Jenny Brav, MSW & CMP, is a holistic healer based in Berkeley, California, who runs Radiant Wholeness Healing. She describes herself as a sensitive and intuitive healer who helps people see through their patterns and wounds and reach the whole, integrated self at their core. Her work is online, with sessions held over Zoom. She says it is at once gentle and profound, and that it touches the physical, emotional and spiritual or energetic realms.
Her path to this work was not a straight one. She spent fifteen years on social justice issues in the U.S. and on humanitarian work in impoverished and conflict-ridden parts of Asia and the Middle East. Her roles included work with the United Nations in Nepal and with Peace Brigades International. The stress of that work led to chronic asthmatic bronchitis. She began meditating and studying alternative healing and nutrition to restore her balance, and she brings what she learned to her clients. She came to the Bay Area in 2010 to deepen her study and practice, and she has practiced healing work since 2008.
Her training includes EFT, the Hakomi Method of mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy, acupressure, craniosacral work, Matrix Reimprinting, and depth hypnosis. She also holds an MSW from Washington University and was a Fulbright Scholar in Nepal. She says Radiant Wholeness Healing grew out of her own experience of early grief, inter-generational wounds and burnout.
Jenny focuses on grief, anxiety and sensitivity, ancestral patterns and trauma, burnout, and living well with a chronic health issue. She sees anxiety as a coping strategy rather than a disorder, and she emphasizes calming the nervous system through the body. She also teaches body-based tools that clients can use on their own to ground and to tap. She grew up in a multicultural, bilingual environment in France, speaks French, Nepali and Italian fluently, and writes poems, blog posts and a novel.
Worth Knowing
Jenny Brav is a Berkeley-based holistic and energy healer with an MSW and Certified Massage Practitioner credentials, who runs Radiant Wholeness Healing and holds sessions online. Her profile stands out because the healing practice grew out of fifteen years of social justice work in the U.S. and humanitarian work in Asia and the Middle East, including a Fulbright Scholarship in Nepal, work with the United Nations in Nepal, and work with Peace Brigades International. She moved to the Bay Area in 2010 to deepen her study of alternative healing, and the chronic asthmatic bronchitis she developed under that earlier stress shaped her approach. She has said that meditation, healing modalities and nutrition helped her recover, and that experience is central to how she works with clients. Her stated focus areas are grief, anxiety and sensitivity, ancestral patterns and trauma, burnout, and living well with a chronic health issue. Readers who follow her tend to do so for the combination of Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping), mindfulness-centered somatic psychotherapy and depth hypnosis, rather than for any single modality. She also writes poems and blog posts and shares guided meditations and tapping videos on YouTube. Her own description of the work as gentle and profound, reaching physical, emotional and spiritual realms, is worth weighing against the clinical grounding she brings to it.
