that may have occurred

[1:35:02] during the course of the retrograde or

[1:35:04] some of the issues that it may have

[1:35:07] unearthed in relationships or things

[1:35:09] that it brought up from in the past.

[1:35:11] Here with Venus moving forward in its

[1:35:13] own sign and sexing Jupiter, it's really

[1:35:17] starting to attempt to mend and decide

[1:35:21] which relationships can be saved. And

[1:35:23] the ones that ended up surviving the

[1:35:25] retrograde at this point become

[1:35:28] strengthened and become reaffirmed. And

[1:35:31] there will be some people who will sort

[1:35:32] of like reaffirm their commitment to and

[1:35:35] solidify relationships at this time. Um

[1:35:39] depending on what house the Venus

[1:35:41] Jupiter sexile is happening, it may be

[1:35:43] connecting those two houses in your

[1:35:45] chart or it may be fixing um whatever

[1:35:49] problems came up under the Venus

[1:35:51] retrograde signs and houses of like

[1:35:53] Scorpio and Libra especially. so that it

[1:35:56] may be sort of like focalized on

[1:35:59] whatever the issues were there and just

[1:36:00] sort of like wrapping those up but also

[1:36:04] healing some divides that came up during

[1:36:06] the course of the Venus retrograde. So I

[1:36:09] really like that. is a really positive

[1:36:10] aspect to end the month with

[1:36:13] especially

[1:36:15] because then like immediately after that

[1:36:17] in early December we get really super

[1:36:19] tense dramatic unexpected disruptive

[1:36:22] aspects with Mars squaring Mars squaring

[1:36:25] Uranus on December 4th. So, it's

[1:36:28] interesting. And then by that point,

[1:36:30] like Venus goes back into Scorpio in

[1:36:32] early December and Mercury departs from

[1:36:35] Scorpio and moves into into Sagittarius

[1:36:38] very just completely completing the

[1:36:41] Mercury retrograde by sign. So there's

[1:36:44] this real sense of moving forward by the

[1:36:46] very end of November and coming out of I

[1:36:49] think that long period of especially

[1:36:52] Venus traveling through the underworld

[1:36:55] and going through the whole descent of

[1:36:57] Anana narrative over an entire like

[1:37:00] 40day and 40 night period and at this

[1:37:03] point um finally emerging back into from

[1:37:07] the underworld and sort of reclaiming

[1:37:09] her throne in some sense which is kind

[1:37:12] of

[1:37:13] A few years ago when we had the Venus

[1:37:15] retrograde in Leo, the day Venus

[1:37:18] stationed retrograde, like the Barbie

[1:37:20] movie comes out and she's living this

[1:37:22] idilic life and then she starts

[1:37:25] contemplating death and she doesn't know

[1:37:27] why. And then she goes through this

[1:37:28] entire journey and then she comes back

[1:37:32] and her lover has like stolen her

[1:37:34] kingdom and corrupted it which is very

[1:37:36] similar to the original myth in

[1:37:38] Mesopotamia like 3 4,000 years ago. And

[1:37:41] then eventually she reclaims her throne

[1:37:43] and is renewed and refreshed. And by the

[1:37:48] time we get to

[1:37:50] this part um of Venus direct around

[1:37:54] November 28th and sexelling Jupiter,

[1:37:57] Venus is also a morning star and she's

[1:38:00] going to become very visible and bright

[1:38:02] and beautiful in the morning sky just

[1:38:05] before sunrise. And I think that's the

[1:38:08] stage of the story that we're at when it

[1:38:10] comes to the Venus retrograde. Um, is

[1:38:13] that like reclaiming your throne and

[1:38:16] coming back refreshed and renewed after

[1:38:20] a deep and somewhat intense sort of dark

[1:38:23] night of the soul and an inner journey

[1:38:26] in which many things were learned and

[1:38:28] some things were lost but other things

[1:38:30] were gained. So, that is the most

[1:38:32] exciting part that I'm looking forward

[1:38:33] to by the end of November is having that

[1:38:35] sense of completion both with the

[1:38:38] Mercury retrograde story as well as the

[1:38:40] Venus retrograde story. Um, but then we

[1:38:44] segue into

[1:38:46] December and we get the December 4th

[1:38:49] Mars Uranus square and a whole new set

[1:38:52] of problems

[1:38:54] sort of arise somewhat suddenly,

[1:38:57] especially in the Virgo sectors of our

[1:38:59] charts. um once mer once Mars goes into

[1:39:04] Virgo on the 26th but especially once it

[1:39:06] squares Uranus but uh I guess I've

[1:39:10] explained sort of sufficiently some of

[1:39:13] the things that that brings up and I'll

[1:39:15] have to save a deeper discussion for

[1:39:17] that both historically and personally

[1:39:19] for next month when we do the

[1:39:22] astrological forecast for for December.

[1:39:25] Let me see if there's anything else I

[1:39:27] meant to mention. I think that's pretty

[1:39:28] much it. Um, we're really just dealing

[1:39:31] with early in the month like the

[1:39:33] resolution phase of the Venus and and

[1:39:36] Mercury retrogrades. We're dealing with

[1:39:38] the Mars Jupiter south node conjunction

[1:39:40] in the middle of the month. And then by

[1:39:43] the end of the month, we're dealing with

[1:39:44] Mars entering its retrograde sign and

[1:39:47] squaring Uranus,

[1:39:49] uh, where it's going to spend an awful

[1:39:51] lot of time all the way until July of

[1:39:53] next year, but we're also seeing the

[1:39:55] final wrapping up of the Venus and

[1:39:58] Mercury retrograde stories and real

[1:40:00] direct movement in those areas of our

[1:40:02] life by the time we get to the end of

[1:40:03] November. So, there's some some good

[1:40:06] things to look forward to for sure. All

[1:40:08] right, my friends. I think that's it for

[1:40:10] this forecast in terms of the things I

[1:40:12] meant to say in the forecast section. Uh

[1:40:14] so I was going to read that scroll that

[1:40:16] I got from Austin. I want to mention

[1:40:18] also some things I have going on. Um, I

[1:40:21] have, you know, a lot of people watch my

[1:40:23] videos each month and I put out a ton of

[1:40:25] free content, but I also have some

[1:40:27] online courses that I teach and I'm

[1:40:29] actually running a discount sale and a

[1:40:32] promo co uh promo code on all of my

[1:40:34] courses this month for a 15% discount if

[1:40:38] you use the promo code retrograde.

[1:40:41] So I teach a lot of stuff and put a lot

[1:40:43] a lot a lot of free content here but I

[1:40:45] actually hold back and I have a lot of

[1:40:47] my best content is available in my

[1:40:50] online courses that I teach through my

[1:40:52] course site at the astrologychool.com.

[1:40:55] So the main course that I teach is the

[1:40:57] one on how to read birth charts which is

[1:40:59] my henistic astrology course which is a

[1:41:02] course on ancient astrology where I take

[1:41:04] people from basic concepts through

[1:41:06] intermediate and advanced techniques for

[1:41:09] learning how to read birth charts.

[1:41:11] And there's over a hundred hours of

[1:41:13] video lectures there because I've been

[1:41:15] building different parts of that course

[1:41:17] and adding things to it continuously

[1:41:19] since 2010. So for like 16 years now uh

[1:41:23] covering topics like sect, the

[1:41:26] significations of the planets, the

[1:41:27] rulers of the houses, annual perfection,

[1:41:30] zodiac releasing and one of the things

[1:41:32] that's cool about the course is I do a

[1:41:34] monthly webinar with students where we

[1:41:36] do live discussions of charts and I do

[1:41:40] interviews and we often focus on

[1:41:42] specific topics. Like this last month we

[1:41:45] did one on Venus retrograde and how that

[1:41:47] was working out in the birth charts of

[1:41:49] different students as a transit. So you

[1:41:52] can get access to the recording of that

[1:41:54] as well as a huge archive of other

[1:41:57] recordings that I've been doing for

[1:41:58] years uh if you sign up for the Henistic

[1:42:01] astrology course. Uh but besides that, I

[1:42:03] also wanted to mention that I have a new

[1:42:05] course on hory astrology that I'm

[1:42:07] teaching with my friend Rob Bailey. And

[1:42:09] I'm really excited about this because

[1:42:11] this course uses it teaches you how to

[1:42:13] use astrology to cast a chart for a

[1:42:17] specific question that somebody has for

[1:42:19] you and to be able to answer that single

[1:42:22] specific question just based on the

[1:42:24] chart for the moment in which the

[1:42:25] question was asked. And Rob and I built

[1:42:28] this course which has like 40 hours of

[1:42:31] lectures. Uh we've got tons and tons of

[1:42:34] example charts that we share from our

[1:42:36] private practice of using Horeri and

[1:42:39] specifically the course is geared up to

[1:42:41] treat to teach sort of um the earliest

[1:42:44] version of Herary that was focused on

[1:42:46] using whole sign houses using different

[1:42:49] Henistic and medieval techniques for

[1:42:52] answering hor questions that were first

[1:42:54] developed in the later part of the

[1:42:56] Henistic tradition and the early part of

[1:42:58] the medieval tradition. So, uh, that's a

[1:43:01] really cool course and Rob is actually

[1:43:02] going to start hosting a monthly webinar

[1:43:04] session soon for monthly Q&As to work

[1:43:07] with students. Um, so it's a great time

[1:43:10] to sign up for that course so you can

[1:43:12] get in on both the pre-recorded lectures

[1:43:14] as well as those live webinars as well.

[1:43:18] And then finally, I also teach a course

[1:43:20] on rectification with my friend Patrick

[1:43:22] Watson where Patrick and I got together

[1:43:24] and we wanted to create a course to give

[1:43:26] people a systematic template for

[1:43:29] learning how to rectify charts in order

[1:43:31] to figure out what a person's birth time

[1:43:34] is. If you either don't know the birth

[1:43:36] time or if you only have a little bit of

[1:43:38] information about the birth time and you

[1:43:40] want to be able to rectify the chart and

[1:43:42] narrow down the correct rising sign or

[1:43:45] the correct rising degree. So we've got

[1:43:48] over 22 hours of lectures on

[1:43:49] rectification in that in that course as

[1:43:52] well as um some real case studies and

[1:43:55] client case studies and interviews as

[1:43:57] well as some specialist interviews with

[1:43:59] other astrologers who spec who

[1:44:01] specialize in rectification.

[1:44:04] Um, and Patrick and I are also planning

[1:44:06] on doing some webinars there soon as

[1:44:08] well through Zoom to do some live Q&As

[1:44:10] with students. So, all of the courses

[1:44:13] are self-paced. You get unlimited access

[1:44:16] for them as soon as you sign up and you

[1:44:19] can start the courses right away as soon

[1:44:21] as you sign up and also get access to

[1:44:23] the different quizzes. And each course

[1:44:26] you can take a final test and get a

[1:44:27] certificate of completion saying that

[1:44:29] you studied with us um and use that as

[1:44:32] part of your professional practice if

[1:44:34] you want to go out and be a practicing

[1:44:36] astrologer.

[1:44:37] So in November I'm doing a discount

[1:44:39] where you can sign up for one of the

[1:44:41] courses and get a 15% discount by using

[1:44:44] the promo code retrograde.

[1:44:47] And if you want to combine different

[1:44:49] courses, uh if you sign up for two or

[1:44:52] more courses, you already get a 15%

[1:44:54] discount by signing up for one of those

[1:44:56] bundles. But otherwise, the promo code

[1:44:59] goes from now until November 30th to get

[1:45:02] that 15% discount for one of them. So,

[1:45:05] just go to the astrologychool.com.

[1:45:08] All right. And the last thing is I, as I

[1:45:10] said, Austin is away on a trip right now

[1:45:12] uh for Caitlyn's birthday, but I did

[1:45:14] receive a small letter from him on a

[1:45:16] delivery pigeon. And this is what it

[1:45:19] said. It said, "My dearest Christopher,

[1:45:22] I write you now from an unknown

[1:45:24] underground location. I stand at the

[1:45:27] shore of a great subterranean ocean.

[1:45:30] Whether it is a natural cavern or a

[1:45:32] product of human artifice, I cannot say.

[1:45:34] There is a waterfall overhead that pours

[1:45:37] sewage endlessly into this vast sea. In

[1:45:40] its putrid roar and patter, I hear the

[1:45:42] laughter of children playing in the dark

[1:45:45] and the sounds of couples fighting at

[1:45:47] midnight. The smell of this place has

[1:45:49] rid me of the desire to ever eat again.

[1:45:51] But the sight is strangely beautiful.

[1:45:54] Everything is lit gently by

[1:45:56] phosphorescent fungi that grow on nearly

[1:45:58] every surface, including me. My friend,

[1:46:01] I have begun to glow in the most

[1:46:03] disconcerting way. You might wonder how

[1:46:06] I came to be here. The answer, hubris. I

[1:46:09] sought to know where the goddess went

[1:46:10] and what she did when she vanished from

[1:46:12] human sight. To look upon a goddess who

[1:46:15] desires to go unseen is indeed a

[1:46:17] transgression, and my current

[1:46:20] imprisonment is no doubt my just

[1:46:22] punishment for violating her divine

[1:46:24] privacy. Let me recount my journey of

[1:46:26] curiosity and error.

[1:46:29] I watched Venus drop low and then

[1:46:31] disappear in the west, and I followed,

[1:46:33] needing to know where she went to hide.

[1:46:36] I walked west through the night forest

[1:46:38] until I came upon an old manhole beneath

[1:46:42] an apple tree and obscured by vicious

[1:46:44] blackberry brambles. Nonetheless, I saw

[1:46:47] traces of the seal of the elder

[1:46:48] Aphrodite upon it, and so I pried it

[1:46:50] open, when within found corroded copper

[1:46:54] rungs leading down.

[1:46:56] I [clears throat] followed that narrow

[1:46:58] shaft, and as I clambored, what few

[1:47:00] stars were overhead soon disappeared in

[1:47:03] the darkness I could feel the old rungs

[1:47:05] grow old unh wholesomely moist and

[1:47:08] slippery, but I persisted foolishly. The

[1:47:11] rotted things eventually betrayed me,

[1:47:13] pulling loose from the wall, I scrambled

[1:47:15] and clawed for a hold, but to no avail.

[1:47:18] Down I plunged. Since then I have

[1:47:20] wandered these tunnels, waited Katonian

[1:47:22] streams, seen and felt the very

[1:47:24] strangest of things. I strolled through

[1:47:27] the gallery of betrayal, drank from the

[1:47:29] spring of false hope, and bore witness

[1:47:32] to the miracle of trust reborn. I

[1:47:35] chatted with patrons of the vomitorium

[1:47:37] of regret and conversed with time

[1:47:39] travelers addicted to teenage

[1:47:41] heartbreak. I scanned the shelves at the

[1:47:43] library of the disappointed and there

[1:47:45] read an intriguing text on the alchemy

[1:47:47] of tears. After all this, I came to be

[1:47:50] here at what I think is the bottom, the

[1:47:52] glowing beach of this great and terrible

[1:47:54] ocean into which the sewage falls. I do

[1:47:57] not know how far it extends, but I do

[1:47:59] know that I hear ominous rumblings

[1:48:01] coming from far beyond the shore. I have

[1:48:04] a growing fear that at any moment a

[1:48:06] terrible changed Aphrodite will emerge

[1:48:08] from its depths and whisper something

[1:48:10] that will break my heart forever. This

[1:48:13] may be my end, though I have not

[1:48:15] abandoned the small hope that as Venus

[1:48:17] rises again, I too might emerge from

[1:48:20] this labyrinth. And so, perhaps in vain,

[1:48:23] I spend my time on this inverted beach,

[1:48:25] twilling on the second edition of my

[1:48:27] book, and preparing for the November

[1:48:29] 13th intake of new students into my

[1:48:31] fundamentals of astrology program. I

[1:48:33] know my priestess consort Caitlyn is

[1:48:35] preparing a new Venusian offering

[1:48:37] crafted and consecrated when the lady

[1:48:39] was at the height of her power. Perhaps

[1:48:41] with it she will persuade the goddess to

[1:48:43] grant me release or at least reduce my

[1:48:45] sentence. I can only hope. Dearest

[1:48:48] Christopher, if I am permitted to rise

[1:48:50] again, I am eager to share with you the

[1:48:52] souvenirs I have collected and sketches

[1:48:54] I have made. Oh my friend, I have such

[1:48:57] sights to show you. With love and

[1:48:59] terror, Austin.

[1:49:04] So needless to say, Austin is doing

[1:49:07] quite well, it sounds like, and he will

[1:49:10] be back again next month when we do the

[1:49:12] forecast for December, and we're also

[1:49:15] starting to uh get ready for the year

[1:49:18] ahead forecast for for 2027.

[1:49:21] So, I think that's it for this episode.

[1:49:23] So, thank you all for watching or

[1:49:25] listening, and I'll see you again next

[1:49:27] time.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

Venus stations direct in Libra on November 13, 2026, ending a retrograde that began in Scorpio in early October. Chris Brennan describes this as the last Venus retrograde cazimi in Scorpio for a long time, with future cazimis falling in Libra roughly every eight years.
A cazimi occurs when a planet sits so close to the Sun that it is said to be in the Sun's heart. In this forecast, Venus joins the Sun in Scorpio around October 23 and 24, and Mercury does the same on November 4, 2026, which Brennan treats as a turning point for issues set up earlier in the retrograde.
Mercury stations retrograde on October 24, 2026 at 20 degrees of Scorpio, then moves back to 5 degrees of Scorpio before stationing direct on November 13. Brennan notes that the retrograde's effects are felt well before the official station date.
The conjunction of Mars, Jupiter and the South Node in Leo peaks around November 15 and 16, 2026. Brennan calls it the biggest alignment of the month and frames its themes around war and peace, drawing on earlier Mars and South Node conjunctions in history.
Mars enters Virgo on November 25, 2026, and stations retrograde on January 10, 2027, at 10 degrees of Virgo. It will not leave Virgo for the final time until July 2027, and it forms a square with Uranus in Gemini starting in late November and continuing into early December.
The forecast is an astrological interpretation, not a factual prediction of events. Chris Brennan presents transits such as retrogrades, cazimis and squares as recurring patterns to be read in context, and encourages listeners to test their significance against their own birth charts.
