Origins

Bloomurian is the electronic music and DJ project of Robin Liepman, who performs as Bloom. He is originally from California and now lives in Colorado. The public record is thin on his early years: no hometown, no childhood anecdotes, no account of how he first came to music. What the record does establish is a geographic arc from the West Coast to the Rocky Mountain region, and a self-description that is plain and a little unusual in its third term: music producer, DJ and mentor.

That last word matters. Bloom does not present himself only as someone who makes records or plays sets. He positions himself as someone who guides, which fits a body of work built around shared experience rather than passive listening.

The Turning Point

The materials available do not document a single pivotal moment, and it would be a disservice to invent one. What can be said is that Bloom's work sits inside the ecstatic dance and conscious dance world, where the dance floor is treated less as entertainment and more as a space for embodied ritual. He describes his practice as movement medicine. Whatever led him there, the commitment is visible in how he builds a set: the goal is not a flawless mix but an arc of states, steered toward what he calls ecstatic awakening.

His public materials name no formal spiritual lineage, initiatory teacher or devotional tradition. The work belongs instead to a movement-culture lineage, one shaped by ecstatic dance communities, World Bass and Trip-Hop, and the Psy-Dub tradition that carries dub's studio experiments into psychedelic territory.

What He Is Known For

Bloomurian's core contribution is a way of playing the room. Rather than settling into a single tempo range or a steady four-on-the-floor pulse, Bloom moves through Ecstatic Dance, World Bass, Trip-Hop, Glitchy textures, Psy-Dub and Trap, sometimes within a single session. He describes the aim as "face-melting, heart-opening, soul-awakening multidimensional frequencies," a phrase best read as stated intent rather than neutral description. Depending on the moment, the sound can turn dark and dirty, or light, vibrant and uplifting, psychedelic, transformational or worldly.

Each set weaves original tracks, collaborations, remixes and selections from other artists into one continuous arc, tuned to the event and audience. Bloom reads the energy and reshapes the night on the spot, which makes the practice partly DJ, partly bandleader and partly movement facilitator.

The live element sets him apart. He often plays electric guitar and what he calls his shovel slide-guitar, instruments that bend pitch and smear sound in ways programmed synths cannot. Live instrumentalists and vocalists join him on stage when the night calls for it, so what a room hears can differ from what appears on a recording.

Major Works and Projects

The catalog is made of singles, collections and remixes rather than a traditional studio album, and it has been released at a steady pace through 2025 and 2026. It is best approached as a sampler.

  • "Bass Ritual" (March 13, 2026) is the central original, showing the project's method of heavy low end and ritual framing in compact form. Its remix family includes the AguaMayyim Remix, the Kadela Remix, a Light Language Recode, and the five-track Bass Ritual Remixes Vol 2 collection from December 2025.
  • "Embers of a Forgotten Prayer (Revibed)" (April 2026) runs eight tracks and is the largest body of work in the catalog, including a Serpentis Revibe.
  • "Yearning (Liquid Bloom & Bloomurian Remix)" and "Golden Road (Liquid Bloom & Bloomurian Revibe)" document the closest creative partnership in the catalog.
  • "OUD FUTURE" (March 2026) leans in a more Middle Eastern-tinged direction.
  • "Ausangate" (June 2026) is the most recent single listed.

Collaboration runs throughout. Bloom made a track with Liquid Bloom and Snow Raven, and a remix with Shaman's Dream and Liquid Bloom featuring the mycologist Paul Stamets, which adds an ecological thread to the catalog. The "Ascension (Bloomurian & Chakaruna Edit)" credits Chakaruna, and other remix credits name Kadela, AguaMayyim and Serpentis. The heavy reliance on reworking other people's music gives the catalog a layered, collage-like quality, and makes the project feel like an ongoing conversation between producers rather than a fixed identity.

On the road, the most concrete documented run is a full month of touring as an opening act for Dirtwire. He has also shared stages, opened and closed for Desert Dwellers, Liquid Bloom, Porangui, Rising Appalachia, Mike Love, Gone Gone Beyond, Govinda, Deya Dova, Phutureprimitive, Kaya Project and Savej. His music is available on Bandcamp, and the full catalog is on Spotify.

The Current Chapter

The recent release cadence has been brisk, with several singles and remixes landing within weeks of each other through 2026. The newest direction is audible in "Ausangate," while "Embers of a Forgotten Prayer (Revibed)" offers the broadest single sitting. Bloom continues to DJ ecstatic dances, concerts, festivals and retreats worldwide from his Colorado base. No upcoming dates were available for this profile, so anyone planning to see him should check bloomurian.com directly.

Cultural Significance

With around 96,200 Spotify followers, Bloomurian has a substantial audience within the conscious music world. Its appeal lies in treating the dance floor as a site of ritual rather than background. For dancers, the draw is a facilitator willing to take a room from the dark and dirty to the light and uplifting, and to do it with a live guitar in hand.

It is not music for everyone. Listeners seeking quiet, seated meditation or a steady ambient atmosphere will likely find it too physical and too changeable. Devotees of austere minimal techno may find the Trap, Glitch and Psy-Dub elements a distraction. The music can be loud, dense and bass-heavy, and purists of traditional world music may hear a blend that borrows freely rather than faithfully representing any single culture.

Still, there is a clear place for an artist who approaches movement as shared, somewhat theatrical experience and who treats other producers as collaborators rather than competitors. No press coverage or awards are documented in the record, so his standing rests on the community around him: the stages shared, the remixes exchanged, and the dance floors he has helped turn into something closer to ceremony.
