Description
What if your spiritual practice didn't ask you to escape the world, but to meet it more fully? The Living Dharma Program is an eight-month journey that transforms the Buddha's Noble Eightfold Path from abstract philosophy into lived wisdom—woven directly into your relationships, work, and daily challenges. Led by experienced teachers Dawn Mauricio and Yong Oh, this program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre, CA, invites you to discover that practice and life aren't separate realms but partners in your unfolding freedom.
Over these months, you'll explore right speech, right action, right livelihood, and the other facets of the path through guided reflection, group inquiry, and personal practice. This isn't intellectual study alone—it's embodied wisdom that meets you where you are, with rigor and deep compassion. Whether you're navigating workplace ethics, healing relationships, or clarifying your life's direction, the Eightfold Path becomes your map.
The program vision is grounded in a liberating truth: personal healing and collective healing are one movement. As you steady your own practice, you become an agent of compassion in the world. Spiritual steadiness emerges not as escape but as deeper engagement—with yourself, others, and what matters most.
What to Expect
Each month brings a live session with the teaching team, creating a rhythm that holds your practice. Between sessions, peer groups and an active online community provide ongoing support, reflection, and accountability—so you're never practicing alone. You'll move from inspiration to integration: hearing the teachings, exploring them through inquiry, and bringing them into your actual life.
Expect a blend of contemplative practice, discussion, and real-world application. The atmosphere honors both intellectual rigor and heartfelt accessibility—you don't need to be an advanced meditator to participate. What you do need is genuine curiosity and willingness to examine how the Eightfold Path shows up in your choices, speech, and relationships.
Participants leave with a living practice, a community of fellow seekers, and concrete tools for navigating life's complexities with wisdom and integrity.
