Petra Rakebrandt

Petra Rakebrandt is a holistic healer, health coach and yoga teacher based in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe. She describes herself as a holistic success mentor, healer and business coach, and as an Energy Artist, someone who uses many different tools to help others paint a new version of their life filled with colour, vibrancy and joy.

Her path began in Germany, where she worked as an engineer and manager in the corporate world, and later as a managing director, and studied for an MBA. From the outside her life looked successful, but she has written that she felt cold and disconnected from herself. She left her career and her marriage and bought a one-way ticket to the Caribbean. Moving there, she says, did not heal her on its own. She had to do the inner work, and that became the foundation of what she teaches today.

Her work draws on years of training in coaching, meditation, yoga, nutrition and holistic healing, including nervous system regulation, inner child work, family patterns, energy work and intuitive coaching. Her YouTube channel lists her as a yoga teacher, Pilates instructor, meditation coach, health coach, Reiki master and family constellation facilitator. She works mostly with women who want to understand what is keeping them stuck and to build a life, and sometimes a business, that feels their own. She also offers corporate wellness and leadership meditation coaching.

Petra leads yoga and wellness retreats, including long-running yoga retreats at Jungle Bay in Dominica, and teaches classes in Guadeloupe. Her classes can also be found on Insight Timer. She is the author of a book and of Yin Is the New Black, which follows her journey from unhappiness, divorce and a stressful corporate job toward balance and fulfilment. She also paints energy art, infused with Reiki and intention, and says her paintings are made in a space of deep presence, often after meditation or healing sessions.
