Koya Webb is a global wellbeing specialist and founder of the Get Loved Up Embodied Leadership Academy. For over 25 years she has worked in holistic wellbeing and embodied leadership, and she describes seeing a consistent pattern: people weren't lacking discipline or motivation, they were living in nervous system survival states they didn't know how to regulate. Her work teaches people to regulate the nervous system and return to sustainable wellbeing, through breath, holistic practice and what she calls the CHBT Method.
She began her wellness journey in Humboldt, Tennessee, becoming a certified personal trainer at 19 and a life coach at 25. Her own path led her to yoga, veganism, plant-based nutrition, breathwork and neuroemotional coaching, practices she has shared with thousands over two decades. In 2018 she launched Get Loved Up Yoga School to champion diversity in wellness and holistic corporate programs.
Koya is the author of Let Your Fears Make You Fierce (Hay House) and Wellbeing Rituals (Wiley), a guide to more than 50 holistic rituals for reducing stress, healing emotional patterns and building sustainable wellbeing. She has been featured in Forbes, Goop, ESSENCE, NBC, CBS and E!, and her YouTube channel describes her as the creator of Embody Breath™.
Her areas of focus include nervous system regulation, breathwork and embodied leadership, emotional resilience and lifestyle alignment. She has also taught with her spiritual mother, Queen Afua, on Impeccable Listening, and in 2023 developed the Deeper Intimacy coaching program with her husband, Daren Grainger. Of her teaching, Alo wrote that her "passion for health, wellness and mindfulness are palpable and infectious."
Worth Knowing
Koya Webb is a wellbeing specialist and embodied leadership facilitator who has spent over 25 years building a practice around one core observation: most people aren't failing at wellness because they lack discipline, but because they're stuck in chronic nervous system survival states they can't name or regulate. She built her entire teaching around nervous system regulation—through breathwork, yoga, and what she calls the CHBT Method, a proprietary framework for restoring clarity and resilience. She's also the founder of Get Loved Up Yoga School, launched in 2018 specifically to champion diversity in the often homogeneous wellness industry. People follow her work because she doesn't traffic in generic inspiration; instead, she offers specific, somatic tools grounded in neuroscience and long-term teaching experience. Her reach extends beyond yoga studios—she's been featured in Forbes, Goop, ESSENCE, NBC, CBS and E!, and speaks at major conferences on embodied leadership and sustainable wellbeing. At her core, Koya Webb offers a diagnostics-first approach: understand your nervous system state, then train your way out of survival mode.
